Investigation of refraction of light depending on the concentration of the medium
The behavior of light is a complex and difficult area of physics. Hence, I decided to work on that phenomenon. Besides used to wonder how the light behaves when I was a kid. Also, the propagation of light excites me a lot. Because of my interest in the behavior of light, I decided to investigate the refraction of light. This subject is under the title of “Waves” in the IB curriculum so while working on the light I will be working on the fundamentals of the waves. These reasons made me choose this investigation
Investigation of Heat and Sound Insulation

other
Calculating the optimum efficiency of a real-life thermoelectric generator and the maximum coefficient of performance of a thermoelectric refrigerator
With the high global warming levels, environmentally friendly devices have started to be the center of many researches. This essay specifically focuses on thermoelectric refrigeration systems since they are amongst the most efficient and environmentally friendly cooling systems. The use of thermoelectric refrigerators are limited to a small scale in daily life
applications. The purpose of this essay is to discover the reason behind the limited use. Exploring how basic thermoelectric generators work and finding a real-life application to compare the theoretical maximum efficiency and the optimum efficiency of daily-life ideal materials is the first part of the investigation. The calculation of the theoretical minimum temperature needed in order to achieve the working current and the maximum coefficient of performance is the second part. These two parts form the flow of the essay in indicating the efficiency and utility of thermoelectric refrigerators
Average distance between two randomly selected points on the circumference of a unit circle and the perimeter of a unit square
Randomness is an interesting concept, both in general and specifically in mathematics. Not only is it challenging to express randomness in mathematical terminology, it is also challenging to find common ground on how problems involving randomness should be approached. These difficulties become even more prominent when infinity gets involved in a question with randomness as well, two concepts that are amongst the most infamous and controversial ones in mathematics. My involvement with the intersection of these two topics began thanks to me stumbling upon the Bertrand Paradox
