Development of a maintenance plan for the Metalworking Indumetalsa S.A.S.
No full textThis document presents as its main objective the development of a maintenance plan for the assets of the metalworking company INDUMETALSA SAS, which to date does not have an established plan and the machines are intervened only when they are disabled for their operation, which entails having cost overruns due to downtime for both the machine and its operator, in addition to high repair costs when carrying out purely corrective maintenance, which implies low reliability and reduced production, since these repairs have interrupted activities for up to more of 5 days generating considerable losses. This company is dedicated to industrial maintenance, the manufacture of extrusion molds and special machining for which it is essential to have the availability of the machines since these maintenance and manufacturing activities must be carried out and delivered in certain times. Therefore, this document deals with showing in detail an analysis of the company's assets that through visits to the facilities proceeded to give a diagnosis of the machines, as well as characterize each one of them by making an analysis of the important parts. that affect the operation of the same, later an evaluation was carried out between the maintenance strategies TPM, RCM and AMEF to determine which of them adapts to the needs and the assets of the company with this evaluation it was concluded that the analysis of mode and Failure effect is the appropriate strategy for the company since the structure of the FMEA will allow concentrating the information regarding the modes, effects, causes of failures and establishing maintenance activities among other components that comprise the plan. Finally, provide a solution to the problem of unproductiveness and cost overruns for repairs by developing this maintenance plan that will increase the reliability and availability of the assets of INDUMETALSA S.A.S.Este documento presenta como objetivo principal la elaboración de un plan de mantenimiento para los activos de la empresa metalmecánica INDUMETALSA S.A.S., la cual a la fecha no cuenta con un plan establecido y se intervienen las maquinas solo cuando quedan inhabilitadas para su operación lo cual conlleva tener sobrecostos debido a los tiempos de inactividad tanto de la máquina como de su operario además de los altos costos de reparación al llevar a cabo netamente mantenimiento correctivo, lo que implica baja confiabilidad y reducción de la producción ya que dichas reparaciones han interrumpido las actividades hasta más de 5 días generando pérdidas considerables. Esta empresa se dedica al mantenimiento industrial, la fabricación de moldes de extrusión y mecanizados especiales para lo cual es indispensable contar con la disponibilidad las maquinas ya que estas actividades de mantenimiento y fabricaciones se deben realizar y entregar en tiempos determinados. Por lo cual, este documento se ocupa de mostrar en detalle un análisis de los activos de la compañía que mediante visitas en las instalaciones se procedió a dar un diagnóstico de las máquinas, así mismo caracterizar cada una de ellas haciendo una análisis de las partes importantes que afectan la operación de las mismas, posteriormente se realizó una evaluación entre las estrategias de mantenimiento TPM, RCM y AMEF para determinar cuál de ellas se adapta a las necesidades y los activos de la empresa con esta evaluación se concluyó que el análisis de modo y efecto de falla es la estrategia adecuada para la empresa ya que la estructura del AMEF permitirá concentrar la información referente a los modos, los efectos, las causas de las fallas y establecer las actividades de mantenimiento entre otros componentes que comprenden el plan. Finalmente darle solución al problema de improductividad y sobrecostos por concepto de reparaciones elaborando este plan de mantenimiento que permitirá aumentar la confiabilidad y disponibilidad de los activos de INDUMETALSA S.A.S
Thermodynamic and kinetic analysis of the reaction of the oil palm empty fruit bunch gasification process for the cogeneration of electrical energy and heat.
No full textThe first phase of the project corresponds to the physicochemical characterization of the palm rachis, through a bibliographic review, where it is identified that the palm rachis has a high energy potential, due to its high percentage of volatile material. Following this, the project includes the proposal of two process schemes, the first contemplating an open gas cycle and the second a closed gas cycle, as well as the development of a PFD diagram. As the next phase of the project, the kinetic model is carried out, developing the calculation equations by means of an analytical method, and identifying the kinetic parameters of the selected reactions, obtaining as a result that the composition of the synthesis gas is as follows, 48% for CO, 0.019% for CO2 and 6.71% for H2. The thermodynamic analysis of this project is based on the results of the kinetic model, implementing the Coolprop computational tool to calculate the thermodynamic properties of the currents of the two proposed process schemes. In accordance with the above according to the results obtained, the substance R134a is selected for the first scheme and propane for the second scheme. A comparative analysis of the results obtained with respect to those available in the literature is performed. The project contemplates a cost analysis, according to the selected equipment, to evaluate a possible decrease in the costs of electrical energy in the palm oil extraction plants and consequently promote renewable energy alternatives in the Colombian palm industry.La primera fase del proyecto corresponde a la caracterización fisicoquímica del raquis de palma, mediante una revisión bibliográfica, en donde se identifica que el raquis de palma tiene un alto potencial energético, debido a su alto porcentaje de material volátil. Seguido a ello el proyecto contempla la propuesta de dos esquemas de proceso, el primero contemplando un ciclo de gas abierto y el segundo un ciclo de gas cerrado, así mismo el desarrollo de un diagrama PFD. Como siguiente fase del proyecto se realiza el modelo cinético, desarrollando las ecuaciones de cálculo mediante método analítico, e identificando los parámetros cinéticos de las reacciones seleccionadas, obteniendo como resultado que la composición del gas de síntesis es la siguiente, 48% para el CO, 0,019% para el CO2 y 6,71% para el H2. El análisis termodinámico del presente proyecto parte de los resultados del modelo cinético, implementando la herramienta computacional Coolprop para el cálculo de las propiedades termodinámicas de las corrientes de los dos esquemas de proceso propuestos. De acuerdo con lo anterior conforme a los resultados obtenidos, se selecciona la sustancia R134a para el primer esquema y el propano para el segundo esquema. Se realiza un análisis comparativo de los resultados obtenidos con respecto a los disponibles en la literatura. El proyecto contempla un análisis de costos, conforme a los equipos seleccionados, para evaluar una posible disminución en los costos de energía eléctrica en las plantas de extracción de aceite de palma y consecuentemente promover alternativas de energías renovables en la industria palmera colombiana

No full textThe urban landscapes have important effects when rebuilding city in extreme situations, the presence or absence of water, the conditions of the vegetation, the furniture influences how the city lives in case of emergency. The planning of the territory in these cases goes beyond rebuilding. Moreover, it is a concern for settlements in an integral way, due to the identification of some physical, economic, social and environmental values. In the stage of the case of the island of Providencia, which has been exposed to a strong hurricane a few months ago, and that this brought consequences not only in the physical infrastructure of the island but also in its economy, which is mainly governed by tourism. The thesis proposes to reinterpret and apply the characteristics of traditional island architecture in an urban and architectural model of eco-cultural tourism, with the ultimate goal of reactivating the economy of the island of Providencia. ColombiaLos paisajes urbanos tienen efectos importantes al momento de reconstruir ciudad en situaciones extremas, la presencia o ausencia de agua, las condiciones de la vegetación, el mobiliario influye en cómo se habita la ciudad en caso de emergencia. La planeación del territorio en estos casos va más allá de reconstruir. Es más, una preocupación por los asentamientos de una forma integral, por medo de la identificación de algunos valores físicos, económicos, sociales y ambientales. No full textOne of the most used polymers in the industry is low density polyethylene thanks to its physicochemical properties, resistance to high temperatures and mechanical hardness, however, given the massive use that society has given to this material, it has brought with it environmental problems. , where its accumulation and final disposal have affected the ecosystem and people's health. For this reason, this project seeks to carry out a biodegradation model of LDPE mediated by fungal cultures in submerged liquid fermentation with the colonization of the material and also reduce the contamination generated by these residues in the future.Uno de los polímeros más utilizados en la industria es el polietileno de baja densidad gracias a sus propiedades fisicoquímicas, resistencia a altas temperaturas y dureza mecánica, sin embargo, dado el uso masivo que la sociedad le ha dado a este material, ha traído consigo problemas ambientales, en donde su acumulación y disposición final han afectado el ecosistema y la salud de las personas. No full textThe objective of this work was to develop a proposal for the production of biohydrogen using a Colombian agroindustrial waste as a substrate. For each of the residues, the amount of waste, the carbohydrates present in them and the C/N ratio were established. Using the PUGH matrix, it was determined that the residue with which the hydrogen production will be carried out is the sugar cane heart. Subsequently, a bibliographic review was carried out on the microorganisms that produce hydrogen, specifying for each one the optimum temperature and pH for growth, as well as the hydrogen production yield. Likewise, for the selection of the microorganism, use was made of the PUGH matrix, obtaining as a result that Enterobacter cloacae is the bacterium with which hydrogen production will be carried out.El objetivo de este trabajo fue desarrollar una propuesta para la producción de biohidrógeno empleando como sustrato un residuo de la agroindustria colombiana. Principalmente, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de los residuos de las agroindustrias más representativas en Colombia, Para cada uno de los residuos se estableció la cantidad desechada, los carbohidratos presentes en estos y la relación C/N. Haciendo uso de la matriz PUGH se determinó que el residuo con el cual se va a llevar a cabo la producción de hidrógeno es el cogollo de caña de azúcar. Posteriormente, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre los microorganismos que producen hidrógeno, especificando para cada uno temperatura y pH óptimo de crecimiento, así como el rendimiento de producción de hidrógeno. Igualmente, para la selección del microorganismo, se hizo uso de la matriz PUGH obteniéndose como resultado que la Enterobacter cloacae es la bacteria con la cual se llevara a cabo la producción de hidrógeno
