Numerical simulation of the behavior of air currents for the use of air at the University of America
No full textThis article shows the analysis of air currents for the University of America using numerical simulations of computational fluid dynamic which have an important role in providing efficiently and accurately results corresponding to the air flow in relation to speed. The behavior of air currents is evaluated using certain parameters and flow conditions, such as temperature, speed, density and geometric characteristics. This document shows the development of a simulation with an air current flow determined by the south and west direction, the data was provided by the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (Ideam), and were use in a computational model of the geometry of the infrastructure of the university, where different parameters related to the discretization of the domain, the initial conditions and the border conditions were applied, the results of this analysis show an average air speed between 12.45 m/s and 17.79 m/s, from where It is concluded that the implementation of wind energy in the university is feasible.En este artículo se muestra el análisis de las corrientes de aire para la universidad de América usando simulaciones numéricas de dinámica computacional de fluidos las cuales tienen un papel importante a la hora de facilitar de forma eficaz y precisa resultados correspondientes al flujo del aire con relación a la velocidad. Se evalúa el comportamiento de las corrientes de aire utilizando ciertos parámetros y condiciones de flujo, como la temperatura, velocidad, densidad y características geométricas. En este documento se muestra el desarrollo de una simulación con un flujo de corriente de aire determinado por la dirección sur y oeste, datos proporcionados por el Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (Ideam), para esto se creó un modelo computacional de la geometría de la infraestructura de la universidad, donde se aplicaron diferentes parámetros relacionados con la discretización del dominio, las condiciones iniciales y las condiciones de frontera, los resultados muestran una velocidad promedio del aire entre 12.45 m/s y 17.79 m/s, de donde se concluye que la implementación de energía eólica en la universidad es viable

No full textThe “Guidelines for the management of change through the quality management system, in the Minuto de Dios schools and the Gimnasio Campestre San Rafael of the Minuto de Dios Educational Corporation” propose a course, a structured scheme that, on the one hand , contemplates the technical component of the change from the perspective of the NTC ISO 9001:2015 and its requirements, reflected and outlined in the current Multisite certification of the CEMID and, on the other, warns the importance of the human component of change management to through the analysis of the proposed theoretical framework. The investigative exercise revealed that current trends and practices, derived from the Corporation's own experience in the last five years, contributed to the relevant, concrete and practical construction of the main objective of the investigation, advanced to propose profound changes in the educational field in the mentioned schools.Los “Lineamientos para la gestión del cambio a través del sistema de gestión de calidad, en los colegios el Minuto de Dios y el Gimnasio Campestre San Rafael de la Corporación Educativa Minuto de Dios” plantean un derrotero, un esquema estructurado que, por un lado, contempla el componente técnico del cambio desde la perspectiva de la NTC ISO 9001:2015 y sus requerimientos, plasmados y trazados en la certificación Multisite actual de la CEMID y, por el otro, advierte la importancia del componente humano de la gestión del cambio a través del análisis del marco teórico propuesto. No full textIn the present project, the physicochemical, sensory and microbiological properties of an Amber American Ale style craft beer using malt from a gluten-free cereal as an adjunct are evaluated. Initially, the characteristics of gluten-free cereals are exposed in order to choose the most optimal option for the production of Ale-type beer. The necessary stages for the malting process of the chosen cereal, which is purple corn (Zea Mays), are presented. Likewise, the operating conditions for the production of beer are established taking into account the quality parameters established for the style of beer.En el presente proyecto se evalúan las propiedades fisicoquímicas, sensoriales y microbiológicas de una cerveza artesanal tipo Ale del estilo Amber American Ale usando malta de un cereal sin gluten como adjunto. Inicialmente se exponen las características de los cereales sin gluten con el fin de escoger la opción más óptima para la elaboración de la cerveza tipo Ale. Se presentan las etapas necesarias para el proceso de malteado del cereal escogido, el cual es maíz morado (Zea Mays). Así mismo, se establecen las condiciones de operación para la producción de la cerveza teniendo en cuenta los parámetros de calidad establecidos para el estilo de la cerveza

No full textEducation in Colombia over the years has been affected by low investment in this sector, with respect to public spending, in addition to little investment in technology, which generates low economic growth for the country. One of the main problems that comes with not having the resources, nor the best access to a good education, is dropout. In this work, the behavior of dropout in higher education and its main socioeconomic determinants for the departments of Colombia are analyzed. , during the period from 2014 to 2020. The work begins with a brief analysis of the importance of human capital and its contribution to economic growth.La educación en Colombia con el paso de los años se ha visto afectada por la baja inversión en este sector, con respecto al gasto público, además de la poca inversión en tecnología, lo cual genera un bajo crecimiento económico para el país. Uno de los principales problemas que con lleva no tener los recursos, ni el mejor acceso a una buena educación es la deserción, en el presente trabajo se analiza el comportamiento de la deserción en la educación superior y sus principales determinantes socioeconómicos para los departamentos de Colombia, durante el periodo de 2014 a 2020. No full textIn Colombia there is a population of approximately seven million domestic animals for which different buildings opted for veterinary use in order to supply temporary shelter, medical attention and/or adoption. Although most domestic animals live within a human family nucleus that can meet their needs, many species lack this privilege and, on the contrary, have been mistreated and abandoned on public roads, generating greater demand for the care and protection of these living beings.
The Biocentro Animal project is developed to generate a new public facility of a veterinary nature in an urban context in the city of Bogotá in response to the high demand for the shelter, entertainment, education and welfare of domestic animals through spatial biomimetics, the ethology and a multiple architectural program.En Colombia existe una población aproximada a siete millones de animales domésticos para los cuales distintas edificaciones optaron un uso veterinario a fin de suplir refugio temporal, atención médica y/o adopción. Aunque la mayoría de los animales domésticos radican dentro de un núcleo familiar humano que puede suplir sus necesidades, muchas especies carecen de este privilegio y por el contrario han sido maltratadas y abandonadas en vía pública generando mayor demanda respecto al cuidado y resguardo de estos seres vivos.

No full textThe use of thermo-mineral waters in the country has been linked to the great potential of activities for recreational, therapeutic and medicinal purposes and is attributed to a large number of health benefits including improving blood pressure and oxygenation. The biodiversity, diverse ecosystems and variety of climates in Colombia allow the development of this activity, however, its tourism potential remains unexploited, developing ecotourism will allow sustainable development of local communities and conservation of ecosystems. This is why we seek to deduce the environmental impacts generated as a consequence of the hot springs in the department of Cundinamarca, taking into account their classification, associated physicochemical and social characteristics, through a research methodology with a qualitative and descriptive approach, information was collected. about the amount of hot springs present in Cundinamarca, their physicochemical, socioeconomic and environmental variables derived from the activity, identifying a total of 49 hot springs in the department, with very varied values of temperature, pH and conductivity, in addition to the little development of the activity throughout the country, taking an important role in socioeconomic variables, such as the type of administration thereof, thus affecting the development of the different municipalities, using sustainable practices to reduce the environmental impact, emphasizing the responsible use of water, energy and adequate waste management avoiding changes in temperature, pH, nutrient concentration, or increase in chemical or biological substances in underground aquifers and surface water bodies.El aprovechamiento de aguas termo minerales en el país ha sido envuelto al gran potencial de actividades con fines recreativos, terapéuticos y medicinales y se les hace atribución de una gran cantidad de beneficios a la salud incluyendo mejorar la presión sanguínea y oxigenación. La biodiversidad, diversos ecosistemas y variedad de climas en Colombia permite el desarrollo de dicha actividad, sin embargo, su potencial turístico aún sigue sin explotar, el desarrollar el ecoturismo permitirá un desarrollo sostenible de las comunidades locales y conservación de los ecosistemas. Es por esto que se busca deducir los impactos ambientales generados como consecuencia de los termales en el departamento de Cundinamarca teniendo en cuenta su clasificación, características fisicoquímicas y sociales asociadas, por medio de una metodología de investigación con enfoque cualitativo y de carácter descriptivo se recopilo información acerca de la cantidad de aguas termales presentes en Cundinamarca, sus variables fisicoquímicos, socioeconómicos y ambientales derivados de la actividad, identificando un total de 49 termales en el departamento, con valores de temperatura, pH y conductividad muy variados, además del poco desarrollo de la actividad en todo el país, tomando un papel importante las variables socioeconómicas, como el tipo de administración de los mismos afectando así el desarrollo de los diferentes municipios, utilizando practicas sostenibles para disminuir el impacto ambiental haciendo énfasis en uso responsable de agua, energía y adecuada gestión de residuos evitando cambios en temperatura, pH, concentración de nutrientes, o aumento de sustancias químicas o biológicas en acuíferos subterráneos y cuerpos de agua superficiales

No full textIn this project, a financial feasibility study will be carried out for a conceptual design of a
tidal energy micropower plant in Bajo Baudó, Choco, Colombia. It will start with the
approach to the problem from different perspectives and the research will be limited to the
solution to a social problem from an engineering perspective. In addition, terms and
basic concepts for its development.
It should be noted that, in the development of the project, a conceptual and basic design is established, which
allows you to select the micro-central equipment from the search for concepts, the analysis of the
problem based on the different scenarios and finally, propose one of the possible
solutions to the problem.
This development will be worked from the macro to the micro, starting from the definition of the potential
of use of the municipality and more specifically the selected point. From this,
carries out the conceptual design, focusing on the main equipment needed to
implement a system such as the hydraulic turbine and electric generator, also a
definition of the reservoir to present a basic system and, finally, the study of the
main equipment, the turbine, in order to select the best option for it.
The project will follow the procedure of the flow chart prepared which can be seen in
Figure 1.En este proyecto se realizará un estudio de factibilidad financiera de un diseño conceptual de una
microcentral de energía mareomotriz en Bajo Baudó, Choco, Colombia. Se empezará con el
planteamiento del problema desde diferentes perspectivas y se limitará la investigación a la
solución de una problemática social desde una visión ingenieril. Además, se definirán términos y
conceptos básicos para el desarrollo de esta.
Cabe resaltar que, en el desarrollo del proyecto, se establece un diseño conceptual y básico, el cual
permite seleccionar los equipos de la microcentral desde la búsqueda de conceptos, el análisis del
problema con base en los diferentes escenarios y finalmente, proponer una de las posibles
soluciones a la problemática.
Este desarrollo se trabajará desde lo macro hasta lo micro, partiendo de la definición del potencial
de aprovechamiento del municipio y más específico el punto seleccionado. A partir de ello, se
realiza el diseño conceptual, centrándose en los principales equipos que necesitan para
implementar un sistema como son la turbina hidráulica y generador eléctrico, también una
definición del embalse para presentar un sistema básico y, por último, se presentará el estudio del
equipo principal, la turbina, con el fin de seleccionar la mejor opción de la misma.
En el proyecto se seguirá el procedimiento del diagrama de flujo elaborado el cual se observa en
la Figura 1
