Design of the process for obtaining alkyd resin made from vegetable oils on a laboratory scale in Sigra S.A.
No full textThe project presented below consists of the design of the process of obtaining an alkyd resin based on vegetable oils on a laboratory scale at the company Sigra S.A. This project is carried out based on a bibliographic review of the methods of obtaining alkyd resin, the above is done in order to identify the variables with more influence on the process and at the same time propose a design of experiments that allow obtaining a good quality alkyd resin according to regulations.
Bibliographic research focuses mainly on the different reactive routes through which the obtaining of an alkyd resin can be carried out, thus listing variables such as residence time, temperature, agitation, raw materials, vegetable oils and percentage of oil in the resin. To formulate an experimental methodology that makes it possible to obtain the desired final product, an experimental check of the bibliography is developed identifying whether the variables listed have a significant influence or not on the final product, thus generating information that allows structuring the appropriate methodology and develop the experiment design with the most prominent variables in the experimental verification. The main objective of the experiment design is to perform an analysis of the final product based on the quality parameters (ASTM D1725 and ASTM D1639) and thus establish the specific conditions to propose an industrial escalation and after that, estimate the costs of the final product.El proyecto presentado a continuación consiste en el diseño del proceso de obtención de una resina alquídica a base de aceites vegetales a nivel laboratorio en la empresa Sigra S.A. Este proyecto se lleva a cabo realizando una revisión bibliográfica sobre los métodos de obtención de resina alquídica, lo anterior se realiza con el fin de identificar las variables con más influencia sobre el proceso y al mismo tiempo plantear un diseño de experimentos que permita obtener una resina alquídica de buena calidad según la normatividad. La investigación bibliográfica se enfoca principalmente en las diferentes rutas reactivas por las que se puede llevar a cabo la obtención de una resina alquídica, enlistando así variables como tiempo de residencia, temperatura, agitación, materias primas, aceites vegetales y porcentaje de aceite en la resina. Para formular una metodología experimental que posibilite obtener el producto final deseado, se desarrolla una comprobación experimental de la bibliografía identificando si las variables enlistadas influyen de manera significativa o no en el producto final, de esta manera se genera información que permite estructurar la metodología adecuada y desarrollar el planteamiento del diseño de experimentos con las variables más destacadas en la comprobación experimental. El objetivo principal del diseño de experimentos es realizar un análisis del producto final en función de los parámetros de calidad (ASTM D1725 y ASTM D1639) y así establecer las condiciones específicas para plantear un escalamiento industrial y posterior a ello, estimar los costos del producto final.Sigra S.A

No full textIn the development of the degree work, the different activities aimed at fulfilling the objectives presented in the preliminary project were carried out. This was established under the guidelines of Decree 1072 of 2015 as the main guide, together with Resolution 1111 of 2017, which gives the parameters to follow from the diagnosis, until the internal audit; For the following chapters, the guidelines established in Resolution 0312 of 2019 in its chapter 1 are taken as a fundamental parameter. The project began with a diagnosis, which defined the situation presented by the company in terms of compliance with the minimum standards present in Resolution 1111 of 2017, after which the legal matrix was developed, which allowed identifying the laws, regulations, and decrees, which the company must comply with for its operation, after which the hazard identification and risk mitigation matrix was developed in which risks and safety risks were studied and evaluated.En el desarrollo del trabajo de grado se llevaron a cabo las diferentes actividades tendientes a cumplir con los objetivos presentados en el anteproyecto, este se estableció bajo los lineamientos del Decreto 1072 de 2015 como guía principal, junto con la Resolución 1111 de 2017, la cual da los parámetros a seguir desde el diagnóstico, hasta la auditoría interna; para los siguientes capítulos se toma como parámetro fundamental los lineamientos establecidos en la Resolución 0312 de 2019 en su capítulo 1 . This restructuring was carried out by means of four chapters, the first was an external and internal diagnosis of the company where it was possible to identify the strengths, threats, weaknesses and opportunities of the organization, the second a market study where a respective analysis of the clients and the products managed by this agency was carried out in order to be able to establish a research of the administrative and thus to establish a third party feasibility.En el presente trabajo se realizó una restructuración comercial administrativa en donde se utilizaron las diversas herramientas de la Ingeniería Industrial con el fin de diagnosticar evaluar y determinar las estrategias adecuadas que ayuden a mejorar los procesos comerciales y administrativos de la organización. No full textThe development of a supervisor of operating variables of the thermal plant is a project based on the instrumentation of the equipment, where an analysis of the data obtained by the primary control elements is carried out. To achieve the aforementioned, a characterization of all the instruments assembled in the plant was carried out in order to identify the operating parameters and the correct way of use. The preparation of a P & ID plan was necessary to achieve the flow of the process, in addition to identifying the control loops needed for supervision. Since the thermal plant is a new laboratory bench, the laboratory guide corresponding to instrumentation and control processes was updated; Finally, a user interface was programmed through LabVIEW 2012 software.El desarrollo de un supervisorio de variables de funcionamiento de la planta térmica es un proyecto fundamentado en la instrumentación del equipo, donde se realiza un análisis de los datos obtenidos por los elementos primarios de control. Para lograr lo mencionado anteriormente se realizó una caracterización de todos los instrumentos montados en la planta con el fin de identificar los parámetros de funcionamiento y la correcta forma de uso. La elaboración de un plano P&ID fue necesario para lograr plasmar los flujos del proceso, además de identificar los lazos de control necesarios para la supervisión. For this, the theory of the electromagnetic laws that govern the phenomenon of the electric current, the main and most important element of the furnace is the inductor coil, it was designed taking into account the magnetic parameters and the electrical capacities. That allow to determine the number of turns, electric currents, driver's indicators, cooling system and power dissipated.En este proyecto se realizó el diseño de un horno por inducción para fundición de materiales no ferrosos específicamente latón, cobre y bronce aplicando la técnica de calentamiento por inducción electromagnética. Para ello se tuvo en cuenta la teoría desglosada por Faraday, ampere y las leyes electromagnéticas que gobiernan el fenómeno de la corriente eléctrica, el principal elemento y más importante del horno es la bobina inductora, se diseñó teniendo en cuenta los parámetros magnéticos y capacidades eléctricas que permitieron determinar el número de vueltas, corrientes eléctricas circulantes, calibres del conductor, sistema de refrigeración y potencia disipada
Technical-financial evaluation of the alkali-surfactant-polymer injection in candidate wells of a field "A" located in the basin of the eastern plains
No full textThis work presents the description and geological generalities of the Field "A" of the Orientals Plains basin, operated by the company CEPSA Colombia S.A., including the stratigraphic column, sedimentary model, petrophysical analysis, mother rock, generating rock, migration of hydrocarbons and the location of each stratum to be treated. The recovery methods used in this field are also explained and described. Next, different cases of study are presented contemplating the production tests, pressure tests, well completions, distance to the facilities, continuity of sand bodies, recovery factor and reserves which allow to select among the existing wells the necessary conditions to obtain different scenarios of chemical injection tests of ASP. Through the use of reservoir simulation software CMG (Computer Modeling Group), several scenarios are presented where the chemical injection simulation is carried out, where different well arrangements and combinations of alkali, surfactant and polymer chemical agents are presented. Once the simulation scenarios were developed, the recovery factor obtained in each case was observed, in order to determine which of them have greater recovery factor. Additionally, a comparison of results between the case studies developed in the CMG reservoir simulator and the results of a CEOR pilot project implemented in a field of the Eastern Plains Basin operated by the company CEPSA Colombia S.A. Finally, the financial viability of the different cases of the chemical injection study of Field "A" is evaluated through cash flow projections and financial statements, which, based on the Net Present Value (NPV) indicator, determines whether there is performance or return of the investment made.En este trabajo se presenta la descripción y las generalidades geológicas del Campo “A” de la cuenca de los Llanos Orientales, operado por la empresa CEPSA Colombia S.A., comprendiendo la columna estratigráfica, modelo sedimentario, análisis petrofísico, roca madre, roca generadora, migración de hidrocarburos y la ubicación de cada estrato a tratar. También se explican y se describen los métodos de recobro empleados en este campo. Seguidamente, se presentan diferentes casos de estudio contemplando las pruebas de producción, pruebas de presión, completamientos de pozos, distancia a las facilidades, continuidad de cuerpos de arena, factor de recobro y las reservas las cuales permiten seleccionar entre los pozos existentes las condiciones necesarias para así obtener diferentes escenarios de pruebas de inyección química de ASP. Mediante el uso del software de simulación de yacimientos CMG (Computer Modeling Group), se plantean varios escenarios donde se lleva a cabo la simulación de inyección química, en donde se presentan diferentes arreglos de pozos y combinaciones de los agentes químicos álcali, surfactante y polímero. Una vez desarrollado los escenarios de simulación, se observó el factor de recobro obtenido en cada caso, con el fin de determinar en cuál de ellos se obtuvo un mayor factor de recobro. Adicionalmente, se realiza una comparación de resultados entre los casos de estudio desarrollados en el simulador de yacimientos CMG y los resultados de un proyecto piloto CEOR implementado en un campo de la Cuenca de los Llanos Orientales operado por la empresa CEPSA Colombia S.A. Finalmente se evalúa la viabilidad financiera de los diferentes casos de estudio de inyección química del Campo A por medio de proyecciones de flujo de fondos y estados financieros, los cuales a partir del indicador del Valor Presente Neto (VPN) determina si se tiene rendimiento o retorno de la inversión realizada.CEPSA Colombia S.A
