No full textThis work shows a mathematical model using exergy and energy balance equations for the systems: turbocharged diesel cycle and absorption cooling system. For the diesel cycle, it is important to consider the outlet temperature in the turbocharger from the exhaust gases, which will be based on the heat input from the generator of the single-effect absorption cooling system with ammonia / water working fluid (NH3 -H2O).El presente trabajo muestra un modelo matemático mediante ecuaciones de balances energéticos y exegéticos para los sistemas: ciclo diésel con turbocompresor y el sistema de refrigeración por absorción. Para el ciclo diésel es importante considerar la temperatura de salida en el turbocompresor proveniente de los gases de escape, la cual será base en la entrada de calor del generador del sistema de refrigeración por absorción de simple efecto con fluido de trabajo amoníaco/agua (NH3-H2O)

No full textFor more than half a century there has been talk of systems, management, and quality, and recently given the proliferation of standards and the need to align projects, goals, capacities, and mechanisms for continuous improvement towards an ideal state, it has been demanded the development of integration models that allow the monitoring and appropriation of the management and quality concept. This paper addresses the problem of the relevance of integrated management models, appropriation in the public sector, the concept of maturity and the impact on the achievement of strategic objectives and productivity in terms of public value. To find this relationship, a contextualization is made on organizational management, management systems, integration of standards, maturity and productivity in public entities and their measurement through the creation of public value. Through a qualitative research technique with a descriptive and analytical scope, having as units of analysis the Integrated Management System and the objectives of the Institutional Strategic Plan, applying the UNE 66174: 2010 tool, through semi-structured interviews the level of maturity is evaluated in the interval 2013 to 2018 based on the NTC - ISO 9004: 2009 and the information collected, which is compared with the percentage achieved in the strategic objectives and with productivity. Maturity evolved from a basic level to an adequate one. Likewise, as the level of maturity increased, productivity also increased, reflected in the opening of new services and the perception of more positive quality. It is concluded that the Integrated Management System achieved a level of maturity categorized as adequate and effective and that this level had a positive relationship with the fulfillment of the strategic objectives and productivity.Desde hace más de medio siglo se habla de sistemas, gestión y calidad, y recientemente dada la proliferación de normas y la necesidad de alinear los proyectos, las metas, las capacidades y los mecanismos para la mejora continua hacia un estado ideal, se ha demandado el desarrollo de modelos de integración que permitan el seguimiento y apropiación del concepto de gestión y calidad. En el presente trabajo se aborda la problemática de la pertinencia de los modelos integrados de gestión, la apropiación en el sector público, el concepto de madurez y el impacto en el logro de los objetivos estratégicos y la productividad en términos de valor público. Para encontrar esta relación, se hace una contextualización sobre gestión organizacional, sistemas de gestión, integración de normas, madurez y productividad en las entidades publicas y su medición por medio de la creación de valor público. Mediante una técnica de investigación de carácter cualitativo con alcance descriptivo y analítico, teniendo como unidades de análisis el Sistema Integrado de Gestión y los objetivos del Plan Estratégico Institucional, aplicando la herramienta UNE 66174:2010, mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas se evalúa el nivel de madurez en la ventana observación de 2013 a 2018 con base en la NTC - ISO 9004:2009 y la información recolectada, la cual se compara con el porcentaje alcanzado en los objetivos estratégicos y con la productividad. La madurez evolucionó desde un nivel básico hasta uno adecuado. Así mismo en la medida que el nivel de madurez aumentó también se incrementó la productividad reflejada en la apertura de nuevos servicios y la percepción de calidad más positiva. Se concluye que el Sistema Integrado de Gestión logró un nivel de madurez categorizado como adecuado y eficaz y que este nivel tuvo una relación positiva con el cumplimiento de los objetivos estratégicos y la productividad
Evaluation of the viability of a water treatment by activated carbon obtained from bamboo Chusquea Scandens Kunth
No full textFor a tertiary water treatment, the viability and effectiveness of the use of activated carbon obtained from bamboo of the Chusquea Scandens Kunth species was evaluated based on its physical-chemical properties, analyzing the percentages of removal of pollutants in the water. The proposal was initially made with a broad search for technical requirements, determining which water pollutants will have the highest affinity and physical adhesion towards organic material. At the end of the diagnosis of the parameters, the characterization of activated carbon was developed to evaluate its adsorptive capacity using the methylene blue technique, moisture content, ash, iodine number, apparent density, pH and finally the adsorption isotherms where it was obtained. a surface area of 130.8779 m² / g with N2. Likewise, the water to be treated was characterized with the following analyzes: COD, SST, color, turbidity, conductivity, Hydrocarbons and pH, initially the design of experiments was carried out where the factors considered were the initial concentration of adsorbent and stirring time, the Response variables were the percentages of removal of turbidity and color, obtaining values for these of 71.35% and 56.36% respectively.Para un tratamiento terciario del agua se evaluó la viabilidad y efectividad del uso del carbón activado obtenido del bambú de la especie Chusquea Scandens Kunth a partir de sus propiedades físico-químicas analizando los porcentajes de remoción de contaminantes en el agua. La propuesta se realizó inicialmente con una amplia búsqueda de los requerimientos técnicos, determinando que contaminantes del agua tendrán mayor afinidad y adhesión física hacia el material orgánico. Al finalizar el diagnóstico de los parámetros se desarrolló la caracterización del carbón activado para evaluar su capacidad adsortiva utilizando la técnica de azul de metileno, Contenido de humedad, cenizas, índice de yodo, densidad aparente, pH y finalmente las isotermas de adsorción dónde se obtuvo un área superficial de 130.8779 m²/g con N2. Así mismo se caracterizó el agua a tratar con los siguientes análisis: DQO, SST, color, turbidez, conductividad, Hidrocarburos y pH, inicialmente se realizó el diseño de experimentos donde los factores considerados fueron la concentración inicial de adsorbente y tiempo de agitación, las variables respuesta fueron los porcentajes de remoción de turbidez y color, obteniendo unos valores para estas de 71.35% y 56.36% respectivamente

No full textThis document presents as its main objective, to carry out a review of the sustainable agricultural practice of green harvesting for the reduction of the burning of sugarcane in the department of Valle del Cauca and how these practices contribute to sustainability. This is because not only in the department of Vallecaucano, but also in different regions of the country, the burning of sugarcane for harvesting continues without taking into account the environmental impact that this practice causes. Likewise, the effects caused by the traditional practice of burning sugar cane on the three fundamental pillars of sustainability, environmental, social and economic, will be identified. In addition, the potential of green harvesting will be formulated as a sustainable production strategy and as a possible alternative to reduce the environmental impacts caused by the cane industry in the department.Este documento, presenta como objetivo principal, ejecutar una revisión de la práctica agrícola sostenible de cosecha verde para la reducción de quema de cañaduzales en el departamento del Valle del Cauca y cómo estas prácticas, contribuyen a la sostenibilidad. Esto debido a que no solo en el departamento Vallecaucano, sino que también en diferentes regiones del país, las quemas de caña para su cosecha se siguen realizando sin tener en cuenta el impacto ambiental que esta práctica ocasiona. Así mismo, se identificarán las afectaciones que causa la práctica tradicional de quema de caña de azúcar en los tres pilares fundamentales de la sostenibilidad, ambiental, social y económico. En adición, se formulará el potencial de la cosecha verde como una estrategia de producción sostenible y como una posible alternativa para reducir las afectaciones ambientales causadas por la industria de la caña en el departamento
