2/13/2019: Course Change Form MECH 330
MECH 330 is currently a four (4) credit hour course with five (5) contact hours: three (3) lecture and two (2) lab. Currently, the grading for the lab is integrated in the overall course grade. The course will be separated into one, three (3) credit hour lecture course (3 contact hours), MECH 330, and one, one (1) credit hour lab course (two contact hours), MECH331. This arrangement falls in line with the model set in other programs such as Physics (i.e. PHYS 114 and 115). If workload is assessed by credit hour, this change will need to occur to better define the workload associated with this course
8/21/2019: Course Change Form - Acoustics Minor
Change one of the requirement of the Acoustics Minor from
“EE-434: Digital Signal Processing OR MECH-330: Dynamic Systems with Vibrations”
to
“EE-336: Continuous-Time Signals and Systems, EE-338: Discrete-Time Signals and Systems, OR (MECH-330: Dynamic Systems with Vibrations AND MECH-331: Dynamics Systems with Vibrations – Lab)”
Rationale: This change would offer a choice of courses at a similar level, and retains content relevant to the acoustics minor in the signals and systems courses. Change also reflects recent change to MECH-330 course into separate lecture and lab components
12/11/2019: Course Change Form IME 665
This course addition supports the MSE program and fits into the 4xx/6xx paradigm used across the university. In addition to the coursework undergraduates must complete, graduate students are expected to perform literature searches and give short presentations on current or cutting-edge research findings that supplement topics that are discussed throughout the term
12/11/2019: Course Change Form IME 662
This course addition supports MSE programs and fits into the 4xx/6xx paradigm used across the university. In addition to the coursework undergraduates must complete, graduate students are expected to complete additional job simulations using Process Simulate /Jack software for their final project
1/23/2019: Course Change Form MGMT 484
This proposal designates the course as in Management, and provides a new description that better conveys the course content and intent
