Challenges of Migrating Legacies Web to Mobile: A Systematic Literature Review
Get PDFThe multi-device era comes thanks to mobile computing which gives remote access to resources from anywhere changing the people’s life and opening new business opportunities. However, the legacy systems do not render the content properly in mobile devices because they were thought to be only compliant with Web browsers. Economic availability is often the reason why these have not been modernized. This work proposes a systematic literature review about the approaches used for the portabilization or modernization of web 1.0 business applications to mobile devices in the period 2006-2017, from SCOPUS, IEEE, and ACM. The search obtained 824 articles, where 37 were selected based on the inclusion criteria. The research questions were: PI1. What have been the contribution to the portability of business applications to mobile devices? PI2.
What methods have been used? PI3. What is the nature of the contribution found? PI4. What are the objectives that are pursued in the research work?. The conclusions were obtained through the classification of selected papers with respect to focus, scope, type of research and type of contribution to give an answer to research questions. Then, the state of the art determines the main approaches such as model-driven development, content reorganization, augmentation, and specific migrations. However, certain research gaps were detected and detailed which represent exploration opportunities
Influence of vintage, geographic location and cultivar on the structure of microbial communities associated with the grapevine rhizosphere in vineyards of San Juan Province, Argentina
Get PDFSoil microbiomes, as a primary reservoir for plant colonizing fungi and bacteria, play a major role in determining plant productivity and preventing invasion by pathogenic microorganisms. The use of 16S rRNA and ITS high-throughput amplicon sequencing for analysis of complex microbial communities have increased dramatically in recent years, establishing links between wine specificity and, environmental and viticultural factors, which are framed into the elusive terroir concept. Given the diverse and complex role these factors play on microbial soil structuring of agricultural crops, the main aim of this study is to evaluate how external factors, such as vintage, vineyard location, cultivar and soil characteristics, may affect the diversity of the microbial communities present. Additionally, we aim to compare the influence these factors have on the structuring of bacterial and fungal populations associated with Malbec grapevine rhizosphere with that of the more widespread Cabernet Sauvignon grapevine cultivar. Samples were taken from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon cultivars from two different vineyards in the San Juan Province of Argentina. Total DNA extracts from the rhizosphere soil samples were sequenced using Illumina’s Miseq technology, targeting the V3-V4 hypervariable 16S rRNA region in prokaryotes and the ITS1 region in yeasts. The major bacterial taxa identified were Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes, while the major fungal taxa were Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, Mortierellomycetes and a low percentage of Glomeromycetes. Significant differences in microbial community composition were found between vintages and vineyard locations, whose soils showed variances in pH, organic matter, and content of carbon, nitrogen, and absorbable phosphorus
Efectos del Aislamiento, Social, Preventivo y Obligatorio (ASPO) por COVID-19 en la infancia: cuidados, vulnerabilidades y afrontamiento
Get PDFLos efectos provocados por el COVID en la vida cotidiana requieren particular atención en la infancia por la dependencia de los adultos para acceder a recursos y experiencias que favorezcan el bienestar y la menor autonomía y posibilidades que poseen para proveerse de un entorno apropiado a sus necesidades y potencialidades. Para ello, el proyecto aborda los efectos del aislamiento social, preventivo y obligatorio (ASPO) en la alimentación, en el desarrollo psicosocial y socioemocional, en los aprendizajes escolares, en las actividades recreativas, en la socialización con pares, en los afectos y en los vínculos parentales. El interés se centra en cómo se llevan a cabo y perciben los cuidados (cuidarse, ser cuidado y cuidar en el marco de la pandemia) tanto por parte de los adultos como desde la propia experiencia y perspectiva de niños, niñas y adolescentes, teniendo especial preocupación en quienes viven en contextos de vulnerabilidad. En síntesis, el objetivo general es conocer y dimensionar la incidencia del ASPO en las actividades y relaciones cotidianas y dar conocer -y dimensionar- los efectos del aislamiento en niños, niñas y adolescentes, su incidencia en las actividades y relaciones cotidianas y dar cuenta de las estrategias implementadas por los hogares para atenderlos y la presencia de programas sociales y redes comunitarias en el cuidado infantil. Los resultados del estudio permiten recuperar de manera integral, los efectos del ASPO en la población de niños niñas y adolescentes, identificando la desigualdad que ellos expresan en distintas dimensiones de la vida cotidiana, cómo se tramitan los cuidados y se manifiestan modalidades de afrontamiento.The effects caused by COVID in daily life require particular attention in childhood due to the dependence on adults to access resources and experiences that favor wellbeing, and because the less autonomy and possibilities they have to provide themselves with an environment that is appropriate for their needs and potentialities. Hence, the project addresses the effects of social, preventive and compulsory isolation (ASPO, Spanish acronym) on feeding, psychosocial and emotional development, school learning, recreational activities, peer socialization, affection and parental ties. The research focuses on how care (taking care of oneself, being cared and caring for others during the pandemic) is pursued and perceived both by adults and children and adolescents themselves, specially concerning about those living in contexts of vulnerability. In summary, the general aim is to know and size the incidence of ASPO in daily activities and relationships and to account and size the effects of isolation on children and adolescents, its impact on daily activities and relationships and identify the household strategies to nurse them and the social programs and community networks involved in child care. The research is based on a sequential mixed methods design with three moments or steps. The first step implies a qualitative approach focused on individual and group semi-structured interviews carried out by phone or video call. The sample was intentional and involved community, health and education key people. The second step consisted on a quantitative approach over a representative sample of public and private schools, including kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. It involved a phone and online poll through a semi-structured questionnaire to households with children and adolescent (from 3 to 17 years old) of La Plata, Berisso and Ensenada. The third step aimed at identifying children and adolescents´ experiences through ad hoc devices focused on written and artistic outputs. The results of the investigation show the incidence of ASPO on children and adolescents in a comprehensive way, identifying the inequalities that the effects express in different dimensions of daily life, how the care are addressed and how the modes of coping are rehearsed
Consecuencias, visibilizaciones y negaciones de una pandemia: los procesos de autoatención
No full textLa pandemia de COVID-19 evidenció, una vez más, la importancia estructural y decisiva de los procesos de salud/enfermedad/atención-prevención, dado que ha generado consecuencias y reacciones en todos los ámbitos de la vida colectiva e individual, como ningún otro proceso podría generar. En función de ello, se esperaba que la intelligentzia focalizara el papel de este tipo de procesos, pero una vez más los Agamben y los Žižek buscaron de inmediato en la pandemia sus profecías socioideológicas nunca cumplidas, en lugar de tratar de entender la realidad que estaba generando la pandemia en tanto proceso de salud/enfermedad/atención-prevención. Sobre la base de estas tendencias dominantes en la intelectualidad actual, en este texto realicé un análisis de los procesos de autoatención de los padecimientos, basados en los microgrupos, que han constituido el eje de las políticas de salud en todos los países. Es decir, el núcleo básico para enfrentar al COVID-19 ha sido y sigue siendo la autoatención, que constituye una de las estructuras que los microgrupos generan para poder vivir y sobrevivir, pero que la biomedicina ha manejado como “política” propia, ocultando una vez más dónde está el real poder de contención de esta pandemia.The COVID-19 pandemic has shown –once again– the decisive and structural importance of health/disease/care-prevention processes, as it has generated consequences and reactions in all areas of collective and individual life in ways that no other process could. That being said, it was expected that the intelligentsia would focus their attention on these processes; however, figures such as Agamben and Žižek leaped at the opportunity to frame the pandemic in terms of their perennially unfulfilled socioideological prophecies rather than attempting to understand the reality of the pandemic as a health/disease/care-prevention process. Taking these dominant tendencies among contemporary intellectuals as a starting point, in this article I analyze the self-care processes of micro-groups related to disease, which have informed health policies in all countries. In other words, the core strategy for combatting COVID-19 has been and continues to be self-care, which constitutes one of the basic structures that micro-groups generate in order to live and to survive, but that biomedicine has coopted as a “policy” of its own making, thereby masking once again the true locus of power in containing the pandemic
Modos discontinuos y erráticos de transitar un hospital especializado en salud mental y adicciones de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires: la mirada de profesionales de la salud
No full textEl objetivo fue describir la perspectiva de las y los profesionales de la salud sobre los recorridos clínicos erráticos de personas con consumos problemáticos de sustancias que asistían a un hospital monovalente de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, especializado en salud mental y adicciones. Entre octubre de 2017 y octubre de 2018, se realizó una investigación cualitativa de carácter exploratorio, basada en seis estudios de casos que se reponen desde una investigación previa. Para ello, se trabajó con la lectura y el análisis de historias clínicas y entrevistas semiestructuradas a las y los profesionales intervinientes. Entre los principales resultados se encontró que la definición de recorrido clínico errático resultaba poco descriptiva del recorrido de algunas personas usuarias de los dispositivos, por lo que se apeló a un nuevo concepto: el tramo. Esta noción recupera el momento en que la trayectoria se sostiene, aunque implique el pasaje por un dispositivo diferente. Con relación a los objetivos y las estrategias terapéuticas, se relevó una notoria dificultad, tanto para nombrarlos como para delimitarlos. Finalmente resultó llamativa la poca sistematización de las derivaciones intrahospitalarias entre equipos tratantes de salud mental, en comparación a las interconsultas médicas clínicas y derivaciones a otros efectores de salud.The purpose of this study was to describe the perspective of health professionals regarding the discontinuous and erratic clinical trajectories of individuals with problematic substance use at a hospital specialized in mental health and addiction in the City of Buenos Aires. From October 2017 to October 2018, a qualitative exploratory study was carried out based on six case studies recovered from previous research. Medical records were analyzed and semi-structured interviews were conducted with the professionals involved. Among the principal results, we found that the definition of erratic clinical trajectories formulated was not very descriptive of the course of some cases, leading us to propose a new concept, that of the segment (el tramo). This concept accounts for the moment in which the clinical trajectory is sustained, even if that entails switching to a different health service. With respect to objectives and therapeutic strategies, we found a clear difficulty on the part of professionals to name and describe them. Lastly, we found alarmingly little systematization of in-hospital referrals among mental health treatment teams, compared to clinical medical consultations and referrals to other health care providers
Significados de la profesión médica desde la ideología de las y los profesionales de la medicina
No full textSe aborda la ideología de las y los profesionales de la medicina, desde la teoría de Thompson, para entender los significados de la profesión médica, a partir de las categorías: autonomía, normas y valores, y reconocimiento social. Se realizaron 24 entrevistas semiestructuradas a profesionales de la medicina en cuatro ámbitos de trabajo: institucional público, institucional privado, ejercicio privado y ejercicio mixto, en Amecameca, municipio del Estado de México, en el período comprendido de marzo a octubre de 2019. El análisis de los significados expresados por las y los profesionales de la medicina en cada una de las categorías de interés muestra una base condicionada por la estructura del control estatal y por la economía mercantilizada, que valora con mayor significación formas de práctica médica privada. En la conformación ideológica de la profesión médica subsiste un componente práctico inmerso en un romanticismo liberal en un escenario casi extinto que subsiste en la actualidad, sin articularlo a los procesos sociales más generales.This article deals with the ideology of medical professionals in order to understand the meanings attributed to their profession, taking Thompson’s theory as a starting point and centering on the categories of autonomy, norms and values, and social recognition. Twenty-four semi-structured interviews were conducted with medical professionals in Amecameca, a municipality in the State of Mexico, from March to October 2019, in four sectors of service provision: public institutional, private institutional, private practice, and mixed practice. The analysis of meanings expressed by medical professionals with respect to each category of interest reveals that medical professionals are conditioned by the structure of state control and by the commodified economy, where private forms of medical practice are more highly regarded. In the ideological conformation of the medical profession, there remains a practical component imbued with a liberal romanticism in an extinct scenario that still exists today, without being articulated to more general social processes
El hip-hop como forma de expresión y denuncia social: análisis de letras de Rap y Trap en Argentina
No full textEn el presente trabajo se realiza un análisis de dos letras de canciones de Trap y Rap en las cuales se relacionan las problemáticas sociales de la actualidad Argentina de 2018. Se busca identificar la construcción discursiva, a partir de los aportes teóricos y metodológicos de las Teorías de la Enunciación, para poner de manifiesto las desigualdades que afronta un sector específico de la sociedad en este país. En las conclusiones de este trabajo se muestra cómo los autores exponen discursivamente las diferencias entre clases sociales y poderes en Argentina.In the present work, a two-letter analysis of Trap and Rap songs is performed in which the social problems of Argentina's 2017/2018 period are related. We seeks to identify the discursive construction, based on theoretical and methodological contributions of the Theories of Enunciation, to highlight the inequalities faced by a specific sector of society in this country. The conclusions of this paper show how the authors discursively expose the differences between social classes and powers in Argentina
