The need to solve the historical housing deficit in the province of Buenos Aires between the 1930s and 1940s, inspired professionals from various disciplines to carry out research aimed at responding to such problems. Within this framework, the LEMIT carried out in 1943 the investigation of a new construction system that resulted in the construction of the “experimental house”, made entirely with cement-soil”.
This experience and its results would serve as a precedent for the construction of the houses in the Barrio Obrero de Berisso (1947), the first neighborhood in the plan for the massive construction of workers' houses in the province of Buenos Aires, which would take place nationwide between 1946 and 1954 Likewise, the LEMT participated in the preparation of various tests to define the most suitable mortars and materials in the construction of the houses, as well as in the pavements of the same
Relevance of non-activity representation in traveling user behavior profiling for adaptive gamification
Collaborative location collecting systems (CLCS) are collaborative systems where users collects location-based data. When these systems are gamified and aim to adapt the game elements to each user, it may require a user traveling behavior profile. This work presents two approaches of traveling user behavior profiling: a raw series built up with categorical data that describes the user’s activity in a period, and a timed series that is an enhanced version of the first that includes a representation of the non-activity time frames. The profiling of user traveling behavior can be used in adaptive gamification strategies. The approach is evaluated over a behavioral atoms dataset based on a year of Foursquare check-ins. The results showed that both approaches reflex different aspects of traveling user behavior, and also both could be used in a complementary manner

New association between the mite Erythraeus sp. (Acari: Prostigmata: Parasitengona) and the psyllid Russelliana adunca (Hemiptera: Psylloidea)
The association between the ectoparasitic mite, Erythraeus Latreille (Acari: Prostigmata: Parasitengona) and the psyllid Russelliana adunca Burckhardt (Hemiptera: Psylloidea) is reported for the first time. Larval erythraeid mites are not common on psyllids, therefore this first report adds a new host association and widens the distribution of the mite in South America.
It is of interest to know the characteristics and clinical picture of patients who present co-infections with COVID-19.
Objective: To study the co-infection of SARS-CoV-2 with pathogens included in the RP Panel 2.0 FilmArray® in samples from pediatric patients in a third-level hospital. Materials and methods: During April to August 2021, a prospective descriptive study was conducted on 21 Nasopharyngeal Swab samples from pediatrics patients positive for SARS-CoV-2 (iAMP® COVID- 19 Detection Kit from Attila Biosystems). They were processed by PCR multiplex Filmarray® RP 2.0. The characteristics and symptoms of the patients were then described. Results: 12/21 (60%) were outpatients and 8/21 (40%) were hospitalized. 57% of patients were older than 5 years, 24% under 1 year and 19% between 1 and 5 years. The most frequent symptom was fever 18/21 (86%). 90,5% (19/21) of the samples showed no detection of other pathogens. Rhino/enterovirus was detected in one sample and NL63 in another Coronavirus; both belonged to two patients with underlying diseases.
Conclusion: The rate of co-infections was 9,5%. This number could be due to the low circulation of respiratory pathogens in a context with measures to prevent contagion. In the current state of increased circulation of endemic respiratory viruses, the search for co-infections with COVID-19 is of interest

Current trends on role of biological treatment in integrated treatment technologies of textile wastewater
Wastewater discharge is a matter of concern as it is the primary source of water pollution. Consequently, wastewater treatment plays a key role in reducing the negative impact that wastewater discharge produce into the environment. Particularly, the effluents produced by textile industry are composed of high concentration of hazardous compounds such as dyes, as well as having high levels of chemical and biological oxygen demand, suspended solids, variable pH, and high concentration of salt. Main efforts have been focused on the development of methods consuming less water or reusing it, and also on the development of dyes with a better fixation capacity. However, the problem of how to treat these harmful effluents is still pending. Different treatment technologies have been developed, such as coagulation-flocculation, adsorption, membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, advanced oxidation, and biological processes (activated sludge, anaerobic-aerobic treatment, and membrane bioreactor). Concerning to biological treatments, even though they are considered as the most environmentally friendly and economic methods, their industrial application is still uncertain. On the one hand, this is due to the costs of treatment plants installation and, on the other, to the fact that most of the studies are carried out with simulated or diluted effluents that do not represent what really happens in the industries. Integrated treatment technologies by combining the efficiency two or more methodologies used to be more efficient for the decontamination of textile wastewater, than treatments used separately.
The elimination of hazardous compounds had been reported using combination of physical, chemical, and biological processes. On this way, as degradation products can sometimes be even more toxic than the parent compounds, effluent toxicity assessment is an essential feature in the development of these alternatives. This article provides a critical view on the state of art of biological treatment, the degree of advancement and the prospects for their application, also discussing the concept of integrated treatment and the importance of including toxicity assays to reach an integral approach to wastewater treatment
