The Impact of Emergency Haying on Grassland Birds in the Conservation Reserve Program Habitats of Northwest Iowa

Data was collected on breeding grassland bird communities in northwest Iowan Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) fields. Within those fields, CRP grasslands in drought areas could be hayed or grazed for emergency management to harvest supplemental forage for livestock. We compared the bird communities in emergency hayed versus undisturbed grasslands to understand how the drought induced emergency haying affected the grassland birds. Using distance sampling, we found that significantly higher bird richness was found in undisturbed habitat areas compared to the emergency managed hayed areas in the same CRP parcel. In addition, we found that bird density in the emergency managed areas was marginally lower than in the undisturbed areas

Our idea is to solve the problems of customer satisfaction, brand operation quality, and brand marketing efficiency by launching an AI assistant. This AI assistant mainly has three parts: These three parts are innovative integration of AI tools from the value chain. We decompose the five main activities of the value chain into three major ideas: 1. The first part is internal and external logistics plus customer service. Through customer satisfaction surveys, we found that service is a key opportunity to improve our business and a key opportunity to enhance brand advantages. Through an AI system to achieve full life cycle management of customer orders, delivery, installation, and maintenance, it will greatly improve customer satisfaction and brand recommendation. 2. The second part is to add the AI core of brand management to the operation system of the value chain. Through the ISO 20671 brand evaluation standard, the internal and external indicators of the five aspects of brand promotion are systematically collected and analyzed regularly, the main data of competitors are captured, and after intelligent analysis, the current problems and advantages of the brand are clarified, the marketing activities are guided, and the brand strength is simulated and calculated to measure the brand value. 3. The third part is the marketing part. We plan to develop three tools to improve the quality of marketing. The first one is the AI management system for brand quality, which uses AI tools to identify incorrect brand usage to increase the quality of the brand. For example, brand logos, colors, wrong backgrounds, etc. The second is news and articles that are very important for corporate communication. We use AI to build a screening and detection tool for common errors. We also consider using generative AI to write some article content in the future. The third is to combine the results of AI intelligence analysis in value chain operations to push AI intelligent content posted on social media, etc., to improve marketing ROI

The Impact of Structural Gamification on Student Motivation and Engagement in a Middle School Language Arts Classroom

Engagement through gamification can play a crucial role in enhancing student motivation. Gamification provides direct feedback, makes learning interactive, fosters collaboration, and makes learning more autonomous (Kuh, 2001; Reeve & Tseng, 2011). Including game-thinking and game mechanics in the classroom adds an aspect of engagement that may otherwise be lacking. This action research study explored the impact of structural gamification on student engagement and motivation when incorporated in a middle school language arts classroom. Using a mixed-methods approach, the researcher measured student engagement and motivation. It reported detailed perceptions of participants through survey responses, examined achievement data from summative assessments, and incorporated observations from the teachers’ reflective journaling. Statistical analysis revealed that incorporating structural gamification in the middle school language arts classroom had no significance in student motivation, student engagement, or student achievement. Qualitative data, however, showed positive student perception and an added benefit in the classroom. The findings from this study are meant to aid educators in increasing student engagement and motivation in the classroom

Outlaws, Lawmen, and the Emergence of Justice on the Western Frontier

My thesis covers the beginning of law and law enforcement in the Wild West, with a focus on the Arizona and New Mexico Territories between 1840-1890. I utilized historical records to understand a greater political landscape in these territories, to answer the question if the Wild West was as wild as it was remembered. From my findings, the Wild West might not be as wild as originally thought, due to the common historical representations not fully being supported by the numbers. Because numbers don\u27t fully support the title, it is important that scholars look deeper into the research before deeming the Wild West as a dangerous time period
