Augmented Reality Lab for Geotechnical Engineering
ALG-AR-Geotech-Lab is an augmented reality (AR) application designed to support undergraduate civil engineering students as they learn standard geotechnical laboratory tests. Instead of relying only on written manuals or short demonstrations, students can hold a mobile device over printed markers in the lab and see 3D equipment, step-by-step instructions, and safety reminders overlaid directly on their physical workspace.
The goal is to make each test more intuitive, repeatable, and accessible for students who may be performing the procedure on their own or outside scheduled demonstration times
OER Promotion, Marketing, and Sustainability by OER Champions
Research on the promotion of newly-published OER resulted in practice recommendations spanning sustainability planning, time management, self-promotion, and institutional support. This resulted in a presentation at the Open Education Conference in the form of a poster: https://digitalcommons.kennesaw.edu/facgreylit/2/ . The team is preparing a manuscript for future publication
Introductory Signals and Systems Ancillary Materials and MATLAB Exercises
This set of ancillary materials was created under an Affordable Materials Grant. Topics covered include continuous-time and discrete-time signals and systems, spectra, fourier transform, sampling, Laplace transform, and z-transform
Storytelling with Visual Media Open Course
This set of ancillary materials supports the delivery of Visual Storytelling with Media as a graduate course taught at the University of West Georgia. The course serves as an elective for students pursuing master\u27s and educational specialist\u27s degrees in Instructional Technology. The course provides foundational knowledge of visual storytelling elements and principles. Furthermore, students learn how to apply the acquired knowledge to become visual storytellers and better designers and developers of media artifacts that support visual storytelling in teaching and learning contexts

The team produced a workbook of open-access assignments—at least one exercise per chapter—featuring guided questions, applied activities, and real‑world examples to support active learning and improve engagement
General Chemistry for Scientists and Engineers II and Advanced General Chemistry II (Honors) Case Studies
This Set of Ancillary Materials for General Chemistry for Scientists and Engineers and Advanced General Chemistry (honors) was created under an Affordable Materials Grant.
Materials include three case studies with instructor keys designed to increase rigor and connect chemistry concepts to real-world applications: Electrolytes (linked to electrolyte drinks), Bomb Calorimetry (linked to biofuel development and environmental concerns), and Precipitation (linked to water remediation, concentration units, and solution stoichiometry). These resources aim to support differentiated instruction for honors and majors courses while remaining adaptable for general chemistry sequences
