Behavior of Saturated Volcanic Soil Slopes with Grass Roots Under Seismic Response
Landslides on mountain slopes triggered by rainfall and earthquakes pose a significant risk to the slopes on Bali Island. This study examines the behavior of saturated volcanic soil reinforced with a combination of elephant grass and vetiver roots under earthquake forces. The methodology includes triaxial testing on vegetated soil and model testing to assess the reduction in landslide-prone areas due to vegetation. Triaxial test results indicated increased soil cohesion and internal friction angle when reinforced with vetiver and elephant grassroots. Cohesion in nonvegetated soil was measured at 0.20 kg/cm2, which increased to 0.65 kg/cm2 with root reinforcement.
Model testing results aligned with consolidated undrained triaxial tests, demonstrating that the combination of vetiver and elephant grass reduced the landslide area by up to 64.1% on 45-degree slopes and up to 52.1% on 60-degree slopes

Works of art are intellectual property creativity expressed in the form of
sculptures on wood which have a philosophy of life and aesthetic values in Indonesia.
Sculptors have a role in preserving cultural arts heritage, however the number of
enthusiasts, especially craftsmen, has decreased, as has consumer buying interest. Reasons
such as fixed turnover and declining interest in art have caused the profession of sculpture
workers to be overlooked, and they have even switched to other jobs. The aim of this
service program is to provide solutions to business problems, by advancing
entrepreneurship education in wood carving arts groups to provide an important pathway
to income and socio-economic benefits. The output target is the use of appropriate
technology in business. Method of implementing community service with a focus on (1)
Entrepreneurship socialization education; (2) Empowering mentoring subjects in the form
of management training (financial literacy, digital marketing in business applications, and
production with appropriate technology, (3) Providing assistance with IT-based production
tools and financial governance, and (4) Post-empowerment assistance. Results This is
marked by the increasing entrepreneurial character of wood carving businesses, increasing
financial accounting skills, production skills with technology, and the presence of
marketing on Instagram social media
SOSIOLINGUISTIK FENOMENA UNGKAPAN TABU DI KOTA DENPASAR
Ungkapan tabu merupakan sebuah bagian dari bahasa yang merupakan produk dari budaya. Setiap bahasa pada suatu daerah pastinya memiliki ungkapan tabu, salah satunya adalah Kota Denpasar. Kota yang merupakan pusat industri ini menjadi daya tarik bagi individu dari berbagai daerah untuk menetap dan bertahan hidup. Dengan fenomena kedatangan para pendatang yang memiliki latar belakang beragam, adanya intensitas multi bahasa, dan kian pesatnya kemajuan teknologi, perlahan-lahan mengubah norma dalam berbahasa, khususnya penggunaan kata tabu. Dengan demikian buku referensi hasil penelitian ini berfokus mengkaji kata tabu dan mengananilis konteks bagaimana sebuah ujaran tersbut menjadi tabu. Ungkapan tabu di Denpasar dapat dibagi menjadi empat kategori, yakni language level of taboo, naming taboo, context-specific taboo words, and general taboo words. In addition to the context, sebuah ujaran menjadi tabu tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh kata, melainkan hasil gabungan performansi dan partisipan dalam proses ekspresinya. Dengan demikian sebuah kata menjadi tabu berkaitan dengan ujaran apa yang digunakan, bagaimana ujaran tersebut digunakan, di mana ujaran tersebut digunakan, siapa yang terlibat, dan apa maksud ujaran tersebut digunakan. ANALISIS REABILITY PENGARUH VEGETASI RUMPUT GAJAH DENGAN METODE ELEMEN HINGGA PADA LERENG TANAH VULKANIK
Desa-desa sekitar Kaldera Gunung Batur terancam mengalami longsor bahan rombakan (Debris Flow) akibat erosi permukaan karena lereng yg tersusun oleh tanah vulkanik dan minim vegetasi. Penerapan Bioengineering banyak menggunakan dengan penanaman rumput, karena lebih efektif mengurasi erosi permukaan dibandingkan dengan pepohonan. Pengujian konsep bioengineering dilakukan di laboratorium dengan kemiringan lereng 45o dengan vegetasi rumput gajah (Pennisetum purpureum) di dalam box pengujian. Analisis reability dengan metode finite element menggunakan software Plaxis 3D versi 2.2. Analisis pada lereng dengan dan tanpa vegetasi, menggunakan metode reliabilitas orde pertama dan pemodelan root as pile approach. Penelitian menunjukkan selisih regangan bidang gelincir tanpa dan dengan vegetasi pada lereng sampai 0,1094 kN/m2. Vegetasi pada lereng membuktikan efektifitas penurunan lereng dengan selisih perpindahan 0,00235 m. Faktor keamanan lereng dipertimbangkan tanpa vegetasi berdasarkan deterministic analysis adalah 0,80. Analisis numerik menunjukkan faktor keamanan dengan vegetasi rumput gajah diperoleh sebesar 0,83. Fase pertama tegangan akibat penambahan vegetasi mendapatkan selisih tegangan 0,01 kN/m2 antara tanpa vegetasi dengan penambahan vegetasi. Selisih tegangan akibat penambahan vegetasi yaitu 5,87 kN/m2 dan mendapatkan selisih waktu lebih panjang 28,16 hari dari pada tanpa vegetasi. Penambahan vegetasi rumput gajah pada lereng mendapatkan hasil memuaskan, karena mampu menaikkan angka aman lereng meskipun kecil
ANALISIS KONSOLIDASI DAN NILAI ANGKA AMAN PADA USAHA STABILISASI TANAH LEMPUNG LUNAK DENGAN PREFABRICATED VERTICAL DRAIN (PVD)
Berdasarkan tinjauan lapangan yang dilakukan pada pembangunan jalan tol ruas Binjai – Brandan, terdapat longsoran yang terjadi sepanjang STA 47+525 s/d STA 47+700. Hal ini terjadi karena tanah dasar (subgrade) ini merupakan tanah lempung lunak yang terlihat dari data borehole BH-2 dengan kadar air yang tinggi sebesar 136.94%, dengan Index Plastis 12.65% dan Nilai Indeks Pemampatan (Cc) sebesar 1.362 dan Indeks Pengembangan (Cs) sebesar 0.157. Peneliti mencoba untuk mencari alternatif metode perbaikan tanah dasarnya. Metode yang dilakukan untuk stabilitasi tanah lunak pada kasus ini yaitu dengan penggunaan Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD). Analisis dilakukan dengan pemodelan numerik aplikasi Plaxis. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) cukup baik dalam meningkatkan daya dukung tanah. Metode Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) memiliki nilai angka aman (safety factor) di akhir masa konstruksi sebesar 1.409 dan masa operasional dengan penambahan beban 15 kPa selama 30 hari, nilai angka aman menjadi sebesar 1.341 dengan masa konsolidasi selama 89 hari

The impact of chitosan at the physical performance of the coffee skin-based edible film
Coffee is one of the most popular commodities in decades. The expansion of coffee plantations and processing indirectly
increases the number of coffee skins. Coffee skin is a problem for the community because it can pollute the environment,
and cause an unpleasant odor and an unsightly view. Processing coffee skins into edible films will help overcome the
problem of coffee skin waste. Chitosan can be added to increase the functional value of coffee peel-based edible films.
Chitosan can form layers, does not affect taste, or aroma, and is safe for consumption. Chitosan also contains a variety of
antimicrobial bioactive compounds and can act as a selectively permeable membrane for CO2 and O2 gas exchange. The
purpose of this observes turned out to be to determine the impact of the quantity of coffee skins and the concentration of
chitosan and on the physical properties of edible films made from coffee skins. The study design used a randomized
block two factors, namely the concentration of chitosan (1.0 and 1.5%) and the number of coffee skins (7, 14, 21, and
28%). Each treatment was repeated three times, to determine the physical properties of the coffee skin edible film,
namely color (ΔE), transparency, film performance, structural density, thickness, and acidity. The results showed that the
number of coffee skins and the concentration of chitosan affected the physical characteristics of edible films made from
coffee skins. A concentration of 1.5% chitosan with 21% coffee skin produced the best edible film
Potential demand and supply of beef cattle in Indonesia
This research is a literature study on the demand and supply of beef in Indonesia. This
study aims to determine the demand and supply and stock of beef in Indonesia. The method used
in this study is qualitative research using field research techniques, namely direct observation of
the object under study in order to obtain relevant data. The data used in this research are primary
data and secondary data. The results of the study concluded that beef cattle are the largest meat
contributor from the ruminant group to national meat production so that this livestock business
has the potential to be developed as a profitable business. The increase in population and public
awareness of consuming highly nutritious protein has made the demand for beef tend to increase
from year to year. However, the fact is that beef production in Indonesia has not been able to
meet public demand or consumption. Various efforts have been made by the government to
maximize and increase beef production, but in reality these efforts have not been successful, so
the government imports to meet domestic needs
