Using theory of approximation to mathematically model the estimation of aloin concentration in Aloe vera L. (Aloe barbadensis Mill.)
Aloin is one of the secondary metabolites that gives Aloe spp. plants their healing properties. The concentration of aloin is related to the fresh mass, and its industrial purification requires laboratory processes that add extra costs to the commercialization. The objective of this work is to mathematically model the estimation of the concentration of aloin in A. vera L., from the fresh mass. The theory of discrete perfect least squares approximations was used, considering the linear and exponential approximation function. For the tabulation of the data, the class mark options, and the average of the values were used. The analysis of the approximations indicates that exponential curves best approximate the data. The use of these approximations is recommended for the estimation of aloin concentration in A. vera based on its fresh mass, facilitating the measurement of this secondary metabolite and minimizing costs in the industrialization process
Analyzing Policy Interventions Using Multivariate Analysis
This research paper investigates the effectiveness of policy intervention stages onmacroeconomic and social indicators using a Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) framework. The study evaluates the Country Policy and Institutional Assessment (CPIA) stages across three intervention phases: Pre-CPIA Improvement, CPIA Reform Implementation, and Post-CPIA Reform Consolidation. The analysis covers 27 countries, assessing changes in economic and social outcomes. While the multivariate tests show no significant overall differences across stages, univariate analyses highlight notable variations in specific countries, suggesting that targeted interventions during critical phases yield measurable improvements

Green Synthesis of and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing of (2Z)-2-[(4-fluorophenyl)methylidene]-1-benzofuran-3-one
Antimicrobial resistance is a global health challenge, rendering once-effective antibiotics less potent or entirely ineffective. In response, there is increasing interest in developing antimicrobial agents through environmentally sustainable methods. In this study, a fluorinated aurone derivative, (2Z)-2-[(4-fluorophenyl)methylidene]-1-benzofuran-3-one, was synthesized using a green Knoevenagel condensation approach. Eco-friendly catalysts were employed to minimize environmental impact and avoid hazardous byproducts. Product formation was confirmed to avoid wasting resources. The compound was evaluated for antimicrobial properties using a Kirby-Bauer plate, but did not demonstrate consistent or significant antimicrobial activity, therefore lacking promise as a standalone antibiotic
