The role of Nigeria in the ecowas and its support towards the common proposed currency eco
Nigeria is the arrowhead of the Economic Community of West African State (ECOWAS), which was emerged in
Lagos on May 28, 1975, as a regional institution consisting of fifteen nations. The establishment's essence is to
integrate the region into the single economic bloc and to ensure sole currency existence, which has been on the
agenda of the head of the state meetings. The study adopted Qualitative approach and used document or library
sources as well as employed regional integration theory in order to elaborate on the big-brother and sub-regional
leader role of Nigeria in the region. The study found that loyalty to colonialism and the francophone country's
long-existing monetary cooperation towards France was the strong blockade of the proposal of the single currency
as well as ECOWAS member nations were unable to reach-up to the set of convergence, which resulted in the shift
and delays on the establishment of the common currency date. It was also discovered that in the efforts to embark
on the process, two fast track approaches were being agreed upon towards the realization of the common currency.
The first track meeting was held in Accra, Ghana, in April 2000, proposing that the West African Economic and
Monetary Union (WAEMU) were to create a second Monetary Union by July 2005 termed the West African
Monetary Zone (WAMZ), mainly comprising of Anglophone countries. The second track was stressing on the
consequent merging of the WAMZ and WAEMU to form a common currency union in the region. The study went
further to provide some suggestions toward the implementation of the common currency in the region
Community concerns of river pollution in Terengganu, Malaysia
Purpose of the study: This study aims to identify the determinants of the behavior of people living in polluted rivers in
Terengganu.
Methodology: This study was conducted in a quantitative approach using a survey method for data collection. A total of 373
respondents were selected by cluster sampling. The study site was held at ten rivers that were considered polluted in
Terengganu. Instruments used to collect the data were questionnaire form and analyzed with software, namely IBM
Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS).
Main Findings: The findings show that knowledge and exposure to environmental messages through the media is a
dominant factor influencing respondents’ behavior on river conservation.
Applications of this study: The study is expected to raise awareness and change people’s behavior in addressing issues of
environmental degradation, especially for sustainable, healthy rivers, and better quality of life. This is because the river is
clean, healthy, and of good quality to ensure the well-being of the community.
Novelty/Originality of this study: Studies on factors that determine environmental behavior by researchers have often
focused on studies of personal variables (e.g., knowledge, attitudes, values, beliefs) and thus ignore the direct role of
situational variables as they are emphasized. Therefore, a comprehensive study should be conducted to build or change
human behavior towards the environment

The establishment of shelter care services: an overview of shelter care in Malaysia
All of the Shelter Care institution had strict rules and regulations, especially about the status of registration.
Unregistered Shelter Care with government or private sector will bring problems to the institution especially
on financial contributions and safety regulation. Objectives: In view of this fact, study of Shelter Care
services has been conducted to identify the most dominant factors that applied by institution. Methods:
This study involved 39 institutions and the parameters of study are a registration, entry status, care services,
nutrition and accommodation. Results: The findings indicated that the Shelter Care involved was fulfilling
the standard of Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) and Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS).
The data was analysed by factor analysis using XL STAT software. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and
Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were computed to identify the most dominant factors whereas reducing
the initial five parameters with recommended >0.70 of factor loading. Conclusion: From this study, the
result show that all institution is according to the set of procedures that needed
Exploratory factor analysis of safety management commitment and safety administration in the context construction industries
Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was carried out to develop appropriate questionnaire items as research
instruments. This study has developed and certified the instruments of safety management commitment and
safety administration through the EFA study. It is applied in the context of occupational safety and health
management (OSH) of construction industry. This study was divided into two constructs namely Safety
Management Commitment (SMC) and Safety Administration (SA) to measure safety attitude. Safety
administration construct was measured by safety programs and safety monitoring. Whereas, safety
management commitment construct was measured by safety planning and safety management. This study
was conducted to evaluate the contractor’s safety management attitude to the safety culture at the
construction site. About 100 respondents were selected through simple random sampling to fill out the
survey. Based on the reliability test, this study has set an instrument consist of eight items to develop two
components for the construct of safety management commitment. While, for the construct of safety
administration consist of six items for two components. This setting is based on the internal reliability value
(Alpha Cronbach) for measurement of the instrument. The procedure is described in detail to carry out an
EFA analysis to develop the instrument’s construct of SMC and SA. For the future, researchers can develop
a study by applying instruments thoroughly in various fields of research
Impact of environmental awareness level to water quality status in Kenyir Lake, Malaysia
Environmental awareness is very important to ensure the water quality status and
ecosystem sustainability in a river basin. The purposes of the study are to determine the
extent of knowledge and education level are closely related to the environmental awareness
level among local communities and its effect on the water quality status. The quantitative
method has been used through questionnaire. The respondents were selected based on Krejcie
and Morgan sample size method. This study was analysed the data using Discriminant
Analysis, Hypothesis Testing (two sample t-test and z-test) and Descriptive Analysis to find
the mean value and p-value. Based on the result, the various factors of pollution not only
focus on local communities but also involve outsiders such as tourists and anthropogenic
factors such as logging, deforestation and waste disposal. All 10 questions were analysed and
found the p-value >0.05.These results show no significant difference between the Male and
Female respondents of the level of awareness in Kenyir Lake communities about water
quality status. The water quality status recorded as Class I and II according to National Water
Quality Standards. The Kenyir Lake's water resources do not require treatment and are
categorized as safe for both humans and animals

of terrorism are heavily used in both mass media news coverage in which the terms ‘Islamic Extremism’ and ‘Islamic
Radical’ control the whole coverage of the terrorist attack. The term ‘Al-Shabaab’ records the highest percentage of about
28% of the whole use of terms; There is a significant tendency to use terrorism terminologies associated with Islam in the
coverage of the western newspapers and other mass media (Guardians and The BBC)
mahupun kontemporari menyentuh berkaitan darah wanita.
The influence of compassion in Charles Dickens’ selected novels
The novel shall include different personalities to have a compelling story knot, which shall
tighten the reader to read the story and even get touched with it. In Charles Dickens’ novels particularly,
which usually resembles agony, poverty, and suffering, a compassion side of the society of the novel shall
be presented in contrast to suffering. This paper is presenting three common novels by Dickens, A Tale of
Two Cities, Oliver Twist and David Copperfield. It deals with the comparison between the personalities
which are showing compassion in the novels and the sequential order of the events which are driven by
psychology compassion in these three novels. The novel A Tale of Two Cities actions are going in France,
during the French revolution, while David Copperfield and Oliver Twist are starting in England. David
Copperfield was said to be the autobiography of the novelist Dickens himself, and the compassion is shown
in multiple personalities, specifically his aunt, his first love Dora, and her second love Agnes. Whereas
compassion, in Oliver Twist, offered by the personalities is starting from the doctor in the orphanage
sponsored by the Diocese where her mother has started the story before she is giving birth to Oliver and
die. Compassion is shown in different characters even in some criminals. However, the novel A Tale of Two
Cities has clearly the main characters like Draney and Lucie who will finally live a happy life due to the
compassion of several characters mainly Cartoon. To sum up, compassion is one of the important novel’s
parts, even in some evil or changing characters. Its psychology is complex to study along with its impact on
novel actions
