    No full text
The correlation between psycho-maturity towards the performance of sepak takraw players is evaluated in this chapter. The Louvain clustering algorithm is used to categorise the players to high, medium and low psycho-matured players based on seven fundamental psychological measures, viz. maturity status, selftalk, activation, imagery, emotion control, automaticity and goal setting. Different random forest classifiers were developed to classify the players based on the aforesaid psychological measures. It was shown that the optimised model could provide reasonable discrimination between the players with a classification accuracy of 82.61% on the test dataset, suggesting the significance of the psychological indicators towards the performance of the players. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020

    No full text
During the past decade, many Jordanian universities have obtained quality accreditation, whereas other universities have failed. Some scientific studies have been conducted on that. Therefore, the current study aims to identify the degree of application of comprehensive quality management standards in Jordanian private universities. The study, through previous studies, also aims to identify the most important obstacles. The objectives of the study are achieved through the descriptive analytical approach on previous studies, the number of which reached (7) studies in the period from (2004 to 2018) The results show that the degree of application of comprehensive quality in Jordanian private universities ranges from medium to high, while some studies indicated that the degree of application was great in some areas and average in others. It was also found that there are obstacles related to top management in private universities, such as weak focus on continuous performance improvement, low desire of the university to apply comprehensive quality standards, and financial obstacles that deter the application of comprehensive quality management. It was also found that the most important problems facing the application of quality standards in private universities are: job instability for the faculty members, the incompatibility of the number of faculty members with the number of students, and the profitability orientation for private universities. Considering the results, the researchers recommend that officials in private Jordanian universities should be informed of the results of previous studies and the degree of application of those universities for the principles of comprehensive quality to take decisions that contribute to work on the application and follow-up of these principles. University officials also should work to vary funding sources and conduct a study on the impact of obstacles in applying comprehensive quality on the indicators of improving performance in Jordanian private universities

But, the problem lies in the confusion that may occur when the definition of permissibility (ibahah), option (takhyir) and halal; one of the objectives of the study was to show the difference between permissibility (ibahah), option (takhyir) and halal, with exposure to their evidence and various sections, and discuss the relationship between them and find out the differences and similarities. In this study, the researcher followed the inductive approach to extrapolate everything related to permissibility (ibahah), option (takhyir) and halal, as well as the comparative approach to compare them, the study was also based on the analytical approach to discuss the subject seriously and professionally, and highlight the evidence and the statements of former and contemporary scholars on permissibility (ibahah), option (takhyir) and halal to show similarities and differences. The study concluded that the option (takhyir) is more general than permissibility (ibahah) based on the definitions derived from them. All permissibility (ibahah) facultative in it, and the term halal is more general than permissibility (ibahah). All permissible foods are considered halal (lawful). But, not all lawful (halal) foods are considered permissible. Therefore, the relationship between permissibility (ibahah), option (takhyir) and halal indicates the general and special relationships. Permissibility is one of the mandatory provisions relating to the acts charged. But, the option (takhyir) is about the mandatory provisions. Thus, the option (takhyir) is a situation, in which those provisions are optional things
