Analyzing Islamic Embedded Options In Structured Product In The Light Of Maqasid Al-Shariah
Islamic structured products are basically Shariah compliant structured product which applies the similar to its counterpart, conventional ones in terms of purpose, economic benefits and basic structural features. The difference is that Islamic structured products adheres to Shariah principles, avoiding riba (usury), gharar (uncertainty), zulm (injustices), and operates holistically in a Shariah compliant manner. This includes utilizing Shariah contracts approved by the SAC to structure the investment, and contains underlying assets that are permissible in Shariah. Hence the main aim of this work is to intricately elaborate the Shariah framework applied to develop the structured product in the light of Maqasid al-Shariah and discussed the current scenarios of the product implementation in Malaysia. It is found that, most of the Islamic structured products are embraced by the concept of ‘Urbun and Wa’ad to serve as Shariah compliant structured product. Although there are some issues to be considered by Shariah scholars in order to enhance the existing framework of the product

The study on job satisfaction among academic staff at Public Universities in Terengganu is aimed at identifying the level and factors
towards their job satisfaction while serving at public universities. This study involved 298 respondents voluntarily. The
characteristics of the collected respondents' demographic variables are divided into 9 sections consisting of gender, age, level of
education, position of status, service period, position, and other positions within the department. The involved respondents are based
on the different levels of academic staff ranging from Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and
Professor. Among these respondents were those holding various administrative posts such as Central Director, Dean, Deputy Dean
and Head of Department or Head of School. All of the demographic information of these respondents are collected through a survey
distributed to them. The results of this finding have been analysed in the form of tables based on the number and percentage of
respondents
Innovation and Skills Workers of Mechanical Engineer to Design Smart Flush
Smart Flush is an innovative product in mechanical engineering. All the skilled workers need to improve the quality of product that
would be manufacture. The three objectives of this study are as follows: (i) to design automatic water level control based on electrical
conductivity of the water; (ii) to improve the supply of water into the water tank as well as avoiding any accessing water; and (iii) to
provide easy installation and maintenance. 5W + 1H concept are used to solve the problem. The existing water level for toilet flushing
system employs mechanical method, which is commonly expose to mechanical failure. This research introduces the notion of water level
controlling within the context of electrical conductivity of the water. System design integrates the electrical and electronic based water
level sensing and couple with solenoids shut off valve in a wired environment. The system equipment is lower power consumption,
equipment only work when the water level changes, usually is in a waiting state. Smart Flush approach would help in reducing water
overflow and low water pressure in the piping system. Maintaining water level inside the toilet pump system is an essential aspect in
order to avoid waste of water due to overflow
THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE SUN DURING THE EXPLOSION OF CORONAL MASS EJECTIONS (CMES) ON 2ND MAY 2016
Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been studied has become the most important phenomena of solar activity because it is the most energetic phenomena on the Sun. Concerning the importance of the impact of solar radio burst, we study the selected event of CMEs to observe the environment of the atmosphere of the Sun. It was found that the geomagnetic field was at active to severe storm conditions due to continued activity from the active region. The sunspot number is 76 and radio flux exceeds 92 sfu. There are eight sunspots and with a density of 2.9 proton/ cm 3 . During that event, solar wind also reached up to 540.6 kmsec -1 . It is recommended to collect data for 5 years and above in order to observe the trend of the graph between SRBT II and the speed of CME
THE ASSESSMENT OF PHYSICO-CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL WATER QUALITY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IBAI RIVER BETWEEN WET AND DRY SEASONS, KUALA TERENGGANU, MALAYSIA
The environmental study was carried to evaluate the condition of Ibai River, Kuala Terengganu,
at East Coast of Peninsular. The objectives of this study are to determine physico-chemical,
biological of water quality and classify them and to determine the spatial-temporal relationship
based on one way ANOVA, regression and correlation analysis. 3 sampling stations were selected
in this study to represent the water quality condition of the river. The 2005 to 2010 data of eleven
water quality parameters: TSS, BOD, AN, COD, DO, TEMP, EC, SAL, TUR, NO3 and pH were
analyzed. Under the statistical approach, all the calculations were done at 5% level of significant.
The results show that most of stations were classified as slightly polluted (Class II) during dry
season. During wet season, almost all stations were classified as moderate polluted (Class III)
even at station 2 in 2009 were classified as polluted (Class V) due to very low WQI (24%)

Integrating farmers' rights to equitable benefit sharing into the malaysian plant variety law: Learning from others
The Farmers’ Rights concept is part of an international treaty of which Malaysia is
one of the signatory parties. The International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for
Food and Agriculture (FAO Treaty 2004), articulated four core rights under the
Farmers’ Rights concept – namely the right to traditional farming knowledge, the
right to seed, the right to equitable benefit sharing and the right to participate in
decision making process. Article 9.2 (b) of FAO Treaty 2004 stipulates that farmers
should be given equal opportunity to equitably participate in sharing benefits from the
use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture. The right to equitable benefit
sharing legally justifies among others, the rights of small holder farmers who have
been breeding seeds for generations to receive benefits; either monetary or nonmonetary from any commercialization of the seeds that have been developed by them.
Non-monetary benefits include access to seeds for their farm. This paper investigates
to what extent the existing legal provisions of plant variety law in Malaysia has
integrated this right to equitable benefit sharing to small farmers as compared to
similar legislations in India and under African Union (AU Model Law for the
Protection of the Rights of Local Communities, Farmers and Breeders, and for the
Regulation of Access to Biological Resources). These two legal framework aimed to
protect their small farming communities are cited as legislations with the best
practices on implementing Farmers’ Rights core rights. The aim is for Malaysia to
learn from these countries in order to ensure legal protection for small farmers’ right
to equitable benefit sharing of their plant genetic resources
Automated detection of nitrogen status on plants: Performance of image processing techniques
The significant role of nitrogen element in plants growth resulting in increased usage of nitrogen fertilizer in the
agriculture field. With the aim to avoid improper use of nitrogen fertilization on plants and to assist local farmers in
improving plants monitoring, this paper presents an economical and non-destructive method in determining
nitrogen status of Napier grass using digital image processing approach. Three authentic techniques of image
segmentation Otsu, K-means clustering, and watershed transformation were applied and compared to recognize the
most accurate method for segmenting leaf pixel from its background. Otsu was discovered as the most efficient
technique with less time-processing. Out of 36 features extracted from the segmented image, kurtosis, skewness and
standard deviation of the blue color image were the most related features in classifying nitrogen status of the images.
Classifiers like KNN, decision tree, and linear discriminant were used to classify the leaves image and nitrogen status
accordingly. The accuracy of 100% was recorded in classifying the leaves image using decision tree and KNN classifier
