Successful outcomes of dengeu fever in various trimesters during pregnancy
Dengue fever is the most common viral infection transmitted worldwide. Currently, the incidence of dengue infection has been increasing among adults including pregnant women. Case reports of dengue fever in pregnancy dramatically increased in Malaysia recently and most of the report cases are from urban area and working and schooling groups are mostly affected. We reported here three interesting cases of dengue fever in pregnancy at different trimesters who had successful maternal and fetal outcomes. We reported the case series of dengue fever in pregnancy at different gestational age. First two cases were occurred at early gestation age (first and second trimester) and successfully treated with supported treatment. However, third case was occurred in third trimester and complicated with compensated shock and superimpose atypical pneumonia. All patients had successful recovery without maternal and fetal complications. From our case series, we found that severity of dengue fever in pregnancy is increased with advanced gestation. More cases of dengue infection in pregnancy can be found because of the increasing incidence of dengue infection among adults. The infection should be suspected when a pregnant woman presents with the similar pattern of symptoms and signs like in a non-pregnant case. Conservative treatment should be given unless there are complications. Successful favourable pergnancy outcome can be achieved with early recognition with correct diagnosis and timely intervention with high index of suspecsion in dengue endemic region
Bacteriophages as Biocontrol Agent in Food Safety
Food contamination with pathogens has been continual and significant problem worldwide. These pathogens causes foodborne diseases that lead to deleterious effect to the health of consumer and the financial losses to food manufacturer. The emergence of foodborne path-ogen is further complicated with the infection from multiple antibiotic resistance food pathogens and the formation of biofilm on food processing equipment as well as utensils that cause the process of decontamination become more challenging. Bacteriophage is recog-nized for its effectiveness as biocontrol against food pathogen and relatively harmless to man. Bacteriophage can be applied at any point of the food chain such as phage therapy of livestock, biosanitizer (disinfectant) in the food processing environment, and biocontrol (addi-tives) of food products. Bacteriophage is an obligate parasite of bacterial and due to its host specificity and binding capability, bacterio-phage appear as a more advantageous decontamination agent compared to other chemical intervention which might introduce chemical hazard. Various studies have shown the effectiveness of bacteriophage in combating food-borne pathogens and insignificant risk of de-velopment bacteriophage resistant bacteria. However the efficacy of the bacteriophages varies depending on the source of isolation, the type of food, surface materials and food matrixes. Thus, it is noteworthy to get the insight of current microbiological hazard in food and the potential use of bacteriophages as biocontrol agent
Analyzing The Reading Questions Of AP12 Textbook According To Bloom’s Taxonomy
This study aimed to analyse the lower and higher order thinking skills of reading comprehension questions in the Action Pack 12 English Language textbook for grade twelve students in Jordan. Also, it used the content analysis in collecting, analysing, and classifying reading questions according to Bloom’s Taxonomy of the Cognitive Domain. The researcher calculated the percentage and frequencies in each unit of the textbook. The findings showed that the reading comprehension questions covered all of Bloom’s Taxonomy cognitive levels (knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation). The results showed that 79 questions focused on lower thinking processes (knowledge, comprehension, and application) while 35 questions looked at the higher level of thinking processes (analysis, synthesis, and evaluation). Findings from this research recommended that the textbook authors should further develop the content of the textbook and maintain a balance between the lower-order questions and the higher-order ones where multilevel questions should be used and included at the end of each reading passages
Gender Differences in Body Mass Index, Underweight, Overweight and Obesity among University Students.
Health is a major public issue where body mass index is
a particularly important aspect in youth for a developing state
like Terengganu, Malaysia. The body mass index or BMI can be
used as an indicator for the health status of a population. The
aim of the research is to identify the average BMI among
university students in Terengganu by gender. Data are collected
by 523 of respondents from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin
Students’ (UniSZA) consisting of 117 males and 406 females
from July to August 2018 using questionnaires. The data is
analyzed separately in this study among male and female
respondents in the university. The results show that 12% of
female respondents have been suffering from chronic energy
deficiency, underweight range, or under nutrition and
considered as a common phenomenon in Terengganu especially
for the female population
Model
pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) diperkenalkan agar guru mata pelajaran
Aplikasi perisian Statistical Package for the
Uslub Al-Hakim Sebagai Satu Elemen Ketinggian Bahasa Al-Quran Dan Petunjuk Ibrah Quraniyyah Dalam Komunikasi

This research examines the effects of population growth on the economic development between the two developed and developing countries
which is Singapore and Malaysia. They were many previous studies that have sought to gauge the effects or impact of population
growth along the economic development. It was said that there was a strong relationship between the effects of population growth and
the economic development, which is the growth of population is depending on the economic growth. Singapore was well known worldwide
as a highly developed free-market economy. The economy of Singapore has been ranked as the most open in the world and the
most-pro business. The population in the country is estimated at 5.5 million recently. As for Malaysia, it is known as the most competitive
developing countries and is ranked on the 5th largest in South Asia. The population estimated at 31.63 million in Malaysia
Consumer Awareness Towards Rainwater Harvesting System in Selangor, Malaysia
Reusing water and implementing rainwater-harvesting system are an effective way to reduce the usage of treated water at home. A study
on consumer’s awareness towards Rainwater Harvesting System (RWHS) in urban areas of Malaysia is less explored among researchers.
This study was to identify the level of consumer’s awareness on RWHS among domestic water users in Gombak District, Selangor.
Quantitative approaches were applied through individual distribution of structured questionnaires to 397 domestic water users in the
study area from December 2016 to February 2017. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 21. Based on the results of quantitative
analysis, four major constructs emerged namely ‘the advantages of RWHS’, ‘alternative water sources’, ‘consumers’ concern’ and ‘consumers’
willingness’. The total mean scores (total average score) for each construct in ascending order are 3.48 for consumers' readiness,
3.81 for advantages of RWHS, 3.98 for alternative source, and 4.09 for consumers' concern. The findings provide important contribution
to water conservation practices in the country as RWHS is considered greener, more efficient, more self-reliant with sound technology
Food Choice Determinants of Island Tourists: an Implication Towards Sustainable Island Tourism
This study aims to investigate factors that influence food choice of international tourists at small island settings. In this study, Perhentian
Island was selected as a representative of small islands as the island received the largest number of international tourists, particularly in
the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. A close-ended questionnaire survey was conducted at various tourism spots in Perhentian Island
and a total of 173 international tourists were interviewed in this study. Descriptive analysis was applied to summarize the tourists profile
and travel pattern. Satisfaction gap analysis generated important factors that influence food choice among island visitors. As the majority
of the international tourists to island destinations in Malaysia were on a multi-destination vacation, the results of the study could be crucial
to the real needs and expectations of island tourists in Malaysia. Finally, effective development and marketing strategies could be
devised to enhance the growth of food tourism, targeting remote island destinations in Malaysia
