Oral Storying: A Light for The Future of Writing
What are the types of communication? Communication is made up of 2 branches: verbal and non-verbal. Verbal consists of oral and written words. Non-verbal is any communication without spoken words and written language: signs, codes, body language, etc. (Communication Theory, 2014). Writing is an essential skill that we use throughout our daily lives: signing our name, filling out paperwork, taking notes, and in our careers. Without writing a person’s quality of life could be hindered dramatically. A statistic that illustrates this point is that “80% of employers state writing as an essential skill that is required in the field” (National Association of Colleges & Employers, 2019). Unfortunately, the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NAEP) shows that when it comes to writing skills, only about 27% of students’ grades four through twelve measures at the proficiency level (NCES, 2007). Experts refer to the early childhood stage as the sensitive phase; this is where the brain’s plasticity is at its pinnacle. As educators, it is crucial that we capitalize on this sensitive phase by ensuring children are developing properly. One way we could do this is teaching kindergartners communication, specifically in writing. An effective technique is using oral narrative instruction to improve kindergarten writing. First, it develops text generation. Second, it enhances writing abilities. Third, it improves the teacher’s writing instruction. After these three points are examined the practicality of this strategy will be revealed. Technique one: teach using retelling, then generalize to personal and fictional generations. Historical Perspective on GA Collective Bargaining
KS enables a collaboration and communication within a higher educational institution between faculty, staff, and students. With the support of KM processes and IT advances, KS contributes to organizational performance in higher educational institutions. Empirical studies have primarily focused on KS of private organizations from a wide range of business sectors. The research problem that is addresses the barriers to IT supporting KS of administrators at higher education institution. Therefore, there are very few studies that focus on KS in public higher education institutions (Vu & Yazdani, 2021). Previous studies have focused on KS of faculty and academic staff, neglecting administrator’s KS in institutions (Syed et al., 2021). Administrators are considered those whose positions are not contingent upon being a faculty member. It is imperative to examine the mechanisms that support KS of higher education institutions’ administrators. This class of employees are responsible for conducting business on behalf of the institution. They are involved in aspects of the university that is outside of academia which can include financial services, procurement, public safety, information technology, and budget and business planning
Role of NOD2 Receptor in Immune Response to Staphylococcus Aureus
Staphylococcus aureus, a gram-positive, commensal bacterium, causes several opportunistic diseases and infections in humans. Furthermore, some strains of S.aureus have developed resistance to antibiotics such as methicillin and pose a health risk. Pattern Recognition Receptors (PRRs) on host immune cells recognize specific components of S.aureus cell wall and mount an immune response against the bacteria. One such PRR is the Nuclear Oligomerization Domain 2 (NOD2) receptor which is present in the cytosol of host immune cells. NOD2 recognizes Muramyl-Dipeptide (MDP), a component of the peptidoglycan cell wall of several bacteria including S. aureus. The binding of MDP to NOD2 allows the activation of host immune response by secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and antimicrobial compounds. The exact mechanism of binding of bacterial components to the NOD2 receptor is unknown. This study aims to utilize a S.aureus mutant library to screen for bacterial mutants that either fail to bind to NOD2 or show higher binding to NOD2 when compared to wild type bacteria. Commercially available Human Embryonic Kidney cells transfected with a mouse NOD2 gene (HEK-BLUE mNOD2) will be treated with wild type or mutant bacterial components from the S.aureus mutant library. Binding of bacterial components to NOD2 will be detected using a colorimetric assay and quantified by absorbance at 650nm. This screen will enable us to determine the bacterial components that are essential to NOD2 binding and may also shed light on ways by which S.aureus evades host immune responses
Parental Involvement in Urban Schools
Parental involvement continues to decline in urban schools, and their engagement is critical to closing growing educational gaps. As a result, this research aims to explore the perceptions of elementary school principals and teachers and parents\u27 experiences relating to promoting parental involvement. The researcher examined existing research to explore this topic and utilized Epstein\u27s Theory of Overlapping Spheres of Influence, commonly used to study family involvement within schools. Research suggests that the participation of parents is at the core of student academic success, and the lack thereof is a consequence of the disconnection of the spheres of influence, which are referred to as family, school, and community. Research further reveals that parents and educators have different definitions that lead to bias and false expectations of parents.

An Exploratory Study on Methods for Interpolating and Extrapolating Baseball Win-Loss Percentage
The 2020 Major League Baseball season was shortened by a few months due to travel restrictions implemented in response to Coronavirus pandemic. When baseball began in mid-July, the schedule had been changed so that teams were mostly playing against division opponents. This left some fans wondering how different the 2020 season would have looked if the original schedule of 162 games were played. A website called Strat-O-Matic used the Monte Carlo method to simulate a full 2020 season. This paper proposes and explores other possible models for predicting the outcome of the season. The first model we present is a Fourier series model that fits the teams’ win-loss percentage (W-L%). We hypothesize that a team’s W-L% can be modeled by a sum of cosine and sine curves as every team has winning seasons and losing seasons. The second model we suggest is a cubic spline model, which connects two adjacent W-L% data points with a cubic function. The last model we examine is a seasonal Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) model that was generated following the Box-Jenkins method. With W-L% data from 1998 to 2021, we produce Fourier series, cubic spline, and SARIMA models for each team with the help of Python. The Fourier series and cubic spline model were employed to predict the 2020 W-L%. We analyzed the goodness of fit of the models by computing the sum of the absolute residuals, the sum of the absolute residuals squared, and the maximum absolute residual. Furthermore, we compared these two models to Strat-O-Matic’s model. The purpose of the SARIMA model was to forecast the 2022 monthly W-L%. We evaluated this model by calculating the mean absolute error, root mean square error, and mean absolute percentage error. We concluded that using a Fourier series and cubic spline model to predict a team’s 2020 W-L% and using a SARIMA model to forecast 2022 monthly W-L% is appropriate and satisfactory

Fund Raiser is a Java-based web application to get funds for events, floods, opening new offices, constructing school buildings, etc. There are different websites available in the market to perform this operation. Our Fund Raiser website can accept donations from other countries. A centralized database is maintained to store all the operations. A separate user interface is developed for the admin, donor, and user. Every actor must register with the system. After successful login, only they can perform various operations
