Julie Williams Interview, February 25, 2025

    No full text
Julie Williams discusses growing up in rural Livingston, Montana, as a queer person and how the lack of support has impacted her adult life. Williams describes how such experiences led to her moving away for college to explore different communities, which ultimately helped her accept her own identity as a bisexual woman. Julie’s current relationship with a man has been influenced by her experiences as a woman in the current political atmosphere as well as her parental decisions regarding her daughter. Williams describes residing in Livingston, as well as California and New Mexico. Williams shares the current atmosphere in Montana, and her fight for LGBTQ+ rights within her own town but also describes her considerations about leaving the state as the best potential way to raise her daughter.https://scholarworks.umt.edu/queermontana_oralhistories/1006/thumbnail.jp

    Chapter 4: Mom\u27s Magic Pitcher

    No full text
Mom’s Magic Pitcher is especially fun to do with younger audiences. Children are particularly enchanted with the dramatic color changes that occur when apple juice turns to grape juice and vice versa. It can be coupled to a backstory that talks about how difficult it is to take turns. At a more advanced level, Mom’s Magic Pitcher is a fun way to demonstrate Le Chatelier’s Principle, metal ion complexation, and the exothermic nature of diluting concentrated sulfuric acid.https://scholarworks.umt.edu/gwizchemistrymagic/1005/thumbnail.jp
