The Relationship between Self-Efficacy and Physical Activity and Academic Performance Amongst College Students
No full textCollege students are faced with an immense amount of pressure coming from a variety of areas in their lives. The pressure experienced shows impact on college student’s academic performance, usually in a negative manner. There are multiple factors that play into the pressure experienced. There are also multiple methods to reduce the pressure experienced. One may wonder about the relationship between how strong of self-efficacy a person has, described as how effective one feels they are in performing tasks, and measured academic performance. This study focuses on the relationship between an individual’s level of self-efficacy, amount of physical activity accomplished weekly, with a measured academic performance. This relationship is important as an individual’s self-efficacy levels, and amount of physical exercise performed, could predict an individual’s academic performance. Therefore, it is important to study this to note whether self-efficacy and physical activity levels contribute positively or negatively towards academic performance. It is noted in research that there are methods, such as physical activity, to help reduce the stressors of the environment in order to maintain a positive self-efficacy

No full textThe purpose of the study is to identify if there are potential differences in friendship preferences as it relates to one\u27s race or ethnicity. The study specifically focuses upon college students and explore\u27s the role of their percieved campus diversity and engagement within same-race friendships, cross-race friendships, or both. This study will inform future research by revealing fundamental issues surrounding race-relations within college and/or university settings
