Titled Viscusrse. the showcase of paintings and drawings will open on Thursday, January 25, at 6 p.m. in the John C. Williams Art Gallery in Brock Hall on campus. Montgomery earned his bachelor\u27s degree in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia and his Master of Fine Arts at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Winner of Best in Show at the Association for Visual Arts\u27 Juried Members Exhibition, Montgomery currently teaches art at Baylor School in Chattanooga and exhibits across the Southeast and in Soho, New York. Hailing from Des Moines, lowa, and growing up in Southern California, Keefe has lived and worked all over the country, from rural Appalachian Kentucky and West Virginia to Miami, Florida; Los Angeles, California; and New York City. He received his bachelor\u27s degree from the University of Kentucky and earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Florida. The nationally exhibited and published artist joined the teaching faculty at Southern in 2015. This exhibit is free and open to the public through February 23. Gamification Tools for Libraries
No full textDuring the digital age we are progressing through, finding ways to adapt library services and functions to the current technological demands and trends is necessary. Gamification has arisen as a popular tool to engage students in library instruction, catching their attention and providing added interest. Bethany Howard and Mica Myers provided an overview of the various platforms and software available for library gamification for students. In addition, Bethany Howard discussed her personal experience utilizing gamification at McKee Library for college composition and public speaking research instruction, while Mica Myers discussed her usage of these tools in library student worker training and the classroom. The tools explored in this presentation included Kahoot, Nearpod, Pear Deck, Quizlet, Google Classroom, and in-person gamification

The primary ethnic groups in Bolivia consist of indigenous groups (like the Aymara, Quechua, and Guaraní), Mestizos (or those of mixed ethnicity), and those of Spanish-European descent, and 36 indigenous languages are named as official Bolivian languages along with Spanish. Bolivia is known for its wildlife and expansive salt flats.

Open Zero-Watermarking Approach to Prevent the Unauthorized Use of Images in Deep Learning
No full textThe recent emergence of generative AI has led to a surge of new technologies that have had massive repercussions on society. In particular, AI image generators have created some major issues, such as deepfake images and image theft. Specifically with image theft, there lies the issue of getting permission to use images in a deep learning model. Therefore, we propose a threefold contribution. First, we offer a tool to provide image owners with the capabilities to mark their images with a specific watermark that states that they do not wish their images to be used for training imaging models. To this end, we propose two different simple watermark algorithms. The second contribution is a deep learning model to identify the existence of a watermark in an image. The accuracy result was 97.3% for the classification of images marked with the rolling average watermark algorithm. However, the ring circle algorithm was overfitted. Our third contribution is an open solution that can be replicated or extended by practitioners
