Are We Wrong: The Symbolic Identity of the Goat for Azazel (the Scapegoat)
Get PDFThis paper argues that a distinction needs to be made between the goat and the scapegoat (Azazel), and thus the goat’s symbolic identity should also be separate from Azazel. Seventh-Day Adventists and evangelical Christians hold two different views regarding the antitypical identity of the goat for Azazel within Leviticus 16’s account of the Day of Atonement. Adventists focus on the features of Azael to conclude that the scapegoat is Satan. Evangelicals commonly argue that the goat is characteristic of Jesus. Each of them has problematically taught these while merging the goat and scapegoat. However, separating the goat and Azazel resolves this debate and both theories can operate together. While a minor shift in understanding the heavenly Day of Atonement is required, the Adventist interpretation of the sanctuary process should be maintained

Using AutoML to Analyze the Effect of Attendance and Seat Location on University Student Grades
No full textA common claim is that class attendance and sitting at the front of a classroom may improve student grades. This study employs Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) to analyze this claim. The data used in this study came from an attendance-tracking system from a private university in Tennessee, USA. The correlation analysis in Microsoft Azure’s Machine Learning workspace was performed by training regression models. No correlation was found between student attendance and seat choice and final course grades. The K-means clustering algorithm was used to train clustering models in Microsoft Azure. At k = 2 clusters, a cluster with perfect attendance shows a higher average grade than a cluster with a late attendance average. Seat choice within the classroom does not prove important to the clustering models

Notably, the majority of reported assault events involve Police Forces and Government actors, exceeding those attributed to Criminal actors. Particularly concerning are the high incidences of sexual assault and torture, predominantly associated with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
