Mothers Among the Stars: Unveiling the Complexities of Princess Rosalina’s Maternal Role and Her Place in the Maternal Archetype
The assignment was to write a 6-8 page research paper that incorporates ideas of family in some way. I decided to write about Princess Rosalina from the Super Mario Franchise because of the maternal role she plays in the series. To create this paper, I synthesized information from multiple sources on family psychology and various Nintendo games to validate my argument. The Super Mario franchise (and the gaming industry at large) has a history of representing female characters through overexaggerated and harmful depictions, such as hyper sexualization and extreme helplessness. My desire to write about this topic increased when I noticed there were no articles or related media about this topic in the University of Dayton\u27s library. Throughout the writing process, I worked closely with my professor to create a paper that I am proud of and has the potential be published
Executive Compensation in a New Era: Pouring Old Wine Into New Bottles?
The Author’s interest in executive compensation was sparked by the Delaware Court of Chancery’s decision to rescind the largest executive compensation package in U.S. history, awarded to Elon Musk by Tesla.1 Executive compensation has long been a contentious issue, and despite ongoing debates, efforts to regulate it effectively remain elusive. The process by which executive compensation committees and boards of directors determine these awards—along with their independence, the influence of controlling or dominant stockholders, and the transparency of decision-making— raises important questions about whether meaningful change is occurring or if the system remains fundamentally the same, merely repackaged as “old wine in new bottles.

Can\u27t Escape Love
Can\u27t Escape Love, by Alyssa Cole, is about a nerdy romance that blossoms from an unexpected encounter at a coffee shop. This book does not just include a disabled character; it challenges assumptions about disability that are not true.
