The Effects of COVID-19 on Social Media and Exercise
The COVID-19 pandemic effected many aspects of daily life for the average human being. Increasingly, individuals relied on technology to stay connected to jobs, family, friends, and health services. Due to this isolation, many people began to rely on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and more, to get daily updates about COVID-19, masks, grocery production, and social and political functions. A recent study found that in a sample of 150 college students, 94.7% reported to have dramatically increased their screen time during the COVID-19 lockdown meaning that 43.3% of participants spent more than 6 hours on their electronic devices daily (Akulwar-Tajane et al., 2021). The present study hypothesizes that a similar increase will be observed related to use of social media and internet resources for exercise and nutritional instruction, with decreases in traditional in-person instruction and engagement. This study will utilize an anonymous online survey distributed through Marshall University listservs to measure reported changes in exercise behavior and associated utilization of social media. Results will be included. Discussion will focus on implications of social media use and effectiveness and accuracy of information for health behaviors
The Relationship Between Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega
Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega were the two most influential figures in literature of early modern Spain. Although they complemented each other very well in their work, their friendship did not last as their relationship tragically devolved into one of the most famous literary rivalries in Europe. Miguel de Cervantes is considered to be one of the greatest Spanish writers. He is best known for his novel Don Quixote which is a work that is often called the world’s first modern novel. Lope de Vega, on the other hand, was a highly esteemed playwright, poet, and novelist. Lope de Vega was also equally considered to be one of the most influential figures in the Spanish Golden Age of Baroque Literature. Lope de Vega was only second to that of Cervantes. De Vega renewed the Spanish theatre at a time when it was starting to become a mass cultural phenomenon. Cervantes envied de Vega because of the incredible volume of his life work. The clash between the two was no small issue. The goal of this paper is to explore the relationship between Miguel Cervantes and Lope de Vega, seeing how it radically changed Spanish literature for centuries to come

Broadcast History Gaps When Archival Material Exists: Inserting Peg Lynch and Ethel and Albert into Sitcom History
Lucy and Desi. Burns and Allen. Ozzie and Harriet. Ethel and Albert? The first three television couples tend to be the familiar husband-wife pairs that typify American 1950s sitcoms. These characters and their namesake programs, along with the Andersons in Father Knows Best and the Cleavers in Leave it to Beaver, are credited as templates for the domestic sitcom genre, where the narrative logic oscillates between morality lessons and outlandish plots to escape domestic life. When we study or reminisce about 1950s television, Ethel and Albert and their namesake program do not readily come to mind. However, the popularity of Ethel and Albert(1953-1956) on radio and television, and its critical acclaim, warrants examination as to why and how this program, and really any program with similar levels of notoriety in its time, remains obscure
