Steuk Wine Co., 1992

The winery was held in an old barn-like building with cellars located below the first floor retail store. This small business produced in the early 1990s about 3,500 gallons of wine and at the time was considered one of the oldest wineries in the U.S. still owned by the founding family. The winery closed around 1997.</p

Investigation of Three-Dimensional Space: A Computer Exercise for First-Year Design Studio
https://kent-islandora.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/node/16749/85605-thumbnail.jpgTypically, first-year design students are confronted with the problem of designing in three dimensions, of how to make meaning from chaos. Investigation has usually been through the study of handmade models and two dimensional orthographic projections. In the first-year computer design exercise described here the student is introduced to basic computer operations, and to how the computer (as a design tool) deals with the issues of conceptualizing three-dimensional forms and space. The foundation for this exercise is the employment of a tartan grid as a primal language for design.</p
