    DataDriver

    No full text
Analyzing data from clients is a time consuming, challenging, and skill intensive task. DataDriver, a web application, easily allows users to take their downloaded Excel files from SalesForce Lightning to be uploaded and reviewed, resolving those issues. DataDriver uses the capabilities of the Python library Pandas to read the Excel files, clean the data by removing duplicates, sort by user entered dates, return a fresh Excel file, produce pivot tables, and plot the data in a bar chart. Users can also decide to compare data from two distinct timeframes. If they choose to do so, the data in the bar graphs will be displayed side by side. The website contains a “Help and How to Use” tab for new users or users who are having difficulty navigating the site

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Mini-game App

    No full text
This project is an Android-based game designed to help individuals recognize and overcome negative thought patterns using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. The game consists of three mini-games: 1. Negative Thought Shooter: Players will shoot negative thoughts as they pop up on the screen, helping them quickly identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts. 2. Mindfulness Practice: This game guides players through simple mindfulness exercises, like focusing on their breath, using calming visuals and sounds. 3. Guided Meditation: Players will be taken through a series of short, relaxing meditation sessions to calm their minds and promote emotional awareness. The game is designed to make therapeutic techniques more approachable and enjoyable, especially for people who may not have access to traditional therapy. By incorporating CBT principles into a fun, interactive experience, this app aims to support users in managing their mental health more effectively

    SimMe

    No full text
In an age where digital communication dominates, SimMe offers the possibility of creating a virtual version of oneself that can continue conversations, represent the user, and interact with others even when the user is unavailable. SimMe is a web-based application designed to achieve exactly that. By using personal message data and sophisticated AI techniques, SimMe creates a highly personalized virtual self, capable of engaging in realistic, human-like interactions. SimMe leverages Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze message histories, learning the user\u27s unique conversational patterns, tone, and style. This virtual self can then be deployed in various scenarios—whether responding to friends in a message queue, scheduling tasks when the user is busy, or maintaining an ongoing conversation when the user is unavailable. The project\u27s ultimate goal is to enable users to engage with SimMe through a web interface, where the virtual self generates responses tailored to each specific target, based on prior interactions. This can be useful in several contexts: for instance, managing conversations that require immediate responses, acting as a stand-in during messaging downtime, or even as a personal social experiment. Beyond its practical applications, SimMe also serves as a unique experiment in AI-driven social interaction and virtual self-representation. Ethical considerations are central to the project, with strict measures in place to ensure data privacy and user consent for every conversation analyzed. In short, SimMe opens new possibilities for personalized AI interaction, allowing users to seamlessly extend their digital presence

Finding Meaning in Wine: A US Blend

    No full text
This book examines controversies in American wine culture and how those controversies intersect with and illuminate current academic and cultural debates about the environment and about interpretation. With a specific focus on the United States of America, the methods that we use to discuss literature and other art are applied to wine-making and wine culture. The book explores the debates about how to evaluate wine and the problems inherent in numerical scoring as well as evaluative tasting notes, whether winemakers can be artists, the discourse in wine culture involving natural wine and biodynamic farming, as well as how people judge what makes a wine great. These interpretative commitments illuminate an underlying metaphysics and allegiance to a culture of reason or feeling. The discussions engage with a broad range of writers and thinkers, such as Roland Barthes, Susan Sontag, Louis Menand, Michael Pollan, Greg Garrard, John Guillory, Amitov Ghosh, Pierre Bordieu, and Barbara Herrnstein-Smith. The book draws upon not only a number of texts produced by wine critics, wine writers, literary critics and theorists but also extensive interviews with wine writers and multiple California winemakers. These interviews contribute to a unique reflection on wine and meaning. This book will be of great interest to readers looking to learn more about wine from cultural, literary and philosophical perspectives -- Provided by publisher
