Impact Assessment Tool: integrating climate and environment, gender equality (including accessibility), and children's rights and youth perspectives in the Nordic Council of Ministers
No full textThe Nordic Council of Ministers has selected three cross-cutting perspectives that must be integrated into all sectors and phases of political initiatives, actions, programs, and decision-making processes. The integration work is intended to contribute to achieving Vision 2030 and follows the "Nordic Council of Ministers policy for mainstreaming sustainable development, gender equality, and a child rights and youth perspective". To support this work, a tailored impact assessment tool has been developed for the Nordic Council of Ministers. An impact assessment is a systematic evaluation that identifies blind spots, overlooked potentials, and unintended negative implications of a given initiative. The tool is primarily a learning tool that encourages reflection, and it works best when approached collaboratively, with questions being answered through dialogue among colleagues

No full textNorrænt samstarf innan MR-FJLS nær til fiskveiða og fiskeldis, landbúnaðar, matvælaframleiðslu og skógræktar auk hreindýranytja. Oft er þetta kallað norræna lífhagkerfið en hugtakið vísar til hagkerfis og samfélagsþróunar sem byggist á lífrænum auðlindum. Í öllum norrænu löndunum er lífhagkerfið mikilvægt og skiptir sköpum fyrir strjálbýl svæði og uppbyggingu heilbrigðra og viðnámsþolinna samfélaga með samkeppnishæfum fyrirtækjum. Á tímabilinu 2025–2030 verða þrjú markmið leiðandi: öflug græn umskipti, meiri samkeppnishæfni og aukinn viðnámsþróttur.
Fifty years of Nordic cooperation on gender equality
No full textThis year marks the 50th anniversary of the Nordic Council of Ministers’ decision to establish official co-operation between the Nordic governments on gender equality issues. The forms of Nordic co-operation have evolved and changed over the last half-century, and since 2020 the remit has expanded to include LBTQI rights. Today, the region is united around a broad political platform aimed at improving gender equality and achieving equal rights and opportunities for all. To make wise choices for the future, it is important to know the history that many of us are building on. That is why Nordic Information on Gender (NIKK), the co-operation body of the Nordic ministers for gender equality, has produced this anniversary publication. We have interviewed eight people with different backgrounds and knowledge and asked them to reflect on the years that have passed and to look ahead
Nordiska gränsutbyten och mobilitet inom kulturområdet
No full textDenna rapport sammanställer en analys av Norden som en integrerad kulturregion. Studien baseras på en beskrivning av gränssamarbeten och mobilitet mellan länderna. Fokus läggs på gränsöverskridande arbetspendling i allmänhet och nordisk arbetsmarknad för kulturskapare i synnerhet. Covid-19-pandemin hade en negativ påverkan på gränsutbyten men resultatet visar på en återhämtning. För kultursektorn finns säsongsskillnader där vissa kvartal innebär en mer frekvent pendling, totalsiffrorna är dock blygsamma om man ser till arbetspendling som helhet. Studien visar att Öresundsregionen utmärker sig som en mer integrerad arbetsmarknad, men tillgången till ytterligare pendlingsdata för kulturskapare skulle kunna påverka helhetsbilden. Rapporten innehåller även en analys av handel med kulturella varor och tjänster mellan de nordiska länderna. Under den senaste tioårsperioden har ett skifte skett där handel med kulturella tjänster gått om handel med kulturella varor. Rapporten är framtagen av Kulturanalys Norden. Kulturanalys Norden är ett nordiskt kunskapscentrum för kulturpolitik som etablerats på uppdrag av Nordiska ministerrådet. Rapporten är skriven på svenska med en sammanfattning på engelska

No full textI de nordiska ländernas kulturpolitik pekas på konstens och kulturens samhälleliga betydelse och nytta inom en rad olika områden som exempelvis ekonomi, hållbar utveckling och hälsa. Frågor kring konstens och kulturens nytta är också ett ofta diskuterat tema i den kulturpolitiska debatten. I denna kunskapsöversikt presenterar Kulturanalys Norden en samlad analys av forskningen om konstens och kulturens påverkan på samhälle och individ inom framför allt områdena ekonomisk utveckling, demokrati, hållbar utveckling och hälsa. Redogörelsen utgår ifrån den internationella forskningen på området och sammanfattar hur denna lyfter fram konstens och kulturens positiva påverkan men också den kritik som inom akademin riktats mot denna forskning. I kunskapsöversikten redogörs även för hur politikens syn på konstens och kulturens nytta växt fram historiskt i de nordiska länderna. Paris Alignment of Export Credit Agencies: Best Practice Guide
No full textAfter twelve OECD country case studies with extensive research and stakeholder engagement, Perspectives Climate Research has summarised best practices on the Paris Alignment of export credit agencies (ECAs). The guide serves as a practical toolkit to ECAs and their respective governments helping them to formulate and implement policies for aligning export finance with national and global climate goals. The extensive analysis of best practices shows that ECAs have a large potential to foster the transition from carbon-intensive investments to clean energy solutions. To achieve this potential, all ECAs in the OECD and beyond should implement similar best practices across five Paris alignment dimensions (transparency, fossil fuel exclusion, mitigation, climate finance and engagement)

No full textThe Nordic Textile Collaboration (2022-2024) addressed the environmental challenges associated with textile consumption in the Nordics. The project implemented three initiatives:1. Active Textile Society: Engaging brands and citizens to support the uptake of circular business models and circular consumption. 2. Sharing Nordic Circular Competences: Exchanging cutting-edge knowledge between Nordic professionals across the entire textile value chain.3. EU & Textile Coffee Breaks: Updating participants on EU legislation.The report presents project results and three recommendations for stimulating a circular textile economy in the Nordics: 1) Support the growth of circular business models, 2) Engage citizens in the circular transition 3) Make design for circularity the standard. The report serves as a reference tool for initiators of future work on circular textiles

No full textThe Nordic Smart Government & Business (NSG&B) 4.0 programme aims to digitalise Nordic SMEs by easening administrative burdens for SMEs to conduct trade and data sharing seamlessly cross-border in the Nordic region and beyond. This report covers the period from 2021-2024 in which government agencies and private sector partners in the Nordic countries have developed and tested solutions for automatic data exchange and reporting. Key achievements include pilots that show that it is possible to fully automate cross-border trade using eDocuments over the Peppol network directly between the ERP-systems of Nordic companies, a common Nordic API for public business registry data, a shared Nordic vocabulary for financial income statements, and contributions to the EU’s eWallet initiative as well as a method for automation of cross-border VAT reporting (ViDA)
