Skolval och andra val riktade till unga i Norden : En praktisk guide över att ordna val riktade till unga

    No full text

    No full text
Tämä opas, osana Pohjoismaisen ministerineuvoston rahoittamaa Ungas val -hanketta, kokoaa yhteen parhaat käytänteet Pohjoismaissa järjestetyistä kouluvaaleista ja muista nuorille suunnatuista vaaleista.  Nuorille suunnattujen vaalien tarkoitus on madaltaa kynnystä osallistua demokraattisiin prosesseihin ja vahvistaa nuorten kansalaispätevyyttä käytännön kokemuksen kautta. Tutkimukset eri maista osoittavat, että nuorille suunnatut vaalit kasvattavat nuorten ymmärrystä politiikasta, vahvistavat luottamusta demokratiaan ja lisäävät aikomusta äänestää tulevaisuudessa virallisissa vaaleissa.  Onnistuneet nuorille suunnatut vaalit vaativat pitkäjänteistä työtä, systemaattisia tapoja mitata vaalien vaikuttavuutta, riittäviä resursseja ja yhteistyötä eri toimijoiden välillä. Opas tarjoaa käytännön työkaluja nuorille suunnattujen vaalien järjestämiseen

How Barriers and Policies Influence the Transition to Emission-Free Construction Sites

    No full text
This publication identifies the barriers to achieving emission-free construction sites, a crucial step in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the building sector. The report categorizes these obstacles into four key areas: policy and regulation, financial constraints, technological challenges, and systemic issues. It provides actionable insights based on research, stakeholder discussions, and a survey. Addressing these barriers requires collaboration across sectors to create a more sustainable and competitive construction industry in the Nordics. The findings aim to show policymakers and industry professionals the challenges to encourage changes towards the green transition

Effects of climate change on future environment and marine life in the Nordic sea areas

    No full text
The report provides new knowledge on the effects of climate change on future environment and marine life in the Nordic sea areas. The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) provides a lot of high-quality information. However, the IPCC reports are global and there is little room for focusing on the Nordic sea areas and global climate models don’t have sufficient spatial resolution to provide a good basis for decision-making on a Nordic scale.  The project NorScen and this report aims to fill the gap by producing, presenting and discussing results of new detailed regionally resolved model data on future physical, biogeochemical, and ecological variables for especially the Baltic, North, Norwegian, and Barents seas. Through this the project aims to enhance the foundation for economic and societal adaptation and provide a robust knowledge base for decision-makers

Development of recommendations for grouping of endocrine disruptors

    No full text
Minimizing exposure to endocrine disruptors (EDs) is high on the political agenda, both in the EU and in the Nordic region. One tool to speed up these efforts is by regulating groups of substances. This project analysed case examples of groupings of EDs. For each case example, advantages, challenges, uncertainties and regulatory perspectives were discussed and learnings were extracted. On this basis, recommendations for grouping of EDs were developed and incorporated in a simplified workflow, which can guide grouping of EDs. Main findings were that EDs can be grouped like other chemicals, their complex hazard profiles require special attention and groupings should start with the broadest group possible. To facilitate competence building for grouping of EDs in EU regulatory process, the report was presented to chemical authorities across the EU at a webinar in November 2024

Evaluation of potential measures to reach the recycling benchmarks of the Critical Raw Materials Act : Better recycling of critical raw materials in the Nordics – Second report

    No full text
The Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) of EU sets up recycling benchmarks for strategic raw materials that cannot be met without radical changes to how such materials are recovered after use. There is an urgent need for improved technological solutions that allow better collection and sorting of waste streams that can serve as feedstock for recycling operations that recover strategic and critical raw materials. As a rule, these recycling processes also need to become more efficient and must be able to recover a larger number of individual materials than what is possible today. This second report continues the discussion on how the Nordic region can improve secondary value chains for critical raw materials and presents a more detailed description of a series of relevant measures and instruments that can give the Nordic region a leading role in this crucial endeavor
