    Get PDF
The main focus is given to the use of splines of the fourth order of approximation. The features of the application of the polynomial and non-polynomial splines of the fourth order of approximation to the solution of Volterra integral equation of the second kind are discussed. In addition to local splines of the Lagrangian type, integro-differential splines are also used to construct computational schemes. The comparison of the solutions obtained by different methods is carried out. The results of the numerical experiments are presented

    No full text
The case is devoted to the transition of the telecommunications company Tele2 to a management system based on the principles of continuous improvement of customer experience, or CX-transformation. The case describes the development of Tele2 in the Russian cellular market in 2003–2020. Firstly, it outlines the main aspects of the Tele2’s business strategy in 2003–2016. Secondly, it provides a detailed description of events that took place in 2015–2016, when Tele2’s financial and operational performance indicators dwindled, and the mobile operator was challenged to develop a new business strategy that meets the changing market realities. Finally, there is a description of a new customer-focused strategy that implied the integration of customer metrics into all organizational processes and the restructuring of the internal customer experience management system. The case describes actions taken by the company during 2017–2020 to implement customer experience management practices and outlines the key results of Tele2’s CX transformation. The case is based on Tele2’s internal reports, retrospective interviews with the company’s representatives involved in the CX transformation process, and secondary opensource information. The case can be used to discuss the prerequisites, goals, components, and success factors of CX transformation

Harmonization in Translation Cultural Context: On the Material of Translations from Chinese and in Chinese

    No full text
In the process of translation, the cultural context of the original language and the target language acts on the translator’s translation behavior in a dialogue manner, forming a dialogue mechanism, including foreignization, domestication, and harmonization. Foreignization, is a translation strategy that uses the original language culture as the strong culture to cover the target language culture as the weak culture. Domestication, takes the target language culture as the strong culture and the original language culture as the weak culture. It is a translation strategy in which weak culture is submerged by strong culture. Harmonization refers to equal dialogue in cultural context, and is a translation strategy that takes into account both the cultural context of the original language and the target language. The harmonization strategy pays full attention to the differences between the cultural context of the original language and the target language, so that the original language culture can be fully transmitted, and the target language cultural world can be received correctly without being covered or dissolved. Foreignization and domestication are unequal dialogues between two cultural contexts, while Harmonization is an equal dialogue. The choice of dialogue mode depends on the different status of the bilingual cultural context, or the objective status, or the subjective status in the translator’s mind. The harmonious treatment of the translation cultural context is conducive to the harmonious coexistence of multiple cultures. The given research is part of the People’s Republic of China Public Sciences Foundation “Study of the mechanisms of adapting to context when translating to Chinese language during war with Japan, and their values” (19BYY207)

Systematization of the factors of consumer participation in the sharing economy

    No full text
Goal: to systematize the factors of consumer participation in collaborative consumption at different levels of the sharing economy. Methodology: a systematic review of the literature on the topic of the factors of consumer participation in collaborative consumption was used as the main research method. For the analysis, the authors selected studies that were published between January 2012 and May 2022 in foreign scientific journals indexed in the scientific citation databases WoS, Scopus, and Google Scholar. As part of the primary selection, the authors analyzed more than 2 thousand publications on the topic. The most relevant papers for the systematic review of the literature were included in the final sample of 151 publications. Findings: as a result of the analysis, the factors of consumer participation in collaborative consumption are systematized into the following groups: economic, technological, political, legal, social, environmental, demographic, psychological, and hedonistic; in addition, the features of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as a separate macro factor are revealed. Each group of factors is described at five levels of the sharing economy: personal, organizational, industry, state, and global. Originality and contributions: from a theoretical point of view, the systematization provides comprehensive information about the factors of consumer participation in sharing at each level of the sharing economy, summarizing a number of existing approaches to interpreting participation factors. Concerning application in practice, the results of the survey may be of interest to companies in the sharing economy sector, since additional information about the interaction of exchange participants at different levels will allow companies to better understand their motives, which will contribute to the development of effective marketing and market strategies, increase sales, strengthen the company’s position in the market and the development of an effective response to the challenges of the external economic environment in conditions of economic instability. This research has been conducted within the fundamental research project 2022.002R. The competitive advantage in the age of digitalization

    No full text
The nature of the competitive advantage concept is changing in the digital era. The relationship between the company and its customers emerges at the core of the company’s competitive advantage. This relationship is formed by digital technologies. The value proposition in digital industries is provided not by a single company but rather with the help of a network of cooperating companies. This transforms the nature of competition into the “cooperative competition” realized through ecosystems. Ecosystems emerge on the basis of cooperation network by partnering companies building joint value proposition to their customers. Ecosystems experience their own dynamics and require special management skills, often different from the skills required to manage a single company

The Number of Russian Naval Officers during the Civil War

The article presents some conclusions of a research project on the mass prosopographic analysis of the “old” (mainly commissioned before October 1917) Russian naval officers during the Civil War (1917–1922) — primarily, it concerns the number of representatives of this category in the Red Fleet and in the main white groups. The article outlines the main historiography and a range of problems researchers face: the objective lack of sources; the complex and changeable structure of naval officership; different approaches of the Reds and the Whites to the concept of “officer” or “person of the command staff”; the continuation of appointment to officers by white governments; transfers to the fleet from the land army. The hypothesis put forward by the author of this article in 2007 on this issue — that about 80 % of the “old” navy officers served with the Reds during the Civil War — is being revised. The conclusion is that about 42 % of the “old” navy officers served during the Civil War only in the Red Army; up to 24 % of officers served at least for some time in various white formations; and about 34 % of officers evaded participation in the Civil War. Conclusions are drawn about the number of “old” naval officers in the main white formations. For the first time in historiography, the composition of the Corps of Naval Officers (as part of Armed Forces of South Russia) is described

The digenean complex life cycle: phylostratigraphy analysis of the molecular signatures

    Get PDF
The parasitic flatworms from Digenea group have been the object of numerous in-depth studies for several centuries. The question of the evolutionary origin and transformation of the digenean complex life cycle remains relevant and open due to the biodiversity of these parasites and the absence of fossil records. However, modern technologies and analysis methods allow to get closer to understanding the molecular basis of both the realization of the cycle and its complication. In the present study, we have applied phylostratigraphy and evolutionary transcriptomics approaches to the available digenean genomic and transcriptomic data and built ancestral genomes models. The comparison results of Platyhelminthes and Digenea ancestor genome models made it possible to identify which genes were gained and duplicated in the possible genome of digenean ancestor. Based on the bioprocesses enrichment analysis results, we assumed that the change in the regulation of many processes, including embryogenesis, served as a basis for the complication of the ancestor life cycle. The evolutionary transcriptomics results obtained revealed the “youngest” and “oldest” life cycle stages of Fasciola gigantica, F. hepatica, Psilotrema simillimum, Schistosoma mansoni, Trichobilharzia regenti, and T. szidati. Our results can serve as a basis for a more in-depth study of the molecular signatures of life cycle stages and the evolution transformation of individual organ systems and stagespecific traits. The research was funded by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, project No. 19-34-90111 and by the State research project No. 1021051703357-3
