SHILOH HISTORY NOTES 
 
First Pastor known at Shiloh was T. W. Munnerlyn in 1878.  As on 2020 we have had 60 plus 
ministers. 
 
Earliest Member Book 1897 – 1937 has many interesting facts: 
• First listed marriage was Miss Belle Perritt and Waitus Blake Godbold by Rev. J. H. Brown 
on Feb. 27, 1907. 
• First listed Infant Baptism was Eva Louise Jones.  Her parents were Ebenezer and M. 
Carrie Jones.  The Baptism was performed by Rev. James H.  Brown on July 28, 1907 
• First name in the 1897 Registered was Miss Sarah Alford.  The last name in the register 
was Kathleen Walker, Oct. 1937. 
• Many current families’ surnames at Shiloh are found in this Member Book.  A few of the 
names are:  Boatwright, Byrd, Bullard, Godbold, Grice, Jones, Miles, Perritt, Rodgers and 
Wiggins.   
 
Other historical documentation consists of: 
First Administrative Board Minutes is documented in 1970. 
First Conference notes we have is in 1830. 
First Sunday School records Shiloh has started in 1877 
First Finance Records we have listed is in 1932.
