Aura Aero, A perspective on sustainability and resilience
Since its foundation, AURA AERO has committed to tackle aviation related environmental impacts, through an incremental industrial approach that has allowed the company to become the first fully fledged aircraft manufacturer among the new players in the field of Advanced Air Mobility. AURA AERO product policy has been gradually shaped to scale-up towards bigger, smarter, greener products, and is now enriched by unmanned technologies, as an adaptation to newer societal demands induced by the current geopolitical context. The presentation will give an update on the latest company and product developments, and particularly those related to the INTEGRAL E - the two seater electric training aircraft with aerobatic capabilities, and ERA - the 19-seater hybrid-electric regional aircraft
USI
USI - Unmanned Safety Institute (USI) provides an overview of the testing and certification for Level I – Safety Certification and Visual Line of Sight Operations (VSO). Session repeated on Thursday, 1:00
MyACA Session (Canusia)

Preparing Students for Checkride with Gleim Sim
This Breakout Session will go over the basics of Airport Pattern Flying on Gleim Simulators utilizing AS120\u27s Bounce Pattern and AS120 Sim Labs. Instructors will learn how to prepare students for an end-of-course Checkride around an airport, make radio callouts, pilot/co-pilot communication, and increase the student\u27s understanding of aircraft instruments
UAS Legislation
Are you unsure how recent UAS-related legislation affects your school\u27s curriculum? This session dives into the key federal and state laws, including Remote ID, approved manufacturers, Florida-specific UAS laws, FRIAs, and more. This session is recommended for instructors and administrators
Avionics using Snap Circuits
In this session we will explore the use of snap circuits to build circuits. Students can use this and similar equipment to make series and parallel circuits as they explore how avionics are used in planes and airports. By using Snap Circuits, middle school students can gain a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles, preparing them for more advanced studies in aviation and other STEM fields
From Behind The Door\u27s Window To The Cockpit\u27s Window
This personal essay, From Behind the Door to Behind the Cockpit Window, reflects on a journey of transformation from working as a flight attendant to pursuing the dream of becoming a pilot. Growing up in Singapore, my aspirations of flight seemed unattainable due to academic struggles, but a career in aviation reignited those dreams. Inspired by breathtaking moments, such as viewing Mount Fuji from an airplane window, and a pivotal conversation when i met with a pilot on a 5th freedom flight, I embark on a new path through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This story explores resilience, the power of perspective, and the determination to redefine my perceived limits
Exploring ERAU Fleet Airspace Utilization Using ADS-B Data
This study presents an exploratory analysis of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) flight training operations at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) using ADS-B data from the OpenSky Network. The analysis focuses on ERAU\u27s 2023 operations, investigating patterns and trends across multiple dimensions, including temporal variables (seasons, months, days of the week, and flight blocks), geographic positions, and fleet types. By examining these variables, the study identifies variations in air traffic density, geographic preferences, and fleet utilization throughout the year. A key focus of this research is measuring airspace usage near DAB and analyzing aircraft flow during peak and off-peak hours. Data preprocessing was conducted using Python, and advanced visualizations were created in Tableau to provide insights into ERAU\u27s airspace utilization. This research not only contributes to optimizing flight operations but also enhances analytical capabilities for addressing broader aviation challenges using ADS-B data
