This is a storyboard with many different outcomes. You control his life! this is an educational board that gives you information about lung cancer that you may be unaware of.\u27Billy comes from a very successful and educated family. Billy is 18 years old and a senior in high school. He is unsure of his future and likes to live in the moment of fun. He goes out with his friends every weekend and the environment he is in, is becoming dangerous by using vape and cigarettes. Will Billy give in and participate in these activities? Child Marriage Within the United States
Child Marriage in the United States is something that is not widely known. There are many harnful implications for the young girls involved and there needs to be light brought to this subject
COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution for the Homeless Population in Virginia
Due to the lack of proper personal hygiene, clean water and housing, the homeless population is more susceptible to infections. In addition, the homeless are more likely to have compromised immune systems (i.e., HIV/AIDS) due to illicit drug use and sex work. Furthermore, there is not a current systematic state program that allows feasible access to the COVID-19 vaccine due to limited internet access and/or phone access. We are proposing that the Virginia House of Delegates provide state funding for vaccination drives in areas with high poverty rates. Locations can be at soup kitchens, food banks, domestic abuse shelters, and homeless shelters
Heavy Metal, Moral Panic, and Residing Stigma
Since its origins of the 1970s up to the present, the musical themes of Heavy Metal along with the associated subcultures have been the prey of various moral ideologies, particularly of a conservative matter. Moral panics have ensued in the past over various qualities of the genre, and there is still residual stigma to be found today, much of which is based upon misperceptions of cause and effect
Risk assessment of Bear Creek Sediments
The risk assessment process involves identifying and characterizing hazards, determining dose-response relationships, and assessing possible exposures to toxins in order to inform risk management. The goal of this project was to complete the steps of a risk assessment and develop a perspective on risk management. Data collected from publicly available databases, scholarly articles, and targeted sources were used to perform a risk assessment for Bear Creek Sediments. Social, economic, political, and/or legal perspectives were considered when determining the best risk management approaches
Using FreeMoCap Software to Examine and Quantify Bodily Movements
Human motion capture has been used to study skeletal biomechanics by analyzing bodily movements. The most common way to analyze body movements is to place reflective markers on the joints and record the movements to then move frame by frame to capture the desired joint angles. However new software has been developed called FreeMoCap in which this research examined. FreeMoCap easily quantified bodily movements and is easy to use by the common person. This software is easily downloaded onto a computer at home and only requires two cameras to use and does all analyzing of the movements automatically. Having a free movement software easy enough to download and use can be the future of scientific advancements and allow access to communities where expensive software is not readily available
The Impact Of The Pandemic On Adolescents
Due to Covid-19, millions of people have been forced to quarantine at home with their family for the majority of 2020. This can have negative impacts on a child\u27s mental health. In some cases the parents are fighting a lot, maybe they have a substance abuse problem, and may be struggling financially because of the many jobs knocked out by Covid in 2020. Therefore in many cases, a child being forced to stay at home with their family can be a bad thing. Our source states that women and children are at a higher risk for abuse during quarantine (World Health Organization, 2020). We hypothesize that children\u27s social and emotional skills will be negatively impacted. This could be caused by just isolation of the child, or by parents not providing the child with necessities like food and nurture. Children are the future of our world. Our society needs to give them adequate attention and service in order for them to succeed in the future
Reconstructing Isotelus rex
Isotelus rex is the largest trilobite currently known at over 720 mm in length, and by extension is one of the largest arthropods known. However, despite these accolades, it is relatively unknown in both the public consciousness and in the scientific community. This is partially due to its scant visual database, with barely any artistic restorations to help represent its life appearance. In order to rectify this, a digital reconstruction of Isotelus rex is produced utilizing programs such as Blender and Zbrush. The final result of the work is a fully animated restoration of the trilobite, bolstering its visual database and public awareness
