    Performance of remixes of Bowie songs. The Meteor is proud to present our new performance night, Zeitgeist: BOWIE. This evening celebrates the late, great David Bowie and encourages fans from all hidden corners of the region to come out for a fun night, dressed their best, to enjoy a variety of local acts! The Black Box will showcase the work of local musicians as they play the music we love and some more obscure tracks as well. With an exhibition in the foyer, Zeitgeist: BOWIE will also have a sprinkling of costume, film, comedy and more. Local band Conway are among the performers and you can end the night dancing to the great sounds of Bowie, played by local legends Pop Squad. The world may never stop mourning the loss of the Goblin King, so Zeitgeist: BOWIE is a perfect opportunity to celebrate one of the great artists of our times. All proceeds from the evening will go to Save The Meteor, our campaign to raise funds to make The Meteor earthquake-proof

    Musica in Cerebro A paper about the relationship between music and the brain with exploration of literature and research around neurological links to music. This is paired with a performance of an original composition called "Musica In Cerebro" which was composed for a collaborative project with the Otago University Brain Health Research Centre. The music draws on certain musical ideas that have an emotional and mental impact on us as listeners - combined with recordings of brainwaves.     Smell and sound sculpture with Owen Mayall and Demeter Fragrance Library “In this piece the audience is asked to place their head inside the sculpture in order to block the visual sense, and focus on the sense of hearing and smell. This project endeavours to produce an environment where the unique characteristics of scent perception are harnessed to communicate emotions and ideas. Through the combination of sound and smell the stimuli work to create a sense of relaxation and a vague dreamlike experience of unexpected meaning.
