Design of “hot-spot” for beneficial insects in urban context
This study has the aim of identifying the wild plant species located in the case study area, an urban agro-ecological farm, that could be used to build functional biodiversity "hot-spots", in order to attract and create suitable habitats for predators, parasitoids and pollinators insects in view of conservative biological control and pollination service.
Design of the specific "hot spots" is based on the consideration that some plants have a fundamental role in entomophagous and pollinator insects life as source of protein through their pollen, energy from their nectar, alternative preys and winter shelter. These roles are synthetized within the sigla SNAP (shelter, nectar, alternative preys), the base of conservative
biological control

Enforcement & Law-Making of the EU Trade Policy
The dataset was originally created in SPSS (sav format). To ensure accessibility of the data for all kinds of data analysis software, the datafile is provided in csv format. Information on how to convert a csv into an excel file can be obtained through the following link:
https://knowledgebase.constantcontact.com/tutorials/KnowledgeBase/6269-convert-a-text-file-to-an-excel-file?lang=en_US
The dataset includes variable name, variable label, and a list of values and value labels for all variables. The questionnaire is also available in the repository
PLUS.WP2 Qualitative analysis of platform labor in Lisbon
This dataset includes primary data collected through interviews and focus groups to platform workers, entrepreneurs, policymakers and experts delivered in Lisbon in 2020. The data used to deliver a comparative analysis between the seven cities of PLUS project, are anonymized and coded according to a common codebook provided by the coordinator of PLUS. Textual qualitative file saved in ODT format are exported from Nvivo Software that has been used for coding and anonymizing the transcriptions of interviews and focus groups

Doing Social Sciences via Comics and Graphic Novels
Visual communication is far from new and is almost as old as the social sciences. In the last decades, the interest in the visual dimension of society as well as towards the visual as expression of local and global cultures increased to the extent that specific disciplinary approaches took root --- e.g. visual anthropology and visual sociology. Nevertheless, it seems to us that whereas they are mostly engaged in collecting visual data and analyzing visual cultural products, little attention is paid to one of the original uses of visual material in ethnographic and social research, that is communicating social sciences. Departing from some general questions, such as how visualizing sociological concepts, what role non-textual stimuli play in sociology, how they differentiate according to the kind of public, and how we can critically and reflexively assess the social and disciplinary implications of visualizations of empirical research, we collect in the special issues contributions from social scientists and comics artists who materially engaged in the production of social sciences via comics and graphic narratives.
The article is divided into three parts. Firstly, we briefly address the rollercoaster history of encounters between sociology and the sequential art. Secondly, we reconstruct the dynamics and processes which lead to the institutionalization of a transnational field of comics studies. Finally, we introduce the contributions collected in the special issue, based on the persona experiences of social scientists, sometimes in collaboration with illustrators
