In the data are gathered the result, showing the robot position and grasped cable position first order estimation on the sensor before and after the correction

«Vorsicht, ich bin kein Mann!». Il tipo sociale della Neue Frau nella cultura visuale della Repubblica di Weimar

    Get PDF

«TRY TO MAKE FRIENDS AMONG THE BEST AND NOT AMONG THE WORST!». MAXIMUS THE GREEK AND THE LETTER OF PATRIARCH PHOTIOS TO PRINCE BORIS • The Greek text version of the Letter of Patriarch Photios to Prince Boris dates from the last years of the first patriarchate of Photios, (shortly before 867) and has come down to us in a number of codices, the oldest of which dates from the first half of the tenth century. The Church-Slavonic translation of the Letter, for its part, survives in fifteen Russian manuscripts, dated from the beginning of the sixteenth century onwards. There is no scholarly agreement on when, where and by whom the text was translated into Slavic. Several arguments have led some scholars to attribute the Slavic translation to Maximus the Greek, at the time of his stay in Muscovy. However, on the grounds of cultural-historical, linguistic and textual evidence, it can be argued that the Letter was translated in fourteenth-century Bulgaria, and then reviewed in sixteenth-century Muscovy (and Maximus the Greek is certainly the best candidate for such a task). This scenario is supported by the comparison of the evangelical verses quoted in the translation with the textual tradition of the Slavic gospels

LESSONS IN TRANSLATION. The essays in this volume focus on translation, analyzed as an intercultural process in which two different language-cultures concretely become one text, a texte de textes, whose semiotic substance derives precisely from this meeting-clash between them. Translation is here understood first and foremost as a concrete discursive practice and enunciative strategy, and secondly as a theory that tends to resemanticize the process in a cultural perspective: from concept to text, or rather from concepts to texts, as this field of research requires and as evidenced by the convergent perspective of analysis which lies behind the variety of methods and themes in this series of lessons, which range from the history of translation to self-translation, from verse and wordplay translations to the biography of translators. This convergence of perspective and intent is embodied in the didactic, less specialized, style of the articles, which are mainly addressed to a student readership, as implicit in the title of the series: Lessons in Translation

The dataset is related to the approaches proposed in the literature to address the problem of mapping human to robot hand motions are summarized and discussed, organized under macrocategories related to the great quantity of presented methods that are often difficult to be seen from a general point of view due to different fields of application, specific use of algorithms, terminology, and declared goals of the mappings. The work mainly focuses on the following six categories: direct joint, direct Cartesian, task-oriented, dimensionality reduction based, pose recognition based, and hybrid mappings. The data are presented in the publication: R. Meattini, R. Suárez, G. Palli and C. Melchiorri, "Human to Robot Hand Motion Mapping Methods: Review and Classification," in IEEE Transactions on Robotics, 2022, doi: 10.1109/TRO.2022.3205510

    Multilingual Global Education Digest 2022

    Get PDF
ANGEL’s Global Education Digest, developed by the Development Education Research Centre and UNESCO Chair in GCED in Higher Education at the University of Bologna, provides a reasoned bibliography of academic materials and policy documents relevant to the field of global education. It covers the material that has been published recently in 10 European languages (English, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovakian, and Spanish). Global Education served as an umbrella for differing traditions while putting an enlightening educational process and values of equity, sustainability and human rights at the core of the process. ANGEL network and Global Education Network Europe (GENE) have used this definition of Global Education for almost 20 years and it is widely recognised and available in multiple languages. Global Education is understood to encompass Development Education, Human Rights Education, Education for Sustainability, Education for Peace and Conflicts prevention and Intercultural Education; being the global dimensions of Education for citizenship. The Global Education Digest project is an initiative that is growing in three key dimensions: in the number of languages featured, in the numbers and nationalities of contributors, and in breadth of format— with the creation of a digital archive. Despite our efforts to look beyond European boundaries, through publications and contributors that come from other continents, this project currently offers mostly an analysis on Global Education in Europe. The Digest publications are cooperative projects, with contributors drawn from amongst the ANGEL network’s growing membership. The number of contributors involved this year increased from 25 to 36, and from 13 different countries. The main goals of the project are: a) to provide a comprehensive picture of the relevant literature published in Global Education (GE) in widely spoken languages, b) Provide a project and a resource that would enhance and develop the ANGEL community, strengthening the network of researchers working in Europe on Global Citizenship Education (GCE)

MERGING- Housing for immigrants and community integration in Europe and beyond: Strategies, policies, dwellings, and governance funded by European Union, Horizon 2020 Programme: WP3 Task 2: Comparative Report on Case Analysis

The present report on local case studies is thus framed within significant parts of the national states of the art sketched within the scope of WP2 for each country that is subject to our research (Italy, Spain, Sweden and France); Literature review on immigrants’ housing policies and practice existing at supra-national, national, and local level across relevant disciplines (see D2.1 Report); Policy analysis including elements of discourse analysis of documents, programs and legal framework that frame, shape and limit housing and immigrants’ integration in the four countries of the MERGING project, including how European discourses on integration and refugees’ policies guidelines are interpreted and implemented at national level (see D2.2 Report). According to our research design, WP3 had two major goals. The first one entailed the selection of a relevant project providing refugees with accommodation. An in-depth qualitative analysis of the selected case study was accordingly conducted to assess how the provision of housing affects refugees’ inclusion in the four countries. A comparative structure was then developed that partially reproduces that of the country reports, foreseeing 7 chapters respectively on: 1. State of the art: Refugee integration in the EU 2. Methodology 3. Case Studies 4. Governance regimes of refugees’ integration through housing 5. Social Integration Through Housing 6. Emerging issues: between challenges and opportunities 7. Conclusion
