This article investigates a plethora of words related to the semantic field of ‘warrior’ occurring in the “Nibelungenlied”. Middle High German offers a rich array of lexemes to express this concept, each with its own unique nuance based on its etymon. Closer investigation shows that choosing one term instead of another does not relate to the etymon per se or variatio linguistica-grounded phenomena but is intricately tied to metrical requirements. This contribution examines those verses where the warrior-related lexicon most often occurs and their translation into Italian. Namely, it reveals how translators often overlooked the metrical placement of the term in the original text, leading to translations that were too predictable and repetitive
Data about the proliferative activity of neoplastic cells of a case series of 31 canine splenic hemangiosarcoma
The dataset contains the data on ki67 expression in neoplastic cells of 31 canine splenic hemangiosarcomas. For each case are included the signalment of dogs, including sex, age and breed; clinical information, including the stage of the disease at the diagnosis, time to progression and overall survival time; data regarding the proliferative activity of neoplastic cells including: Ki67 count (% of positive cells over the total neoplastic cells, minimum cell counted 1000), KI67 grid score (number of positive neoplastic cells in a optical grid at 40x), and mitotic count (MC) as total of mitotic figures in 2.37mm2
INTELLIMAN. WP5 T5-1-1. Monocular Estimation of Connector Orientation: Combining Deformable Linear Object Priors and Smooth Angle Classification
The dataset contains data related to the development of a learning-based solution for the detection of manufacturing errors in the context of robotic wiring harness assembly. In particular, the dataset contains the training set, the validation set, and the test set used to develop the proposed neural networks-based error detector, and the scripts to train and test the neural networks and store the trained models. The data were produced in the framework of Horizon Europe INTELLIMAN project and are presented in the publication:

Palli, "Monocular Estimation of Connector Orientation: Combining Deformable Linear Object Priors and Smooth Angle Classification," 2024 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics (AIM), Boston, MA, USA, 2024, pp. 799-804, doi: 10.1109/AIM55361.2024.10637081
UseFool. Stolen Horses and Scented Garments
This data set contains data collected in the framework of the Horizon Europe ERC project “UseFool”. In particular, the data were collected in the textual analysis of premodern Arabic technical sources and the in the course of laboratory experiences to investigate vegetal and mineral yellow dyes and pigments. The final results of this research were published in Lucia Raggetti, “Stolen Horses and Scented Garments: Vegetal and Mineral Yellow in Arabic Technical Literature”, Ambix 71/1 (2024), 35‒72
Data on organic carbon and nitrogen in soil physical fractions after 14 years of compost supply
The data contained in this dataset are related to the distribution and level of stabilization of organic C and total N in physical fractions after a 14-years-period of compost application to a peach orchard. Data refer to different type of fertilization (no fertilization, mineral and compost). Soil was sampled from the row at four depths and physically fractionated in macroaggregates, microaggregates and silt and clay. In all fraction organic C, total N, delta13C, and delta15N were analyzed
Back to Fundamentals of Research. Interdisciplinarity. Roundtable 2: The researchers' perspective
On October 9, 2024, the University of Bologna hosted an international event titled: “Back to fundamentals of research: Interdisciplinarity”. The event featured distinguished speakers and scholars from national and international institutions who shared their insights on interdisciplinary research and some recommendations on how foster this approach for all stakeholders, from researchers to institutions. The second of the two roundtables gathered the perspectives of 6 researchers and was moderated by prof. Anna Chiara Fariselli, Former Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies (ISA), University of Bologna. Three of the researchers are ISA visiting fellows, and the other three ISA Doctoral Prize Winners at the University of Bologna. Each researcher presented a case study and then answered questions posed by the moderator. This deck of slides includes all the case studies presented
[Zapisi khudozhnika. 1911 god] Botiev reflects on the year 1911 and its importance for Khlebnikov's literary career
[Leonardo i Velimir: renassansnyi tvorets kak "khudozhnik-dlya-proizvoditelya". Predvaritel'nye nablyudeniia] The article focuses on parallels between Leonardo da Vinci’s and Velimir Khlebnikov’s oeuvres and biographies. Both artists/poets combined in their creations the methods of scientific and artistic knowledge. Each of them called himself an inventor. It is possible to define both as «an artist for theoreticians», «a poet for producers». Both Leonardo and Velimir have long since become a legend, a myth. Their idiostyles are extremely complex and have
a number of formal similarities. Both creators most certainly deserve to be called homo universalis
[Kak sdelana zaum' Khlebnikova] The present essay aims to assess the efficacy of hermeneutical principles developed by Maksim Shapir and other scholars in describing the nature and pragmatics of zaum’ (transrational language) elaborated by Velimir Khlebnikov: zaum’ is a fluid, polymorphic language; the lexemes on which this language is built are polygaplological composites: they are dissected to infinity and, essentially, form a unified verbal sequence, continuous and indivisible
