No full text为深入贯彻落实中央书记处关于建设世界一流科技期刊的重要指示精神,落实《关于深化改革 培育世界一流科技期刊的意见》,中国科协等7部门于2019年起启动实施“中国科技期刊卓越行动计划”。其中有科期刊出版(北京)有限公司(以下简称“有科出版”)成功入选“中国科技期刊卓越行动计划集群化试点子项目”,成为全国5家集群化试点项目单位之一。有科出版拥有遍布全国、覆盖全行业、层次分明、功能齐全的大型有色金属期刊集群。目前,有色金属行业科技期刊集群共有68种期刊,包括15种具有国际影响力的旗舰期刊和53种优质行业代表性期刊。
在“中国科技期刊卓越行动计划”的支持下,有色金属期刊集群进行了一系列改革和创新,推动了行业科技创新发展,在打造高品质科技期刊、数字出版传播平台等方面取得了卓越成就,为建设中国品牌的世界一流刊群奠定了坚实的基础。为探究其成功经验,《中国科技期刊研究》编辑部对有科出版钱九红董事长进行了专访,就“有色金属期刊集群”在运行机制、管理模式、质量建设、人才队伍建设、行业深度融合发展、数字出版传播平台建设等方面的议题进行了深入探讨。</p
人工智能赋能知识服务，开启智能数字农业未来——2020全国图书情报青年学术论坛会议综述
No full text[目的 /意义]针对2020年11月5—6日在中国农业科学院国家农业图书馆举办的以"人工智能赋能知识服务,开启智能数字农业未来"为主题的第395期中国科协青年科学家论坛暨2020全国图书情报青年学术论坛的会议内容进行梳理和总结,对图书情报和智慧农业从业人员提供参考和借鉴。[方法 /过程]本文根据与会专家的报告主题,从人工智能推动图书馆学情报学研究方法创新和知识服务基础设施升级,人工智能技术助力农业科技创新和人工智能时代信息贫困问题3个方面对专家报告的内容进行了分类归纳和内容综述。[结果 /结论]人工智能技术正在加速推动图书情报领域知识服务的方式方法、手段设施的变革;同时,人工智能融入农业等科技领域为图书情报领域提出了高阶要求,需要从业人员将文献情报服务、人工智能技术、科技创新场景有机融合;此外,人工智能技术加速推广背景下引发的"信息贫困"等社会问题需要图书情报研究人员关注并开展对策研究。 </p
Public Libraries Positively Impact Quality of Life: A Big Data Study
No full textA big data study examining 10 years of North Carolina public library data found that per capita print book circulation had predictive, positive, and statistically significant relationships with five quality of life factors including a community’s level of educational attainment, per capita and median household income, and number of jobs. Altogether, five public library factors were found to have positive impact on six community quality of life variables. These results support the role libraries serve as community anchors in positively impacting quality of life. The use of predictive analytics and the study’s findings can be used in advocating for the value of public libraries.</p
Analysis of the Situation of the US University Think Tanks -- A Case Study of Ivy League University Think Tanks

The paper explores dozens of the Ivy League think tanks’ missions, personnel, finances and governance and analysis their characteristics through websites, using the Global Go to Think Tank Index Report (TTCSP Report) as an authoritative source of information for selecting think tanks.
The most important characteristic of the Ivy League university think tank is that the policy research of think tank and the discipline construction of university support and promote each other. Besides, this study results show other common features among the Ivy League think tanks, including being rooted in academic research, taking advantage of alumni, and striving to maintain research and operation independence.
This paper first puts forward the criteria for judging whether an institution is a think tank and finds the representative Ivy League think tank on this basis. Then, the article presents typical characteristics of Ivy League think tanks. The next research will focus on exploring the policy influence of think tanks.</p
