Metabolic variations in dairy goat fed with addition of rumen-protected methionine and lysine into the diet
Get PDF[EN] Aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of rumen-protected methionine and lysine (Smartamine ML Filozoo-Rhône Poulenc) added into the diet on the metabolic profile of goats. Forty Maltese dairy goats multiparous (150±15 d of lactation) were divided in two homogeneous groups: “Control” and “Smartamine” (7 g head/d of lysine and 2 g head/d of methionine). Goats were fed with 0.800 kg head/d of concentrate, 1.6 kg head/d of hay and grazing on rotational pastures. Every 30 days, individual blood samples were collected from jugular vein. Data were processed by GLM of SAS. No significant effects on blood parameters of goats were reported. Rumen-protected lysine and methionine determined a decrease of glucose (60.25 and 58.40 mg/dl), total protein (8.76 and 8.55 g/dl), ALT (18.47 and 16.56 U/l) and GGT (25.02 and 21.13 U/l), while NEFA (207.46 and 222.73 μEq/l), creatinine (1.11 and 1.25 mg/dl) and urea (32.93 and 35.89 mg/dl) increased. Ethics in the business use of artificial intelligence: Decathlon’s case
Get PDF[ES] La inteligencia artificial (IA) está transformando el funcionamiento de las empresas en todo el mundo, es capaz de generar beneficios y oportunidades pero también puede desarrollar dilemas éticos y desafíos legales. Este trabajo analiza el uso empresarial de la IA centrándose en su aplicación ética y en las responsabilidades que requiere su implantación. La transformación digital que están sufriendo las empresas al incorporar herramientas basadas en inteligencia artificial en sus estrategias pueden conllevar ventajas muy positivas como aumento del beneficio, mayor eficacia e incluso mejora de la experiencia de los clientes. Sin embargo, sin un marco ético y legal sólido, estas aplicaciones pueden derivar en riesgos importantes como falta de transparencia, inseguridad, desconfianza o sesgos, en los que se profundizará en esta investigación. Existen marcos regulatorios a nivel internacional e indicios a nivel nacional, que tratan de evitar malos usos en este contexto por parte de las empresas y asegurar que se respeten los derechos de las personas. La empresa Decathlon es un ejemplo claro de aplicaciones éticas y responsables de la IA en áreas como el marketing. Gracias a estrategias como la personalización de productos, la automatización de campañas y el análisis predictivo, ha conseguido mejorar la experiencia del cliente. Todo ello siendo fiel a la normativa vigente y dando un uso transparente y responsable de la tecnología, lo que la han convertido en una empresa líder y referente en innovaciones.[EN] Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the way companies operate all over the world, it is able to generate benefits and opportunities, but it can also develop ethical dilemmas and legal challenges. This investigation analyzes the business use of AI, focusing on its ethical applications and the required responsibilities for its implantation. The digital transformation that companies are going through when incorporating AI-based tools on their strategies can result in positive benefits for them like bigger earnings, efficiency and even improvement of their client’s experience. However, without solid ethical and legal frameworks, those incorporations can end in important risks like lack of transparency, insecurity, distrust or biases, issues that will be explored in more detail along the investigation. There are international legal frameworks and emerging national efforts that aim to prevent misuses in this context and ensure that individual rights are respected. The company Decathlon is a clear example of ethical and responsible applications of AI in areas like marketing. Thanks to strategies like product personalization, campaign automatizations and predictive analysis, it has been able to improve their client’s experience. All that has been achieved while adhering to current regulations and ensuring a transparent and responsible use of technology, which has positioned Decathlon as a leading and innovative company in the field
Del Puerto Tradicional al Ecosistema Logístico: Estudio de la Co-Creación de Valor en el Puerto de Róterdam
Get PDF[EN] This project analyzes the Port of Rotterdam as a modern logistics and service ecosystem within the global trade network. Based on the principles of Service-Dominant Logic, the study explores how the port functions as a platform for value co-creation through the integration of maritime and inland transport systems, digital infrastructure, and multi-actor coordination. The research emphasizes the strategic interplay between the port’s foreland and hinterland, highlighting how freight corridors, regionalization strategies, and inland connectivity enhance competitiveness and operational reach. Using the Port of Rotterdam as a case study, the project assesses the economic impact of global trade fluctuations on port activity and regional development, particularly in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond area. Quantitative analysis shows a strong correlation between increases in world trade and port throughput, which in turn stimulates regional GDP growth, as well as highlighting the importance of collaboration between key actors as a critical factor for enabling innovation, efficiency, and sustained value creation across the port ecosystem. The findings show the port’s evolving role from a traditional cargo hub to a dynamic service platform that supports global supply chains, innovation, and regional and global economic performance.[ES] Este proyecto analiza el puerto de Rotterdam como un moderno ecosistema logístico y de servicios dentro de la red comercial mundial. Basándose en los principios de la lógica dominante en los servicios, el estudio explora cómo el puerto funciona como plataforma de cocreación de valor mediante la integración de los sistemas de transporte marítimo y terrestre, la infraestructura digital y la coordinación de múltiples actores. La investigación hace especial énfasis en la interacción estratégica entre el interior y el interior del puerto, destacando cómo los corredores de mercancías, las estrategias de regionalización y la conectividad interior mejoran la competitividad y el alcance operativo. Utilizando el puerto de Rotterdam como caso de estudio, el trabajo evalúa el impacto económico de las fluctuaciones del comercio mundial sobre la actividad portuaria y el desarrollo regional, especialmente en la zona de Rotterdam-Rijnmond. El análisis cuantitativo muestra una fuerte correlación entre el aumento del comercio mundial y el rendimiento portuario, que a su vez estimula el crecimiento del PIB regional, además de destacar la importancia de la colaboración entre los actores clave como factor crítico para permitir la innovación, la eficiencia y la creación sostenida de valor en todo el ecosistema portuario. Los Cuentos de la Cábila2, un conjunto de
narraciones, publicadas en 2000, que poseen un
marcado carácter autobiográfico, ya que giran en
torno a sucesos, personajes y vivencias del autor en
el barrio de Villafranca en el que nació y vivió su
niñez y adolescencia, La Cábila, también llamado
“El Otro Lado”, “el más populista y menestral”,
como lo define el autor en el cuento “El chico de
la Cábila” (TC 2012, págs. 650-652).
Este análisis nos permitirá observar elementos
discursivos, lingüísticos y pragmáticos significativos
de ambos relatos que contribuyen a crear las

Clinical efficiency and influence of ivermectin on some blood serum parameters in sheep naturally infected with gastrointestinal nematodes
Get PDF[EN] In this study, we aimed at researching both the clinical efficiency of ivermectin used in the treatment of sheep naturally infected with gastrointestinal nematodes and it’s influences on some bloods parameters. The study was executed on 80 sheep aged 2-4 years in 200 selected sheep fed aroundthe Esenyurt-Istanbul province. The sheep were divided into 2 groups of 40 control and 40 therapy. Faeces samples have been taken from the rectum of sheep before administrating the drug. The first group was evaluated as control group without being cured. Ivermectin (Ivomec*) was administered at a dose of 0.2mg/kg subcutaneusly twice with 15 days intervals in the other group. Various blood serum parameters (Glucose, urea, creatinine, T.protein, albumin, Ca, P, AST, ALT, ALP, LDH, Na, K, Cl) were determined by taking approximately 7 ml. blood without anticoagulant both before and after administering the drug (40. day) from animals of each group by using Technicon SMA autoanalyzer. It was determined that especially average blood serum (LDH, ALP, AST, P) levels decreased (p<0.01) and albumin level increased (p<0.01) after administering the drug in the cure group. In conclusion it was determined that Ivermectin is highly effective against gastrointestinal nematodes in sheep and that the changes occuring in blood serum parameters due to gastrointestinal nematodiasis returned to normal levels after treatment[TR] Bu çalışmada mide barsak nematodları ile doğal enfekte koyunların tedavisinde

etkilerini incelemeyi amaçladık.
Araştırma Esenyurt-İstanbul çevresinde beslenen 200 adet koyun arasından seçilen 2-4 yaşlarında 80 adet koyun üzerinde yürütüldü. İlaç uygulamasından önce koyunların
rektumundan dışkı alınıp, koyunlar 40 kontrol, 40 sağaltım olmak üzere iki gruba ayrıldı. İlk grup tedavi edilmeksizin kontrol olarak tutuldu. Diğer gruba ise 15 gün arayla iki defa 0.2 mg/kg dozda s.c. yolla Ivermektin (Ivomec*) uygulandı.
Her iki gruptaki hayvanlardan ilaç uygulaması öncesi ve sonrası (40. gün) yaklaşık 7
cc. Antikoagulantsız kan alınıp çeşitli kan serum parametreleri (Glukoz, üre, kreatinin,
T.protein, albumin, Ca, P, AST, ALT, ALP, LDH, Na, K, Cl) Technicon SMA otoanalizer
kullanılarak tespit edildi.
Tedavi grubunda özellikle kan serum LDH, ALP, AST, fosfor ortalama seviyelerinin ilaç uygulama sonrasında düştüğü (p < 0.01); albumin, seviyesinin ise arttığı (p < 0.01)
saptandı.
Sonuç olarak Ivermectin’in koyunlardaki gastrointestinal nematodlara karşı yüksek
derecede etkili olduğu ve gastointestinal nematodiais’e bağlı olarak kan serum parametrelerinde saptanan değişikliklerin tedavi ile birlikte normal olarak kabul edilen
düzeylere ulaştığı sonucuna varıld
Prevalence and distribution of "Sarcocystis spp. in free ranging roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) from Lugo
Get PDF[ES] Se han analizado, mediante el método del compresorio, el esófago, diafragma y corazón de 154 corzos (Capreolus capreolus) capturados en la provincia de Lugo (Noroeste de España). La prevalencia total por Sarcocystis fue del 80,5%, con una intensidad de parasitación de 7,5±16,8 quistes/muestra. No hubo diferencias significativas en la prevalencia hallada en las diferentes musculaturas examinadas; sin embargo, el número de quistes/muestra en el corazón fue significativamente superior que en esófago y diafragma. Al tener en cuenta la distribución de los quistes en el miocardio, la intensidad de infección fue mayor en la parte interna. El 97,3% de los corzos de la reserva de los Ancares estaban infectados por Sarcocystis spp., y este porcentaje (81,1%) fue inferior en los animales procedentes de las otras reservas de la provincia de Lugo; sin embargo no se detectaron diferencias con respecto a la intensidad de parasitación en los corzos de las distintas áreas[EN] The esophagus, diaphragm and heart muscle of 154 roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) hunter-killed in Lugo province (Northwestern Spain) were examined, by the compression method, for the presence of sarcocysts of Sarcocystis spp. The overall prevalence of infection was high (80.5%), with an intensity of infection of 7.5 ± 16.8 sarcocysts/sample. There were no significant differences among the prevalence in the examined organs. However, the intensity of infection in the heart was significantly higher than the esophagus and diaphragm. Considering the location of the sarcocysts in the myocardium, the highest intensity of infection was found in the inner part. The highest overall prevalence was observed in the large reserve at Ancares (97.3%) in comparison to that of smaller reserves (81.1%). The Only 3-Valued Logic Which Is a Natural Implication Expansion with the Variable-Sharing Property of Kleene’s Strong Logic
Get PDF[EN] Let us refer by MK3 to Kleene’s strong 3-valued matrix. An implicative expansion of MK3 is natural if the conditional function defining it verifies modus ponens, assigns a designated value to a conditional whenever it assigns the same value to its antecedent and its consequent, and, finally, it coincides with the classical conditional function when restricted to the “classical” values t and f. Two are the main results of this paper. (1) It is proven that, from the viewpoint of functional strength, there is only one 3-valued natural implication expansion of MK3 with the variable-sharing property, the logic we dub L3^{VSP}.
