Introduction to environmental impact assessment of Ostracods species southeast of the Caspian Sea
The Ostracods of crustacean exist from the shoreline to a depth of about 2,800 meters. Ostracods are more often found in areas such as lakes, streams, rivers, marshes, lagoons, seas and oceans. Because these organisms are found in all ecosystems, freshwater, brackish and marine, it is natural to find their fossils in all these areas. Ostracodes are very important in Paleoecology, especially in the absence of foraminifera. Though the Caspian Sea is salty and bitter and contains thirteen thousand salt per unit, it is still quite sweeter than ocean water. This area is a suitable environment for ostracode life. These creatures are in both benthic and pelagic form, though the latter is rare. Species such as leptocythere alifani, Stenocypria fischeri, cyprideis sp., cyprideis littoralis, loxocnoncha gibboida, loxocnoncha eichwaldii, loxocnoncha emendates, and caspiolla liventali are the most well-known species in the southeastern part of the Caspian Sea. Fractionation comparison of Persian Gulf jellyfish nematocyst venom by two methods of chromatography
In this paper, the nematocyst venom of the crambionella orsini jellyfish was fractionated by sizeexclusion and anion-exchange chromatography. Crambionella orsini is a jellyfish common to the Persian Gulf. The results of the mentioned methods have been investigated. The crambionella orsini’s venom has a hemolytic effect, which is similar to the other species. After the extraction of the nematocyst venom, the crude venom was partially purified using sephadex G-200 gel filtration and DEAE anion exchange chromatography. Protein elution was monitored by UV detection at 28 0nm. To determine the hemolytic fraction, every fraction was injected to 3 mice via their tail vein. Finally, all the data from both chromatography methods were compared. The gel filtrations second fraction and the first and second fractions of the anion exchange chromatography showed hemolytic activity. Determining an appropriate method for the purification of this venom can help find a comprehensive method for other marine venoms, especially jellyfish venoms, and may eventually help find specific antidotes for the stings of jellyfish of these species

According to Venom concentration and its LD50 was determined that Cause of death mice 0.5 ml of venom. The use of Na-EDTA for neutralizing venom. This Chelate Was injected in two ways to mice that in both methods, Prevented death. Assessment of heavy metals contamination in surface sediments of Shoor River estuary, east of Bandar Abbas by using different indexes
Toxicity of trace metals in the environment, bioaccumulation in aquatic environments and in food chains are of great importance.This study concentrates on the distribution patterns of some heavy metals (Pb, Ni, Zn and Fe) in surface sediments of Shoor River estuary. In order to determine the degree of Contamination and environmental quality of region sediments, surface sediment (0-5 cm) samples were collected from 4 stations. At each station, three surface sediment samples were collected and the concentration of heavy metals were measured using a flame Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer; Then indexes such as the Pollution Load Index (PLI) and Potential ecological risk index (RI) for each of the sampling stations and study area applied. The results of PLI represented the low accumulation of studied metals in the surface sediments of the area. Potential ecological risk was also low. The results indicated that Zn and Ni were mainly from anthropogenic discharge, while a significant portion of Pb and Fe were likely from natural inputs. Overall, frequent adverse effects were expected for Ni and occasional adverse biological effects are expected for Zn, whereas for Pb and Fe rare adverse biological effects are expected. Pearson’s correlation indicated that there was positive correlation between Ni, Pb, Fe, TOM and fine grain size (p<0.01). Nevertheless, due to rapid urbanization and industrial development of Bandar Abbas, monitoring of heavy metals contamination in the study area due to its ecological importance is necessary
Tracing and sorting of employee’s need hierarchy of central administration of Hormozgan Port and maritime organization
In this research, the priorites of the employees of the central administration office of Hormozgan’s port and maritime organization have been traced and sorted. The validity and reliability of the questionnaires were obtained and then distributed among the population under study. The number of the research samples was determined by Cochran’s sampling formula. 93 out of the 100 distributed questionnaires had been returned, all of which were acceptable. In order to analysis the questionnaires, some tests had been used, like the T-test, ANOVA test, KMO, Bartlett test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Binomial test, Spearman correlation coefficient and the Goodness of fit test (through software packages such as Excel, Lisrel 8/8, SPSS 19). The conceptual model was evaluated with regards to the criteria of the goodness of fit model, including GFI, AGFI, RMSEA, CFI and NFI. Also, the binomial test and spearman correlation coefficient (that had been verified) were evaluated. The result revealed that among personal specifications (gender, age, marital status, work experience and education), organizational specifications (employment status and work place) and economical specifications (amount of wages and salaries), only education had a different effect on personnel job satisfaction. Finaly, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs was traced for the employees of the Central Administration office of Hormozgans’ Port and Maritime organization, which were Self-actualization (3/72), Physiological (3/69), Social (3/67), Esteem (3/64) and Safety (3/52) respectively
Determination of the ecological status of rocky shores of Hormozgan Province through ecological study of seaweeds
Sampling was done from March 2012 until January 2013 from 7 locations. In this study, a total of 75 species of seaweeds (macroalgea) were identified, 17 of which were green algal species from 9 genera and 6 families; 18 were brown algal species from 7 genera and 4 families; and 40 species were red algae from 18 genera and 11 families. Sampling determined that Lengeh harbor, with 6 species, had the lowest diversity of green algae. Brown algae species diversity at Michael’s location was the highest with 10 species each; and Tahooneh had the lowest amount of species diversity with 5 species. Red algae species diversity at Michael’s location was the the highest with 28 species, and Sayeh Khosh had the lowest diversity with 13 species. The coverage data of macroalgae and the Ecological Evaluation Index indicated a high level of eutrophication for Sayeh Khosh, and Bostaneh. They are classified as zones with a bad and poor ecological status. It was proven that concentrations of biogenic elements and phytoplankton blooming were higher in these zones. The best values of the estimated metrics at Tahooneh and Michael’s could be explained with the good ecological conditions in those zones and the absence of pollution sources close to that transect. The values of the abundance of macroalgae and the Ecological Evaluation Index indicate moderate ecological conditions for Koohin, Lengeh and Chirooieh
Age and growth of the Mesopotamian barb, Capoeta damascina, in central Iran
Age and growth of Mesopotamian barb, Capoeta damascina, were studied in the Zayandehrud River, in central Iran, from March 2007 to April 2008. Among the 689 specimens studied, age groups in males ranged from 1+ to 9+ and that in females ranged from 1+ to 10+. The sex ratio (1 M: 1.6 F) was not significantly different from 1:1 ratio. Maximum fork length and weight was 39 cm and 1.115 g for males and 54.2 cm and 2.340 g for females. In all age classes, females were larger than males. The most frequent age groups were 3+ in males and 4+ in females. The highest value for condition factor was observed in June. The growth of C. damascina was described by von Bertalanffy growth curve as k=0.01, L_∞=56.2 cm, t_0=-0.63 for males and k = 0.05, L_∞=117.1 cm and t_0= -0.43 years for females. The length-weigh relationship was described as W=0.0169L^2.95 (r^2 =0.98) for males and as W=0.0155L2.99 (r^2 =0.99) for females, indicating an isometric growth pattern in both sexes. Growth performance index φ` was estimated as 5.73 for males and 6.53 for females, indicating a faster growth rate in females
Feasibility study of Tehran province water resources for fish production – Phase 1: Salehabad Qanat
This feasibility study carried out in response to request of Tehran Province Fisheries Management, in order to Qanat Salehabad water assessment for aquaculture relataed purposes in Tehran Municipality – Regions 19 & 20. During 6 monthes between May – October 2011 in 3 sampling stations by 3 replicates investigations executed. Physic-chemical, Heavy methals, organochloro-organophosphore pesticides and microbial nominated parameters analysed in reference to Iran national and international standards as well, resulted an overall assessment on quality and quantity of Qanat water for aquaculture purposes. Results expressed station 1 in all studied seasons can be develop for fisheries warmwater applications and in cold seasons (September-March) fisheries coldwater relevant activities can be consider. Stations No 2 & 3 known as infeasible for fisheries applications but would be recommend for agriculture rrigation. According to the results, possibility of developing live fish shopping centers (Cold – warmwatetr fishes) between station 1 and before crossing the Qanat flow and Behesht-e-Zahra freeway is considerable, indeed water rights could be negotiate between Tehran Municipality and Tehran province Fisheries Bureo. Also application of feasible anti microbial filters and other minimum limitation parameters control is necessary before leading Qanat water flow into proposed live fish shop. And suitable septic tank is recommended at the outlet of proposed fisheries units. Monitoring of nominated physic-chemical & microbial parameters during operation of fisheries unites highly recommended
Big bester production probability study
Aquaculture of sturgeon species and their hybrids is being considered as an important substitution for sturgeon catch due to highly decrease of natural populations, artificial propagation and fingerling release in the sea. In this study, big bester, a new hybrid sturgeon (female beluga × male bester) was produced for the first time in IRAN. Sperm of 7350 ± 1682 kg male bester was used to fertilize the eggs of one 54 kg female Huso huso. The fries of big bester and control treatment of beluga were fed by artificial concentrated food (48-50% protein and 15-17% fat) after egg yolk absorbance, a period of feeding on Artemia and Daphnia. Results showed that rearing and feeding of bester broods was efficient to reach the fish to maturation stage and there is an opportunity to collect qualified ova and sperm from F1 generation. Meanwhile sex determination and maturity assessment of gonads were successfully done via laparoscopy method. The comparison of produced big bester fingerlings with control beluga fingerling showed that the weight of big bester fingerlings has not significant difference with beluga's (p0.05), but there are faster growth rate in big bester fingerlings from 3 months of age up to 5 months (p>0.05) in comparison with belugas fingerlings. Meanwhile no statistically significant difference was found between length of big bester and beluga fingerlings among any age. The results of current study showed the potential of rearing male bester to produce matured broods and collection of their sperm for big bester production
Evaluation of the immunity factors (THC, TPP, PO, SOD, POD) of shrimp fed with the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae compared to shrimp fed without yeast
Effects of S. cerevisiae on immune parameters of the L. vannamei after 14 days of S .cerevisiae feeding were evaluated in this study. For this purpose a total of 300 pieces of shrimp with an average weight of 30 to 35 grams were selected from a pool shrimp Abadan CHOEBDEH. After making sure the health, absence of necrosis on the surface of the body, cuts antenna, shrimp were transferred to the center of BANDAR IMAM Research Station. Adaptation was carried out for 3-5 days. After the adaptation, shrimps were screened for virus (WSSV, TSV, MBV, HPV, YHV, BP, IHHNV and IMNV) and vibrio bacteria. After screening shrimps divided to two groups with three replication (including 50 pieces of shrimp in triplicate). The experimental diet has the commercial shrimp composition, but 2 g of S. cerevisiae substituted 2 g of fish meal. Shrimp of first group (T1) for 14 days with food containing nutritional yeast and shrimp in second group (T2) were fed with normal diet without yeast. After 14 days Immune Factors and survival rates in both groups were evaluated. The results showed that the relative survival rate between the two groups showed no significant difference. But Immune Factors (THC, TPP, PO, POD and SOD) in the treatment fed yeast (T1) compared to control treatment (T2) showed a significant increase. In conclusion these results suggest that the increased survival rate and resistance of shrimp after S. cerevisiae consumption occurs through immune modifications, such as increases in THC, TPP, SOD, SOP and PO activity
