Novel variants of diffusive representation of fractional integrals: Construction and numerical computation
In this paper, we revisit the diffusive representations of fractional integrals established
in Diethelm (2023a) to explore novel variants of such representations which provide highly efficient numerical algorithms for the approximate numerical evaluation of fractional integrals
Revisiting diffusive representations for enhanced numerical approximation of fractional integrals
This study reexamines diffusive representations for fractional integrals with the goal of pioneering new variants of such representations. These variants aim to offer highly efficient numerical algorithms for the approximate computation of fractional integrals. The approach seamlessly aligns with established techniques used in addressing problems involving integer-order operators, contributing to a unified framework for numerical solutions
Green or greedy: the relationship between perceived benefits and homeowners' intention to adopt residential low-carbon technologies
Transitioning to a net-zero economy requires a nuanced understanding of homeowners’ decision-making pathways when considering the adoption of Low Carbon Technologies (LCTs). These LCTs present both personal and collective benefits, with positive perceptions critically influencing attitudes and intentions. Our study analyses the relationship between two primary benefits: the household-level financial gain and the broader environmental advantage. Focusing on the German homeowners’ intention to adopt Rooftop Photovoltaic Systems, Energy Efficient Appliances, and Green Electricity Tariffs, we employ Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling to demonstrate that the adoption intention of the LCTs is underpinned by the Theory of Planned Behaviour. Our research also highlights the pivotal role of perceived benefits in shaping attitudes and intentions. Attitudes towards the LCTs are more strongly related to product-specific benefits than affective constructs. In terms of evaluative benefits, environmental benefits exhibit a higher positive association with attitude formation compared to financial benefits. However, this relationship switches as homeowners move through the decision process with the financial benefits of selected LCTs having a consistently higher association with adoption intention. At the same time, financial benefits also positively affect attitudes. Observing this trend across both low- and high-cost LCTs, we recommend that policymakers and businesses enhance homeowners’ awareness of the personal advantages and implement strategies to make these financial benefits more tangible and accessible
Emotion Regulation as triggering and maintaining factor of anxiety and depressive disorder in childhood and adolescence
Depressive and anxiety disorders are widespread among children and adolescents. The present article is devoted to the importance of the emotion regulation ability of the affected persons in this context. It can be revealed that emotion regulation strat-egies that are considered dysfunctional condition the development and mainte-nance of depressive and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. However, specific therapeutic approaches, such as dialectic-behavioral therapy, are effective in positively enhancing the emotion regulation abilities of children and adolescents. Further research, especially for anxiety disorders, should be pursued
Quarterly on Rufugee Problems (3, 3)
This issue covers an Integrated Reading of the Italy-Albanian Protocol and Article 25 of the the Visa Code. It demonstrates the legal disadvantages from formally not considering Asylum Seekers' Benefits Law as part of German Social Law. In a commentary, the potential of a derailed national migration debate to destroy the European Union is illustrated. And the review of jurisdiction sheds light on requested advisory opinion on obligations with respect to climate change including the migratory nexus as well as the ICJ's advisory opinion on the occupation of Palestine territory
Beschwerdemanagement
Time Series Analysis of Multisensor Data for Precision Viticulture
In the context of climate change, vineyard monitoring to better understand spatiotemporal patterns of grapevine development is of utter importance for precision viticulture. We present a time series analysis of hyperspectral in situ and multispectral UAV data for different irrigation systems in Lower Franconia and correlate results with sensor data for soil moisture, temperature, and precipitation. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and a Tukey’s HSD test were performed to see whether Vegetation Indices (VIs) are significantly different with respect to irrigation systems as well as topographic position in the vineyard. Correlation between in situ measurements and UAV data for selected VIs is also investigated for upscaling analysis. We find significant differences with respect to irrigation, as well as for topographic position for most of the VIs investigated, highlighting the importance of adapted water management. Correlation between in situ and UAV data is significant only for some indices (NDVI and CIRedEdge, 2 of 0.33 and 0.49, respectively), while shallow soil moisture patterns correlate well with in situ-derived VIs such as the CIRedEdge and RG index (2 of 0.34 and 0.46)
