No full textTheme. Biography of Leonardo da Vinci with
emphasis on the scientific aspect of his work. The
article is a Spanish version of a brief biography of the
great scientist Leonardo da Vinci. It was written
originally by one of the leading historians of science of
the Twentieth Century, George Sarton. In it the main
facts of Leonardo‘s life are given, the difficulties he
had to face and some problems that his work has.
There is an especial focus on his scientific legacy and
his revolutionary inventions. The essential role of the
manuscripts in the study of his work is stated. There
is a valuable commentary on how Historians make the
History of Art and the History of Science without paying
attention to the creative processes and focusing only
on final results of art and science.Biografía de Leonardo da Vinci con énfasis en el
aspecto científico de su obra. Se presenta, en versión española, un biografía breve del gran científico
Leonardo da Vinci. El original es obra de uno de los
mayores historiadores de la ciencia del siglo XX,
George Sarton. En ella se brindan los datos fundamentales de la vida de Leonardo, las dificultades que
superó y carencias de su trabajo. Hay un énfasis marcado en su legado científico y en sus revolucionarios
inventos. Se muestra el papel esencial que juegan los

Arequipe with fruits, an agro-industrial alternative to increase added values
No full textA research was made taking advantage of the high
acceptation consumers have of the traditional product
known as arequipe, and an added value was given to
it by the addition of natural fruit’s fruits flavor. Our aim
was to develop a new product with the desired
characteristics of taste, odor and color which are the
appropriate for each fruit, without affecting some of
the organoleptic properties of the arequipe, such as
its soft texture and its mellow consistence, which allows
it to be softly sproden on other foods.Se realizó una investigación aprovechando la buena
aceptación por parte de los consumidores de un producto tradicional como el arequipe, al que se le dio
valor agregado con sabores naturales de frutas.
Se buscó desarrollar un producto con atributos deseados de sabor, olor y color característicos de cada
fruta, pero sin que afectara algunas de las propiedades organolépticas propias del arequipe como son:

“humanizing project” can fit and be the main objective
of such development and progress. In this context,
we have the fact that science has moved far from the
world of life, in which the reality of social and individual
beings takes place, progressly becoming an
instrument for isolation and not a way to drive human
beings to their freedom.El artículo pretende mostrar cómo, y a pesar del brillante desarrollo de la ciencia durante el siglo XX, no
se ha podido integrar un concepto de ética, en donde
“un proyecto humanizante” tenga cabida y constituya
el norte de dicho desarrollo y progreso. En este sentido, tenemos que la ciencia se ha alejado del mundo
