    En kvalitativ studie av miljøterapeuters erfaringer i møtet med tilknytningsvansker og deres refleksjoner rundt egen kompetanse

    Hensikten med dette masterprosjektet har vært å undersøke hvordan miljøterapeuter erfarer møtet med tilknytningsvansker og reflekterer rundt egen kompetanse på feltet: (1) «Hva forteller miljøterapeuter på omsorgsinstitusjon om sine møter med ungdom som har tilknytningsvansker?» Og (1.1) «Hvordan snakker miljøterapeuter om egen kompetanse når det gjelder arbeid med tilknytningsvansker?». Studien er kvalitativ og bygger på semistrukturerte intervjuer med fem miljøterapeuter fra to omsorgsinstitusjoner, analysert med tematisk analyse. Analysen identifiserte to hovedtema. Det første, miljøterapeutens tilnærming, viser at miljøterapeutene a) har en emosjonsfokusert tilnærming der faglige rammer er sentrale, b) vektlegger å skape trygghet og forutsigbarhet, som emosjonell støtte og møter avvisende atferd igjennom tilstedeværelse. Det ble praktisert balanse mellom nærhet og avstand, selv om noen var usikre på avstandens verdi. Tidligere omsorgserfaringer og strukturelle forhold kunne påvirke arbeidet. Det siste undertemaet, c) faglig språk i møte med tilknytningsvansker var preget av traumeforståelse, mens tilknytningsteorien opplevdes som rigid. Det andre hovedtemaet, miljøterapeutens evne til selvregulering, viser at miljøterapeutene a) opplevde utfordringer med håndtering av egne emosjoner, og beskrev bruk av noen uheldige selvreguleringsstrategier. Det siste undertema, b) anvendte faglig og emosjonell støtte for å styrke selvreguleringsevnen.     Global Visions, Regional Realities: EU Migration and Asylum Policy in light of the UN Compacts on Migration and Refugees

    This thesis examines the development of the European Union’s migration and asylum policy post-2018, focusing on its alignment and misalignment with the United Nation’s Global Compacts on Migration and Refugees. It explores how EU migration policy have evolved in response to these international frameworks and scrutinizes the extent EU policies in both the internal (relocation policy) and external (third country agreements) dimension align or misalign with the Compacts’ principles of non-discrimination, responsibility sharing and non-regression. Employing a comparative case study approach, the thesis uses document analysis of secondary sources and EU legislative texts, proposals, opinions, and press releases spanning from 2018 to 2023, to compare the development of alignment across time and the two cases. Building on previous research and concepts from liberal intergovernmentalism, such as venue-shopping, failing forward, organized hypocrisy and norm robustness, the thesis elaborates an analytical framework based on the transformative perspective to analyze the development of EU migration policy by exploring the cultural, environmental, and structural factors which could have affected the development. The nuances in the research design and the analytical framework allows for a comprehensive analysis of a much-researched field, but one that has lacked a comprehensive approach capturing the intricate dynamics of EU policy development, and a comparative dimension across different EU policy dimensions. The findings indicate an increasing misalignment between EU migration and asylum and the Compacts after the introduction of the New Pact, across both dimensions. This divergence is exacerbated by a persistent “organized hypocrisy” between the EU’s normative proclamations and practical implementation. The development is explained by external events lowering the cultural threshold for reform, where cultural changes in Member States and EU institutions allows for a more security-oriented and misaligned policy development undermining international solidarity and potentially compromising the rights of migrants and refugees. This analysis contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamics and complexities which shape EU migration policy and offers insight into challenges of aligning regional policies with global standards amidst different Member States’ interests and external incidents and crises.MasteroppgaveSAMPOL350MASV-SAP

    Revving Ownership: A System Dynamics Simulation of Passenger Car Ownership in Canada, China, Norway, and the US

    DNV provides an annual Energy Transition Outlook report alongside country and industry specific reports detailing the future of energy consumption using a System Dynamics (SD) based model. The transportation sector is becoming a larger focus with passenger cars taking particular attention as it is fast becoming one of the largest energy consuming sectors and is already one of the largest greenhouse gas emitting sectors globally. This thesis aims to develop a generic, feedback rich understanding of passenger car ownership as the first step towards DNV’s deeper research into energy consumption in the transportation sector. Using the SD approach, this paper presents a computational model as to how certain human decision-making factors interplay based on more traditional economic and infrastructure drivers with influences from the Theory of Planned Behavior, Theory of Cognitive Dissonance, and Habit. China, Norway, and North America were chosen reference modes due to their unique characteristics and to ensure the model could successfully reflect different country contexts. The model was then analyzed using the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP) framework which provides realistic, theory-based descriptions of the future. The model can reproduce historical data from these countries. The behavioral explanations highlight different causal mechanisms in action to create these reference modes, suggesting that the intention to act, as described by the theories of Planned Behavior and Cognitive Dissonance, plays a significant role in the growth of car ownership. Connecting this to the SSP framework, the model suggests can reflect similar behavioral patterns as described by other SSP-based papers.     Curvatures of measure-preserving diffeomorphism groups of non-orientable surfaces

    We study curvatures of the groups of measure-preserving diffeomorphisms of non-orientable compact surfaces. For the cases of the Klein bottle and the real projective plane we compute curvatures, their asymptotics and the normalised Ricci curvatures in many directions. Extending the approach of Arnold and Lukatskii we provide estimates of weather unpredictability for natural models of trade wind currents on the Klein bottle and the projective plane.publishedVersio

    Examining the Healthiness of Generated Recipes Using Large Language Models

    Denne avhandlingen vurderer den ernæringsmessige kvaliteten på oppskrifter generert av en språkmodell opp mot etablerte helseretningslinjer fra Verdens helseorganisasjon (WHO) og Food Standards Agency (FSA). Ved bruk av standardiserte poengsystemer ble både generelle oppskrifter og oppskrifter tilpas- set spesifikke dietter analysert for å vurdere i hvilken grad de samsvarer med ernæringsanbefalin- gene. Resultatene viser at selv om språkmodeller produserer moderat sunne oppskrifter totalt sett, oppfyller de fleste ikke de strengere ernæringsstandardene, særlig når det gjelder fiber- og mettet fett-innhold for de generelle oppskriftene. Måltidskategorier påvirket helsefaktoren, der desserter og snacks fikk lavest score. Under diettrestriksjoner som vegansk, diabetiker-vennlig og hjerte-vennlig, viste modellen forbedring i å begrense mettet fett, sukker og salt, men slet med å oppnå fullstendig ernæringsmessig balanse. Disse funnene fremhever generatv KIs potensial for tilpasning til ulike diet- ter, men videre ernæringsveiledning er nødvendig for å forbedre helsemessig kvalitet på KI-genererte oppskrifter. Avhandlingen bidrar også med et kuratert datasett med merkede oppskrifter for ˚a støtte fremtidig forskning p˚a helsefokuserte mat-anbefalingssystemer.This thesis evaluates the nutritional quality of recipes generated by a large language model against established health guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food Standards Agency (FSA). Using standardized scoring systems, both general and diet-specific recipe datasets were analyzed to assess alignment with nutritional recommendations. Results show that while large language models produces moderately healthy recipes overall, most fail to meet stricter nutritional standards, particularly in fiber and saturated fat content for the general recipes. Meal categories influenced healthiness, with desserts and snacks scoring lowest. Under dietary restrictions such as vegan, diabetic-friendly, and heart-healthy, the model improved in limiting saturated fat, sugar, and salt but struggled with comprehensive nutrient adequacy. These findings highlight generative AI potential for dietary adaptation, though further nutritional guidance is needed to enhance the healthiness of AI-generated recipes.     SAMURAI-S: Sonic Anemometer on a MUlti-Rotor drone for Atmospheric turbulence Investigation in a Sling load configuration

    This study introduces the SAMURAI-S, a novel measurement system that incorporates a state-of-the-art sonic anemometer combined with a multi-rotor drone in a sling load configuration, designed to overcome the limitations of traditional mast-based observations in terms of spatial flexibility. This system enables the direct measurement of 3D wind vectors while hovering, providing a significant advantage in manoeuvrability and positional accuracy over fixed mast setups. The capabilities of the system were quantified through a series of 10 to 28 min flights, conducting close comparisons of turbulence measurements at altitudes of 30 and 60 m against data from a 60 m tower equipped with research-grade sonic anemometers. The results demonstrate that SAMURAI-S matches the data quality of conventional setups for horizontal wind measurements while slightly overestimating vertical turbulence components.
