Differential Characteristics of Sexual Offences Committed by Minors in Groups Versus Individually
[EN]This study analysed records of sexual offences committed by minor offenders through an examination of the criminological databases of the Spanish Civil Guard between 2015 and 2019. The characteristics of these offences, as well as the profiles of the offenders and their victims, were examined. The results revealed that 19% of these offences were committed by groups of minors. Both group offenders and those who acted alone were predominantly male, with an average age of approximately 15 years, and committed the offences under similar spatial and temporal conditions. Statistically significant differences emerged between the two groups in terms of the types of offences, the involvement of female accomplices, the criminal histories of the offenders, and the age distribution of the victims. This study sheds light on nuanced distinctions within the realm of juvenile sexual offences and underscores the importance of intervention and prevention strategies tailored to the specific characteristics of these offences
Photoelectron Spectroscopy of the Phosphorus Monosulfide (PS) and Phosphorus Monoxide (PO) Radicals
[EN]PO and PS radicals are the smallest units of phosphorus oxides and phosphorus sulfides, respectively, two rich families of refrac-
tory compounds widely employed in industrial and technological applications. These two diatomic radicals are also thought to be
relevant for the phosphorus (P) chemistry in the interstellar medium (ISM). PO is indeed one of the few P-bearing molecules
detected in the ISM, while models also predict a considerable abundance of PS, although its presence in the ISM has not been
confirmed yet. Since P is an essential element for the development of life, understanding its relatively unknown chemistry in the
ISM is essential for astrobiology. The recent detection of PO + in surprisingly high abundance in the ISM also suggests that the
cations are likely to be relevant too for the ISM chemistry of phosphorus. While PO and PO + are relatively well known, experi-
mental data available in the literature for PS are very scarce and its cation PS + is mainly unknown spectroscopically, hindering its
possible detection in the ISM. In this work, we present slow photoelectron spectra of both species generated in situ in a discharge
flow reactor. From these spectra, and with the support of electronic structure calculations, we have determined the adiabatic
ionization energy of both radicals (IEPO = 8.377 ± 0.006 eV, IE PS = 7.904 ± 0.006 eV) and the spin–orbit splitting of the 2Π
ground state of PS (350 ± 34 cm − 1 ). We also show that in the case of PO, the splitting is smaller than 250 cm − 1 . In addition,
relevant information on the vibrational structure of the two cationic ground states is extracted, providing useful spectroscopic data
on the two species which might contribute to the ISM detection of these species, their vibrational bands falling within the spectral
coverage of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST)

Sensing translation through the body: the case of Caroline Bergvall
[EN] The starting point of this article is that we translate not only with our intellect but also with our body, emotions, and senses. Furthermore, translating in this way—intersensorially, by engaging all the senses—is a political act. After numerous developments in translation studies, this article argues that translation is no longer simply the replacement of one word with another. Translators who work through the sensorium ensure that their translations convey not only sound but also the emotions, sensations, and memories experienced through the whole body. Here, translation is understood as the convergence of two bodies, which are not merely portions of space but also settings for contingency: mobile, plural, and unpredictable environments. We translate with the body because the content originates from the body, and because knowledge is created through the union of reason and feeling. Using Caroline Bergvall’s performance writings and incorporating the concept of “atmosphere,” the article illustrates how she approaches multilingualism through physical, multisensory performances.
The Maritime Department of San Blas as an Articulating Node of New Geographic Information on the North Pacific
The aim of this text is to show how the maritime department of San Blas operated as a key centre for geographic and cartographic information and knowledge. This role developed within the framework of its maritime responsibilities linked to explorations along the coast of North America. The department’s officials received materials documenting earlier explorations, which were then compared with records from new expeditions, as well as with information produced by navigators from other crowns who had likewise extended their voyages through the northern Pacific. Reports of various kinds were gathered in San Blas and examined for their potential use in new projects, diplomatic negotiations, and proposals for occupation and defence in the American Northwest during the second half of the eighteenth century.
Exile, Battles, and Divided Loyalties: the Irish Military Diaspora in the Armies of France and England (1691-1700)
The Irish military diaspora, resulting from the defeat of the Jacobite side in the War of the Two Kings (1689-1691) and the Treaty of Limerick, had its main core in the army of Louis XIV. In the context of the Nine Years’ War, in which France faced a coalition of European powers, the Sun King took advantage of the experience of the Irish veterans, who demonstrated their valor on numerous occasions between 1691 and 1697. Although military historiography has extensively explored the trajectories of the Irish regiments in terms of battles in which they participated and their officers, there are still relatively unexplored areas. Two of these, the subject of study, are the experiences of the Irish soldiers serving the French monarch on different European fronts and those who took part in initiatives supported by William III, the king-stadtholder, through various expeditions and campaigns.

Positive and disruptive uses of AI in language teaching: teachers at a crossroads
[EN]The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has sparked a profound debate about its impact on the learning process. While there is general enthusiasm for the possibilities of AI, this study aims to determinehow language teachers use it in their practice, paying special attention to planning and assessment strategies, the disruptive processes that arise in students' skill acquisition and their impact on educational equity. The study employs a purely qualitative methodology based onthe content analysis ofin-depth interviews with teachers from a university department specialising in foreign language teaching. The benefits of using AI are identified, such as effectively generating learning resources and teaching sequences, proposing ideas for classroom workand paying attention to diversity. However, pedagogical and ethical issues affecting teachers and students are also highlighted. Teachers express concern about students using AI because of the type of learning it encourages and its impact on acquiring the knowledge and skills certified by a university degree. The results reveal the progressive transformation of the role of the teacher as an educational mediator. It is concluded thatthe use of AI byteachers and student hasa positive impact on academic performance, though it affects equity and learning outcomes
