Hospital Examination Patient Scheduling Efficiency
Ovaj rad bavi se učinkovitim raspoređivanjem pacijenata na bolničke preglede
koristeći tri različita algoritma: First-Come First-Served, Priority Scheduling i cjelobrojno linearno
programiranje. Cilj istraživanja bio je smanjiti vrijeme čekanja pacijenata i poboljšati učinkovitost
korištenja zdravstvenih resursa. Rezultati su pokazali da je ILP algoritam ostvario najbolje performanse,
smanjivši vrijeme čekanja za 60,46%, dok su FCFS i PS algoritmi postigli smanjenje od 55,66% i 11,92%. U
istraživanju smo koristili tehnologije poput programskog jezika Python i biblioteka kao što su Pandas za
manipulaciju podacima te PuLP za rješavanje problema linearnog programiranja. Ovi alati omogućili su
nam učinkovito modeliranje i analizu problema raspodjele pacijenata, naglašavajući važnost naprednih
algoritama u optimizaciji zdravstvenih sustava.This paper addresses the efficient scheduling of patients for hospital examinations using three
different algorithms: First-Come First-Served, Priority Scheduling, and Integer Linear Programming. The
aim of the research was to reduce patient waiting times and improve the efficiency of healthcare
resource utilization. The results showed that the ILP algorithm achieved the best performance, reducing
waiting time by 60.46%, while the FCFS and PS algorithms achieved reductions of 55.66% and 11.92%. In
this research, we utilized technologies such as the Python programming language and libraries like
Pandas for data manipulation and PuLP for solving linear programming problems. These tools allowed us
to effectively model and analyze the patient scheduling problem, highlighting the importance of
advanced algorithms in optimizing healthcare systems
Chatbot integration in Django REST Framework
Glavni problem ovog završnog rada dijeli se na dva dijela, prvi problem je kreiranje
chatbot sučelje koje pruža sve osnovne funkcionalnosti chatbota poput razgovora, a drugi problem koji
se nadovezuje na prvi je omogućiti njegovo korištenje diljem weba kroz ubacivanje skripte u HTML
dokument. Kako bi se to postiglo bilo je potrebno istražiti teoriju chatbotova, njihove karakteristike i
kako rade, zatim istražiti tržište i provjeriti postoji li slično rješenje. U radu su opisana dva postojeća
chatbota Zoho SalesIQ Zobot i Chatbox koji su najsličniji autorovu rješenju. Nadalje, integracija OpenAI
API-ja s autovorim API-jem je ključan dio u osposobljavanju funkcionalnosti chatbota, također je u radu
opisan princip na koji se generira tekst od strane LLM-ova (engl. Large Language Model). Pred kraj je
opisan arhitekturalni stil weba REST kojeg se bilo potrebno držati tijekom cijele izrade praktičnog dijela
rada, dakako, opisane su krajnje točke web aplikacije na poslužiteljskom dijelu i kompletno sučelje i
arhitektura klijentskog dijela aplikacije. Na poslijetku je zadatak rada u potpunosti izvršen uz mogučnost
unaprijeđenja kompletne aplikacije u pogledu bolje autorizacije korisnika i dizajna sučelja.The main problem of this thesis is divided into two parts. The first problem is creating a
chatbot interface that provides all the basic functionalities of a chatbot, such as conversation. The
second problem, which builds on the first, is enabling its use across the web by embedding a script into
an HTML document. To achieve this, it was necessary to research the theory of chatbots, their
characteristics, and how they work, followed by market research to check for similar solutions. The
thesis describes two existing chatbots, Zoho SalesIQ Zobot and Chatbox, which are most similar to the
author's solution. Furthermore, the integration of the OpenAI API with the author's API is a crucial part
of enabling the chatbot's functionalities. The thesis also describes how text is generated by LLMs (Large
Language Models). Toward the end, the architectural style of the web, REST, is described, which needed
to be followed throughout the practical part of the work. Additionally, the endpoints of the web
application on the server side, along with the complete interface and architecture of the client side of
the application, are described. Finally, the task of the thesis was fully accomplished, with potential
improvements in the overall application regarding better user authorization and interface design
Energy storage using compressed air for application in vehicle propulsion
U ovom diplomskom radu prikazane su osnove rada motora s komprimiranim zrakom
te neke od njihovih prvih primjena do pokušaja integracije u današnja vozila. Opisan je hibridni pogon s
komprimiranim zrakom i motorom s unutarnjim izgaranjem te njegovi načini rada. Napravljeno je
mjerenje na postojećem modelu sustava sa spremnikom energije na komprimirani zrak na FERITu u
Osijeku. Naposlijetku izrađen je blokovski dijagram u programu Matlab/Simulink te su prikazani rezultati
simulacije za najvažnije veličine u obliku tablice u prilogu i vremenskih grafova.In this master's thesis, the basics of compressed air engines are shown alongside some of their
first applications up to attempts at integration into today's vehicles. A hybrid compressed air powertrain
with an internal combustion engine is described with its operation modes. The measurement was made
on the existing model of the system with a compressed air tank at FERIT in Osijek. Finally, a block
diagram was created in the Matlab/Simulink program, and the simulation results for the most important
variables were presented in the form of a table in the attachment and time graphs
Linear sharpened raised-cosine antenna array
Ovaj diplomski rad se bavi dizajnom antenskih nizova s uskim dijagramom zračenja.
Prilikom dizajna linearnih antenskih nizova koriste se metode identične metodama za dizajn digitalnih
FIR filtara, kao što je metoda prozora. Opisana je primjena Dolph-Chebyshevljeva prozora koji se
konstruira uz pomoć Chebyshevovih polinoma. Prozor je definiran tako da njegove bočne latice
odgovaraju dijelu Chebyshevovog polinoma s jednakim oscilacijama. Dodavanje faznog zakreta
omogućava usmjeravanje zraka antenskog niza u željenom pravcu. Nadalje, opisana je metoda za dizajn
oštrih FIR filtara s brzim padom prijenosne karakteristike prema zapornom području primjenom
aproksimacije dijagrama zračenja Fourierovim redom i minimizacijom srednjeg kvadratnog odstupanja
aproksimacije od željenog dijagrama. Navedena metoda se temelji na frekvencijskom odzivu dobivenom
polinomskim izoštravanjem prijelaznog pojasa s funkcijom uzdignutog kosinusa. U ovom radu je
predstavljen opis dizajna FIR filtara s izoštrenim amplitudnim odzivom uzdignutog kosinusa, koja
omogućava izravnu kontrolu prijelaznog pojasa filtra i poboljšava lokalizaciju odziva u vremenu.
Prikazana je primjena ovih filtara u sustavima za maskiranje frekvencijskog odziva, čime se postiže
optimizacija za uske i široke prijelazne pojaseve te preciznije usmjeravanje antenskog niza.This final thesis deals with the design of antenna arrays with a narrow beampattern. When
designing linear antenna arrays, methods identical to those for designing digital FIR filters, such as the
window method, are used. The application of the Dolph-Chebyshev window, which is constructed with
the help of Chebyshev polynomials, is described. The window is defined so that its side lobes correspond
to the part of the Chebyshev polynomial with equal oscillations. Adding a phase shift enables the beam
of the antenna array to be directed in the desired direction. Furthermore, a method is described for the
design of sharp FIR filters with a rapid drop in the transmission characteristic towards the blocking
region by applying the Fourier series approximation of the radiation diagram and minimizing the mean
square deviation of the approximation from the desired diagram. The mentioned method is based on
the frequency response obtained by polynomial sharpening of the transition band with the raised cosine
function. The paper also includes a description of the design of an FIR filter with a sharpened raised
cosine amplitude response, which allows direct control of the filter transition band and improves the
localization of the response in time. The application of these filters in frequency response masking
systems is presented, which achieves optimization for narrow and wide transition bands and more
precise routing of the antenna array
Application of hybrid materials in electrical engineering
Ovaj završni rad istražuje hibridne materijale te njihovu primjenu u elektrotehnici.
Analizira se povijesni razvoj hibridnih materijala, ključna svojstva te njihova podjela. Poseban naglasak
stavljen je na grafenske hibride i njihovu primjenu u suvremenoj tehnologiji. Osim primjene istražuju se
mogućnosti recikliranja i održivost ovih materijala. U zaključku se ističe značaj hibridnih materijala za
budući tehnološki napredak.This final thesis investigates hybrid materials and their application in electrical engineering. The
historical development of hybrid materials, the key properties of their division are analyzed. Special
emphasis is placed on graphic hybrids and their application in modern technology. In addition to the
application, the possibilities of recycling and sustainability of these materials are being investigated. In
conclusion, the importance of hybrid materials for future technological progress is emphasized

sažetak (hrvatski): Osnovna ideja završnog rada je stvoriti web aplikaciju koja omogućava vođenje svih
dijelova restorana na jednostavan i intuitivan način. Približiti korisnika samome restoranu, tako da bude
uključen u rad restorana kako bi se povećala kvaliteta i brzina usluge koji nudi te svim korisnicima
omogućiti jedinstven pristup putem web sučelja jednak za sve korisnike. Ovaj rad pokazuje kako
primjenom tehnologija kao što su Vue.js, Node.js i Firebase izraditi web aplikaciju za vođenje restorana,
ali i druge srodne aplikacije.abstract: Web application for restaurant management The main idea of the final project is to make a
web application that helps manage all parts of a restaurant in an easy and clear way. The goal is to
connect the user with the restaurant, getting them involved in its work to improve the quality and speed
of service, and to give all users the same access through a web interface. This project shows how to use
technologies like Vue.js, Node.js, and Firebase to make a web application for running a restaurant, and
also other similar applications
Industrial installation simulating environment using Unity 3D engine
Simulacije tvorničkih postrojena omogućuju testiranje automatizacije tvorničkih
pogona u virtualnom svijetu. Ove simulacije pružaju korisnicima priliku da identificiraju i otklone
potencijalne probleme, optimiziraju procese te ispitaju različite scenarije bez potrebe za trošenjem
resursa ili prekidanjem rada postrojenja. Tvornička simulacija u ovom projektu izrađena je u Unity
razvojnom okruženju koji se koristi za izradu simulacija i razvoj 2D i 3D video igara. Opisana je izrada
projekta i funkcioniranje simulacije. Korisniku je na raspolaganju baza tvorničkih elemenata koja se
sastoji od pokretnih traka, kutija i stroja za pakiranje kutija. Kroz intuitivni sustav gradnje ovi elementi
mogu se proizvoljno slagati u tvorničke pogone. Za upravljanje simulacijom, osim kroz korisničko sučelje
simulacije, izrađena je i web aplikacija u Angularu.Factory simulations enable testing of production plant automation in a virtual environment.
These simulations allow users to identify and resolve potential issues, optimize processes, and test
different scenarios without spending resources or disrupting actual factory operations. The factory
simulation in this project was created using the Unity game engine, which is used for creating
simulations and developing 2D and 3D video games. The creation of the project and the functioning of
the simulation are described. The user has access to a database of factory elements consisting of
conveyor belts, boxes, and a box packaging machine. These elements can be freely arranged through an
intuitive building system into factory setups. In addition to the simulation user interface, a web
application built with Angular was also developed to manage the simulation
The application of modern mobile technologies in education
U teoretskom dijelu rada opisan je pojam m-učenja. Prikazana je usporedba m-učenja
s e-učenjem i klasičnim učenjem i istaknute su glavne razlike. Prikazane su moguće primjene m-učenja
na različitim razinama edukacije. Pokrivene su glavne odlike i glavni izazovi m-učenja. Navedene su i
dostupne aplikacije za m-učenje te je opisan njihov način rada. U praktičnom dijelu rada predstavljena je
aplikacija Quizzer. Način korištenja i funkcionalnosti su detaljno prikazani pomoću snimki zaslona i
opisom samih funkcionalnosti. Za pregled cijele aplikacije prikazani su dijagrami toka koji prikazuju sve
mogućnosti koje aplikacija nudi. Zaključno, provedeno je istraživanje koje na deset korisnika aplikacije
opisuje zadovoljstvo i iskustvo korištenja aplikacije.The concept of m-learning is described in the theoretical part of the thesis. A comparison of mlearning
with e-learning and classical learning is being presented and the main differences are
highlighted. Possible applications of m-learning on different levels of education are presented. The main
advantages and disadvantages of m-learning are covered. Available applications for m-learning are listed
with description how they work. The application named Quizzer is shown in the practical part of the
thesis. The method of use and functionalities are shown in detail with help of screenshots and a
description of functionalities themselves. To provide an overview of the entire application, flowcharts
are presented, showing all the possibilities the application offers. Finally, research is conducted with ten
users of the application to describe satisfaction and experience using the application
Development of a software solution for the automated production of reports from the z/OS RACF system
U ovom diplomskom radu opisani su sigurnosni standardi koji upućuju organizacije kako
pravilno i efikasno implementirati razne sigurnosne kontrole, kao i postojeća rješenja koja prema
ovim standardima mogu generirati revizorska izvješća. U radu je implementirano programsko
rješenje za automatiziranu proizvodnju sigurnosnih izvještaja o neuspješnim pokušajima pristupa
sustavu i neovlaštenim zahtjevima za pristup resursima sustava koristeći funkcionalnosti koje nudi
središnje računalo i operacijski sustav z/OS . Najvažnije funkcionalnosti i alati ovog OS-a koji su
se koristili kako bi se programsko rješenje uspješno izradilo su zapisi iz SMF-a, programski jezik
PL/I, baza podataka Db2 i transakcijski upravitelj IMS. Prvo je opisana implementacija JCL
zadatka kojim se potrebne tablice baze podataka pune potrebnim informacijama iz SMF
podatkovnih skupova te se implementiralo rješenje PL/I programskim jezikom za ispis izvješća po
potrebi korisnika. U drugom dijelu praktičnog rješenja, implementiran je PL/I program za rad s
IMS transakcijom i sučeljem za ispis izvješća prema potrebnim uvjetima na zahtjev korisnika.This thesis describes the security standards that instruct the organization how to correctly and
effectively implement various security controls, as well as existing solutions that can generate
audit reports according to these standards. The paper implemented a software solution for the
automated production of security reports on unsuccessful attempts to access the system and
unauthorized requests for access to system resources using the functionality offered by the central
computer and the z/OS operating system. The most important functionalities and tools of this OS
that were used to successfully create the software solution are records from SMF, programming
language PL/I, database Db2 and transaction manager IMS. First, the implementation of the JCL
task was described, which required the database tables filled with the necessary information from
the SMF data sets, and the PL/I programming language solution was implemented for printing
reports as needed by the user. In the second part of the practical solution, a PL/I program was
implemented for working with IMS transactions and an interface for printing reports according to
the necessary conditions at the request of the user
Show-model of V8 ICE engine controoled with an embedded computer system
Tema završnog rada „Demonstracijska maketa V8 ICE motora upravljana
mikroračunalnim sustavom“ pruža detaljan uvid u izrađenu maketu koja ilustrira rad motora s
unutarnjim izgaranjem s osam cilindara. U radu se objašnjava definicija V8 motora i teorijski princip
njegovog rada. Budući da je rad uglavnom praktične prirode, teorijski dio opisuje kako će maketa biti
izvedena, uz ilustracije u obliku blok dijagrama. Nakon teorijskog dijela, detaljno je opisano kako je
maketa izrađena, koji je mikroupravljač korišten te na kojem se principu reguliraju komponente koje
pokreću cijelu maketu. Osim sklopovskog rješenja, objašnjeno je kako je pisan programski kod te kojim
redoslijedom mikroračunalo upravlja maketom. Rad također pokriva testiranja i rezultate, opisuje način
na koji je motor testiran te daje objašnjenja rezultata mjerenja.The topic of the final thesis "Demonstration Model of a V8 ICE Engine Controlled by a
Microcomputer System" provides a detailed insight into the created model that illustrates the operation
of an eight-cylinder internal combustion engine. The thesis explains the definition of the V8 engine and
the theoretical principle of its operation. Since the work is mostly practical in nature, the theoretical part
describes how the model will be constructed, with illustrations in the form of block diagrams. After the
theoretical part, the thesis details how the model was constructed, which microcontroller was used, and
the principle by which the components driving the entire model are regulated. Besides the hardware
solution, it explains how the program code was written and the sequence in which the microcomputer
operates the model. The thesis also covers the testing and results, describing how the engine was tested
and providing explanations of the measurement results
