Evaluation strategy for assessment of threats in Croatian karst aquifers
Krški vodonosnici opskrbljuju oko 25% svjetske populacije pitkom vodom i ključan su resurs. Međutim specifična hidrogeološka obilježja čine krške sustave vrlo osjetljivim na onečišćenje. Štoviše, velika povezanost krških ekosustava, nepredvidivo i brzo kretanje onečišćujućih tvari, precrpljivanje vodonosnika, hidrotehnički zahvati i utjecaj klimatskih promjena povećavaju rizik od zagađenja i narušavanja količinskih vrijednosti podzemnih voda. Koncepcijski model u ovom radu razvijen je za procjenu ugroženosti krških vodonosnika s ciljem poboljšanja stanja i upravljanja ciljanim područjima. Ulazni podaci obuhvatili su prirodne značajke, okolišne elemente, onečišćenje i biološke elemente. Procijenjena su koncepcijski različita krška područja Dinarskog krša: špiljski sustav Đula-Medvedica, Blatski vodonosnik na otoku Korčuli, podzemne vode rijeke Krke i Pazinska jama. Procjena i evaluacija različitih tipova ulaznih literaturnih podataka omogućile su prilagodbu modela na različite uvjete krškog okoliša kako bi se definirali najvažniji podatci i ulazne vrijednosti. Pomoću specifičnih koncepcijskih modela bit će uspješnija identifikacija i kvantifikacija okolišnih prijetnji i ekoloških pritisaka na vodonosnike i faunu podzemnih voda. Daljnji razvoj i primjena modela zahtjeva opsežno praćenje ekološkog stanja krškog vodonosnika, odabir indikatora, dugoročni monitoring stigobionata, povećanje okolišnog nadzora u zonama rizika te održive mjere zaštite.Karst aquifers supply around 25% of the world's population with water and therefore represent an important resource. However, due to their specific hydrogeological characteristics, karst aquifers are very susceptible to pollution. With the strong interconnectedness of karst ecosystems, unpredictable and rapid movement of pollutants, the overpumping of aquifers, hydro-technical interventions, and the effects of climate change, karst aquifers are exposed to an increasing risk of pollution and impairment of the quantitative values of groundwater. The conceptual model in this work was developed to assess the threat to karst aquifers and to improve the status and management of the target areas. The input data included natural features, environmental elements, pollution and biological elements. Conceptually different karst areas in the Dinaric karst region were assessed: the Đula-Medvedica cave system, the Blato aquifer on the island of Korčula, the groundwater of the Krka river and the Pazin cave. Assessment and evaluation of different types of input literature data were carried out to adapt the model to four different karst environments and to define the most important data and input values. Using specific conceptual models, the identification and quantification of environmental threats, and ecological pressures on aquifers and groundwater fauna will be more successful. Further development and application of the model require large-scale protection measures of the ecological status of the karst aquifer, the selection of indicators, long-term monitoring of stygobionts, an environmental assessment of the increasing risk zones and sustainable protection measures
Vanadium in the environment
Rad prikazuje raspodjelu vanadija (V) u geološkim i biološkim uzorcima te njegova geokemijska obilježja u kontekstu onečišćenja okoliša. Budući da je vanadij potencijalno toksičan po živi svijet, rad se bavi i njegovom raspodjelom u zraku, tlu i vodi. Detaljno je predstavljeno istraživanje onečišćenja okoliša vanadijem na primjeru lokaliteta u Raši (istočna obala Istre) gdje su do prije 20 godina bili smješteni Istarski ugljenokopi Raša. Dotični raški ugljen ima i u svjetskim razmjerima neobično visoke koncentracije sumpora, vanadija i nekih drugih potencijalno toksičnih elemenata, kao što su selenij, uranij i molibden. Tamošnji okoliš je izvrstan lokalitet za multidisciplinarna istraživanja okolišnih aspekata navedenih kemijskih elemenata.The paper shows the distribution of vanadium (V) in geological and biological samples and its geochemical characteristics in the context of environmental pollution. Since vanadium is potentially toxic to living things, the paper also presents its distribution in air, soil and water. Research on environmental pollution with vanadium is presented in detail on the example of the locality in Raša (east coast of Istria), where the Istrian coal mines of Raša were located until 20 years ago. The coal in question has unusually high concentrations of sulfur, vanadium and some other potentially toxic elements, such as selenium, uranium and molybdenum, even on a global scale. The environment there is an excellent site for multidisciplinary research into the environmental aspects of the mentioned chemical elements
Students opinions on the prevalence of beta-hemolytic streptococci in general population
Beta-hemolitički streptokoki (BHS) su skupina bakterija koja na krvnom agaru vrši potpunu hemolizu eritrocita te uzrokuju mnoge bolesti poput gnojne upale grle, šarlaha, impetiga ili apscesa mozga. Prema Lancefield klasifikaciji, tu spada grupa A koju predstavlja Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae iz grupe B, Streptococcus dysgalactiae ssp. equsimilis iz skupina C i G te skupina Streptococcus anginosus s nekoliko vrsta skupine F, A, C i G te oni netipabilni. Sve se vrste mogu pronaći u ždrijelu čovjeka, osim S. agalactiae. Asimptomatski nositelj (kliconoša) je osoba kod koje ne dolazi do vidljive pojave simptoma bolesti, ali može prenijeti uzročnika te bolesti na drugu osobu. Kod kliconoše postoji infekcija, ali ona je subkliničke slike, odnosno neprimjetna je. Kliconoštvo za BHS može se naći u nazofarinksu, orofarinksu ili perinealnoj regiji. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati stavove i znanje studenata o problematici BHS te provjeriti može li edukacija i uzimanje briseva imati pozitivan učinak na isto. Napravljena je i epidemiološka slika ispitanika gdje je udio asimptomatskih nositelja beta-hemolitičkih streptokoka iznosio 11,58 %. Nadalje, rezultati su potvrdili da čak i kratka edukacija te uzimanje briseva imaju statistički značajan pozitivan učinak na poznavanje problematike beta-hemolitičkih streptokoka i kliconoštva. Nakon edukacije, uočena je i promjena stajališta ispitanika prema ovoj važnoj problematici javnog zdravstva.Beta-hemolytic streptococci (BHS) are a group of bacteria that show complete hemolysis of erythrocytes on blood agar and cause many diseases such as pharyngitis, scarlet fever, impetigo and brain abscess. According to the Lancefield classification, this includes group A represented by Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae from group B, Streptococcus dysgalactiae ssp. equsimilis from groups C and G and group Streptococcus anginosus with several species of groups F, A, C and G and those incompatible. All species can be found in the human pharynx except S. agalactiae. An asymptomatic carrier is a person who does not show symptoms of the disease but can transmit the cause of the disease to another person. The carrier has an infection, but it is subclinical, i.e., it is imperceptible. BHS can be found in the nasopharynx, oropharynx, or perineal region. The aim of this research was to examine the attitudes and knowledge of students about BHS and to check whether education and swabs can have a positive effect on it. An epidemiological study of the subjects was also made, where the share of asymptomatic carriers of beta-hemolytic streptococci was 11.58%. Furthermore, the results confirmed that even a short education and swabbing have a statistically significant positive effect on knowledge of beta-hemolytic streptococci and asymptomatic carriers. After the education, a change of attitude towards this important issue of public health was noticed
The influence of image and video presentation on the outcome of teaching about the menstrual cycle
U dosadašnjim je istraživanjima pokazano kako kod srednjoškolskih učenika postoje brojne
miskoncepcije o menstrualnom ciklusu, posebno pri određivanju dana ovulacije, a pokazano je i
kako je upotreba dobrog i kvalitetnog slikovnog prikaza od presudne važnosti za njihovo
uklanjanje. Današnje moderne generacije naviknute su na brz pristup informacijama i vizualizaciju
istih, stoga bi tome trebalo prilagoditi i nastavni proces, odnosno modernizirati ga u svrhu
približavanja istog učenicima. Jedan je od načina modernizacije i uključivanje video zapisa u
nastavni proces. Cilj je ovog istraživanja ustanoviti kakav učinak ima jednostavan video zapis u
odnosu na kvalitetan i odgovarajući slikovni prikaz na usvajanje činjenica i koncepata o
menstruacijskom ciklusu, konkretnije određivanju dana ovulacije. Istraživanje je provedeno na
uzorku od ukupno 133 učenika triju zagrebačkih gimnazija različitih programa – općem,
prirodoslovnom i prirodoslovno – matematičkom. Analizirani su rezultati triju anketa provedenih
netom prije obrade, nakon obrade te s odmakom od otprilike tri mjeseca nakon obrade nastavne
jedinice. Osim toga, nastavnici i učenici anketirani su u svrhu otkrivanja njihovih preferencija,
odnosno utvrđivanja atraktivnosti korištenih materijala. Rezultati pokazuju kako postoji razlika u
učinku materijala na određivanje dana ovulacije iako ona nije uvijek statistički značajna, ali postoji
značajna razlika u učeničkim, ali i nastavničkim preferencijama prema njima.Research carried out so far has shown that high school students have numerous misconceptions
about the menstrual cycle, especially when it comes to determining ovulation days, and it has also
been shown that using a good and quality pictorial representation is of key importance for
dispelling those misconceptions. Today’s modern generations are used to a quick access to
information and their visualisation, hence the teaching process should be adapted to this, i.e.
modernised in order to bring it closer to the students. One way of modernising it is also to
incorporate video materials into the teaching process. The aim of this research is to determine what
impact a simple video in comparison to a pictorial representation has on learning facts and concepts
related to the menstrual cycle, more precisely determining the ovulation days. The research was
conducted on a sample of 133 students from three schools in Zagreb with different programmes –
general education, natural sciences and natural sciences and mathematics. The results of three
surveys were analysed just before their processing, after their processing and with a time lag of
approximately three months after covering the lesson. Furthermore, students and teachers were
surveyed with the aim of detecting their preferences, i.e. determining the attractiveness of the
materials used. The results show that there is a difference in the impact of the materials on
determining the ovulation days, albeit not always statistically significant; however, there is a
significant difference in the students’ and also teachers’ preferences between them
Characterization of nabumetone and β-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes using NMR spectroscopy
Nabumeton je protuupalni lijek II. skupine biofarmaceutskog sustava klasifikacije djelatnih
tvari budući da ga karakterizira izuzetno niska topljivost u vodi koja uzrokuje njegovu
ograničenu bioraspoloživost. Topljivost u vodi može se povećati kompleksiranjem s
ciklodekstrinima. Molekule ciklodekstrina imaju jedinstvenu strukturu sličnu krnjem stošcu, s
hidrofobnom šupljinom s unutrašnje strane i hidrofilnom površinom s vanjske strane,
zahvaljujući kojoj mogu tvoriti inkluzijske komplekse s različitim molekulama gostiju.
Inkluzijski kompleksi nastaju pomoću hidrofobnih interakcija između molekula gostiju i
ciklodekstrinske hidrofobne šupljine. U ovom radu istražen je mehanizam ulaska nabumetona
u šupljinu β-ciklodekstrina i stvaranje inkluzijskog kompleksa. Za karakterizaciju korištene
su tehnike spektroskopije nuklearne magnetske rezonancije (NMR) za istraživanje strukture
(1H, 13C, COSY, HSQCe, HMBC), kao i one kojima se ispituju interakcije između različitih
molekula u otopini (NOESY, ROESY, DOSY). U diplomskom radu dokazano je stvaranje
inkluzijskog kompleksa i posljedično povećanje topljivosti nabumetona u vodi.Nabumetone is an anti-inflammatory drug belonging to 2nd group of the biopharmaceutical
active substances classification system due to extremly low solubility in water, which is the
cause of its limited bioavailability. The solubility in water can be increased by creating
complexes with cyclodextrins. These molecules have a unique frusto-conical structure with a
hydrophobic cavity and a hydrophilic surface, enabling them to form inclusion complexes
with different guest molecules. The formation of inclusion complexes occurs through
hydrophobic interactions between guest molecules and the cyclodextrin hydrophobic cavity.
In this study, the mehanism of nabumetone inclusion into β-cyclodextrin was researched. To
characterize the nabumetone/β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex, nuclear magnetic resonance
spectroscopy (NMR) techniques for structural research (1H, 13C, COSY, HSQCe, HMBC), as
well as those that examine interactions between different molecules (NOESY, ROESY,
DOSY) were used. In this study, the formation of inclusion complex between β-cyclodextrin
and nabumetone was established, resulting in increased water solubility of the drug
Sociability of Dalmatian wall lizard (Podarcis melisellensis) and Italian wall lizard (Podarcis siculus) populations measured using the social choice test
Rod Podarcis je skupina gušterica koja se razvila i evoluirala na području Sredozemlja. Gušterice
imaju važnu ekološku ulogu, a zbog velike taksonomske i ekološke raznolikosti pogodne su za
evolucijska i bihevioralna istraživanja. Krška gušterica (Podarcis melisellensis) je autohtona vrsta
obalnog područja Hrvatske, dok je primorska gušterica (Podarcis siculus) oportunistička vrsta koja
može uspješno nadvladati autohtone vrste gušterica. Socijabilnost čini jednu od 5 glavnih
kategorija osobnosti, a definira se kao reakcija organizma na prisutnost ili odsutnost konspecifika.
Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti razlike u socijabilnosti primorske i krške gušterice. Istraživanje je
provedeno na 60 mužjaka i 60 ženki – ukupno 120 jedinki, s tri različite lokacije (Knin, Sinj, Pag).
Istraživanje je provedeno tri-komornim testom socijalnog odabira kojim je mjereno nekoliko
varijabli, a najbitnije su vrijeme koje je jedinka provela u komori s praznim kavezom, vrijeme koje
je jedinka provela u sredini i vrijeme koje je jedinka provela u komori, te uz kavez sa
konspecifikom. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da je primorska gušterica značajno socijabilnija
od krške gušterice. Između spolova, unutar vrste, nisu pronađene značajne razlike.The genus Podarcis is a group of lizards that evolved in the Mediterranean area. Lizards play an
important ecological role, and due to their great taxonomic and ecological diversity, they are
suitable for evolutionary and behavioral research. Dalmatian wall lizard is an autochthonous
species of the coastal area of Croatia, while the Italian wall lizard is an opportunistic species that
can successfully outcompete autochthonous lizard species. Sociability is one of the five main
categories of personality. It is defined as the reaction of an individual to the presence or absence of
conspecifics. This study aimed to investigate the differences in the sociability of the Dalmatian
wall lizard and Italian wall lizard. The research was carried out on 60 males and 60 females - a
total of 120 individuals, from three different locations (Knin, Sinj, Pag). The research was
conducted by a three-chamber social selection test which measured several variables: the
cumulative time the individual spent in the chamber with an empty cage, the cumulative time the
individual spent in the middle chamber, and the cumulative time the individual spent in the chamber
with the conspecific. The results of the research have shown that the Italian wall lizard is
significantly more sociable than the Dalmatian wall lizard. No significant difference was found
between the sexes, within the species
Tetrahedral coordination compounds CoX2L (X=Cl, Br and I) as halogen bond acceptors in metal-organic cocrystals
U ovom diplomskom radu ispitana je mogućnost kokristalizacije koordinacijskih spojeva vrste
CoX2L (gdje je X = Cl, Br ili I, a L = 6,6'-dimetil-2,2'-bipiridin) i perhalogeniranih donora
halogenske veze, s ciljem izučavanja mogućnosti nastajanja kokristala s metaloorganskom
podjedinicom te uspoređivanja akceptorskog potencijala halogenidnih iona koordiniranih na
metalni centar za ostvarivanje halogenske veze. Mehanokemijskom sintezom i kristalizacijom
iz otopine priređeno je sedam novih kokristala koji su okarakterizirani difrakcijom
rendgenskoga zračenja na praškastom uzorku, difrakcijom rendgenskoga zračenja u jediničnom
kristalu i termogravimetrijskom analizom. U svim strukturno okarakteriziranim kokristalima
utvrđeno je kako je halogenska veza Co−X···I (X = Cl, Br ili I) dominantna međumolekulska
interakcija koja se ostvaruje između atoma joda perhalogeniranog spoja kao donora halogenske
veze i halogenidnog liganda koordinacijskog spoja kobalta(II) kao akceptora halogenske veze.
Pokazano je i da se korištenjem perhalogeniranih donora različite topičnosti i geometrije može
ugađati supramolekulska arhitektura i termička stabilnost dobivenih produkata.Within this master thesis, the possibility of cocrystallization of coordination compound CoX2L
(X = Cl, Br or I, L = 6,6'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine) and perhalogenated halogen bond donors
was examined, with the aim of studying the plausibility of cocrystal formation with a metalorganic subunit and comparing the ability of the halide ions coordinated to the Co(II) metal
center to act as a halogen bond acceptor. Seven new cocrystals were synthesized by
mechanochemical synthesis and crystallization from solution. The obtained products were
characterized by powder and single crystal X-ray diffraction, and by thermogravimetric
analysis. Structural analysis of the cocrystals revealed that the dominant supramolecular
interactions are Co−X···I halogen bonds (X = Cl, Br or I) formed between the iodine atom of
the halogen bond donor and the halogen ligand of the cobalt(II) coordination compound as a
halogen bond acceptor. The results of this study also demonstrate the possibility of altering
supramolecular architectures and thermal stabilities of the products by utilizing donors
featuring different geometries and topicities
Therapeutic potential of resveratrol and cisplatin on mouse tumor growth in hyperthermal conditions
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je istražiti terapeutski potencijal resveratrola u kombinaciji s cisplatinom
na rast tumora u hipertermalnim uvjetima u miša, odnosno djelovanje ove kombinacije na inhibiciju
angiogeneze i rasta tumora te na polarizaciju makrofaga. Uz to, istraženo je može li višemodalni
pristup s hipertermijom i resveratrolom dokinuti otpornost tumorskih stanica na cisplatinu kroz
modulaciju aktivnosti histonskih deacetilaza (HDAC) i proteina toplinskog stresa te tako
doprinijeti izravnoj toksičnosti na tumorske stanice. Tumor je izazvan injiciranjem 1×106
stanica
EAT subkutano (sc) u bedro miševima soja Swiss albino. Miševi su obrađeni davanjem resveratrola
per os (po) u dozi od 50 mg/kg tijekom pet dana u nizu s početkom 2. dana od injiciranja tumora
i/ili cisplatinom koja je injicirana intaperitonealno (ip) u dozama od 2,5 mg/kg 10. i 12. dan te 5
mg/kg 15. dan. Neposredno nakon obrade miševi su izloženi sustavnoj hipertermiji tijekom 15
minuta pri temperaturi od 41 °C. Rezultati pokazuju da primjena resveratrola i cisplatine s
hipertermijom jest učinkovit pristup u terapiji tumora. Uspješno inhibira angiogenezu i rast tumora
te modulira polarizaciju makrofaga prema fenotipu M1. Također, dokida otpornost tumorskih
stanica na cisplatinu kroz modulaciju aktivnosti HDAC-a i razine šaperona HSP-70 i HSP-90 te
tako doprinosi povećanju životnog vijeka miševa.The aim of this study was to investigate the therapeutic potential of resveratrol in combination with
cisplatin on mouse tumor growth in hyperthermal conditions, i.e. the effect of this combination on
inhibition of angiogenesis and tumor development, and on macrophage polarization. In addition, it
was investigated whether a multimodal approach with hyperthermia and resveratrol could abolish
cisplatin resistance in tumor cells through modulation of histone deacetylases (HDAC) activity and
heat shock proteins, contributing to direct toxicity on tumor cells. The tumor was induced by
injecting 1×106 EAT cells subcutaneously (sc) into the thighs of Swiss albino mice. Mice were
treated with resveratrol per os for five consecutive days beginning on day 2 after tumor injection
and/or by injecting cisplatin intraperitoneally (ip) at a dose of 2.5 mg/kg on days 10 and 12 and a
dose of 5 mg/kg on day 15. Immediately thereafter, mice were exposed to systematic hyperthermia
for 15 min at a temperature of 41 °C. Results show that the administration of resveratrol and
cisplatin with hyperthermia is an effective approach in tumor therapy. It successfully inhibits
angiogenesis and tumor growth and modulates macrophage polarization to the M1 phenotype.
Also, it abolishes tumor cells' cisplatin resistance through modulation of HDAC activity and
concentration of HSP-70 and HSP-90 chaperones, contributing to the increased lifespan of mice
Spatial differentiation of the provision of transport infrastructure elements surrounding educational, health and social welfare institutions in the City of Koprivnica
Promet se može definirati kao kretanje ljudi, dobara i energije te prijenos informacija s jednog mjesta na drugo, a ta su kretanja oduvijek bila neizostavna komponenta društva. Institucije odgoja i obrazovanja, zdravstva te socijalne skrbi smatraju se jednima od temeljnih usluga svakog društva kojima svaka osoba mora imati pravo pristupa, a taj se pristup ostvaruje upravo preko prometa. U ovom radu istražene su prostorne razlike u opremljenosti elementima prometne infrastrukture u okolici odgojno-obrazovnih, zdravstvenih i ustanova socijalne skrbi u Gradu Koprivnici. Proučavane su kroz elemente sigurnosti, javnog prijevoza, infrastrukture i mobilnosti koji su vrednovani i prikazani kroz kartografske prikaze. Cilj ovog istraživanja jest ukazati na stanje i razliku u opremljenosti elementima prometne infrastrukture oko odgojno-obrazovnih, zdravstvenih i institucija socijalne skrbi diljem Grada Koprivnice, međusobno ih usporediti, usporediti ih po njihovom položaju unutar Koprivnice te dati prijedloge poboljšanja trenutnog stanja. Istraživanjem je utvrđeno da postoji prostorna razlika između institucija po razini opremljenosti navedenim elementima te da postoji blaga razlika u opremljenosti s obzirom na vrstu institucije pri čemu su najbolje opremljene institucije socijalne skrbi.Transportation can be defined as the movement of people, goods and energy and the transfer of information from one place to another, and these movements have always been an indispensable component of society. Institutions of education, healthcare and social welfare are considered to be one of the fundamental services of every society, to which every person must have the right to access, and this access is achieved precisely through transportation. In this paper, spatial differences in the provision of transport infrastructure elements in the vicinity of educational, health and social welfare institutions in the City of Koprivnica were investigated. They were studied through the elements of security, public transport, infrastructure and mobility, which were evaluated and presented through cartographic representations. The goal of this research is to indicate the state and difference in the provision of transport infrastructure elements around educational, health and social welfare institutions throughout the City of Koprivnica, to compare them with each other, to compare them according to their position within Koprivnica, and to make suggestions for improving the current situation. The research established that there is a spatial difference between the institutions in terms of the level of provision with the mentioned elements, and that there is a slight difference in provision regarding the type of institution, with social welfare institutions being the best equipped
Surface properties and dissolution of fluorite
Kinetika otapanja (100), (110) i (111) plohe fluorita u vodi praćena je potenciometrijski mjerenjem koncentracije Ca2+, F– i H+ iona u otopini ion-selektivnim elektrodama tijekom 84 dana otapanja. Tenziometrijom i mikroskopom atomskih sila praćen je utjecaj otapanja na promjenu močivosti površine i topografiju (100), (110) i (111) ploha fluorita mjerenjem kontaktnog kuta i faktora hrapavosti prije i nakon otapanja. Površinski potencijal (100), (110) i (111) plohe monokristala fluorita tijekom 24 sata otapanja mjeren je fluoritnim monokristalnim elektrodama, a elektrokinetički potencijal nanočestica fluorita tijekom 37 dana otapanja određen je mjerenjem elektroforetske pokretljivosti nanočestica fluorita. Istražen je i utjecaj H+, OH–, F– i Ca2+ iona na elektrokinetički potencijal nanočestica fluorita. Metodama statičkog i dinamičkog raspršenja svjetlosti određen je hidrodinamički promjer i promjer giracije nanočestica fluorita. Određeni su koeficijenti brzine difuzije iona u otopinu za (100), (110) i (111) plohu te iznose: 0,005 s–1
; 0,045 s–1 i 0,03 s–1.Ion selective electrodes were used to study dissolution kinetics of (100), (110) and (111) fluorite crystallographic planes by measuring Ca2+, F– and H+ ion concentration in the solution. Tensiometry and atomic force microscopy were employed for measuring dissolution impact on contact angle and surface roughness of specified fluorite crystallographic planes. Surface potential change of mentioned fluorite crystallographic planes during 24 hours of dissolution was investigated using a single crystal electrode. The electrokinetic potential of fluorite nanoparticles during dissolution was determined by measuring electrophoretic mobility. The influence of H+, OH–, F– i Ca2+ ions on the electrokinetic potential of fluorite nanoparticles was also investigated. The hydrodynamic diameter and diameter of gyration of fluorite nanoparticles were determined using static and dynamic light scattering methods. The ion diffusion rate coefficients in the solution for (100), (110) and (111) planes were obtained: 0.005 s–1, 0.045 s–1 and 0.03 s–1 respectively
