A Review in E-Government Service Quality Measurement
Governments are responsible for providing services to the public easily, efficiently, therefore they introduced electronic government as a way to minimize costs, enhance services, save time and augment performance and efficacy in the public sector. E-service Quality is one of the critical issues in the failure or success of e-government projects. It promotes the efficiency and effectiveness of governments and the relationships with users and enhances their satisfactions. Measurement of e-service quality is a complex process because it depends on citizens’ perception that is difficult to be realized and measured. This paper aims to review scales measurement of e- government services quality that providing an evaluating scale based on defining the significant e- service quality dimensions. These dimensions cover important e-services requirements to enhance e-service quality
On the Review and Setup of Security Audit using Kali Linux
The massive development of technology especially in computers, mobile devices, and networking has bring security issue forward as primarily concern. The computers and mobile devices connected to Internet are exposed to numerous threats and exploits. With the utilization of penetration testing, vulnerabilities of a system can be identified and simulated attack can be launched to determine how severe the vulnerabilities are. This paper reviewed some of the security concepts, including penetration testing, security analysis, and security audit. On the other hand, Kali Linux is the most popular penetration testing and security audit platform with advanced tools to detect any vulnerabilities uncovered in the target machine. For this purpose, Kali Linux setup and installation will be described in more details. Moreover, a method to install vulnerable server was also presented. Further research including simulated attacks to vulnerable server on both web and firewall system will be conducted
Effective Sampling-Based Assessment Method for Evaluating Electrical Engineering Programme Performance
Challenges in the conventional way of measuring programme outcome include large data sets to be processed, a large amount of manpower, operating cost increment and time consuming. A sampling-based approach to evaluate the performance of a programme is proposed and a mathematical model is developed to determine the overall programme outcome score. The criteria for course selection and percentage of students considered in the assessment, was designed to accelerate the process. The results obtained from the implementation of sampling based approach in the assessment have shown that the programme is successful and the students have achieved the required knowledge and skills. The sampling-based approach is capable of demonstrating the programme and the students’ achievement
Cross Layer Solution for Energy and Delay Optimization in MANETs
A novel method for packet forwarding in MANETs has been proposed in this paper. A node in the network acts as both host and router. Energy utilization of the node increases as all nodes in MANET operate as source, destination, and router to forward packets to the next hop ultimately to reach destination. Routers execute a variety of functions from simple packet classification for forwarding to complex payload revision. As the number of tasks and complexity increases, processing time required also increases resulting in significant processing delay in routers. The proposed work optimizes packet header at transport and network layer by calculating Unique Identifier using pairing function for the fields which do not change for a source–destination pair. This technique optimizes the processing cost of each packet header thereby conserving energy and reducing delay. It also simplifies the task of system administration. This paper elucidates an extension to basic AODV protocol, allowing routing of most packets without an explicit header, reducing the overhead of the protocol while still conserving its basic properties. The proposed method improves the network performance significantly compared to AODV, MTPR, and S-AODV protocol.
Analysis Model in the Cloud Optimization Consumption In Pricing the Internet Bandwidth
The problem of internet pricing is a problem that is often a major problem in optimization. In this study, the internet pricing scheme focuses on optimizing the use of bandwidth consumption. This research utilizes modification of cloud model in finding optimal solution in network. Cloud computing is computational model which is like network, server, storage and service that is utilizing internet connection. As ISP's Internet service provider requires appropriate pricing schemes in order to maximize revenue and provide quality of service (Quality on Service) or QoS so as to satisfy internet users or users. The model used will be completed with the help of LINGO software program to get optimal solution and accurate result. Based on the optimal solution obtained from the modification of the cloud model can be utilized ISP to maximize revenue and provide services in accordance with needs and requests
Comparison Analysis of Gait Classification For Human Motion Identification using Embedded Computer
In this paper, it will be discussed about comparison between two kind of classification methods in order to improve security system based of human gait. Gait is one of biometric methods which can be used to identify person. K-Nearest Neighbour has parallelly implemented with Support Vector Machine for classifying human gait in same basic system. Generally, system has been built using Histogram and Principal Component Analysis for gait detection and its feature extraction. Then, the result is show that K-Nearest Neighbour is slower in processing and less accurate than Support Vector Machine in gait classification
HOPX Crossover Operator for the Fixed Charge Logistic Model with Priority Based Encoding
In this paper, we are interested to an important Logistic problem modelised us optimization problem. It is the fixed charge transportation problem (FCTP) where the aim is to find the optimal solution which minimizes the objective function containig two costs, variable costs proportional to the amount shipped and fixed cost regardless of the quantity transported. To solve this kind of problem, metaheuristics and evolutionary methods should be applied. Genetic algorithms (GAs) seem to be one of such hopeful approaches which is based both on probability operators (Crossover and mutation) responsible for widen the solution space. The different characteristics of those operators influence on the performance and the quality of the genetic algorithm. In order to improve the performance of the GA to solve the FCTP, we propose a new adapted crossover operator called HOPX with the priority-based encoding by hybridizing the characteristic of the two most performent operators, the Order Crossover (OX) and Position-based crossover (PX). Numerical results are presented and discussed for several instances showing the performance of the developed approach to obtain optimal solution in reduced time in comparison to GAs with other crossover operators.
Error-correcting Coding Usage for Data Transmission Through Power Lines
A concept of data transmission within downhole telemetry systems in oilfield industry through power lines is presented. Based on this concept, MATLAB/Simulink models simulating communication lines in downhole telemetry systems are built, which can be used as prototypes for development of real systems. The most appropriate signal modulation methods for data transmission in downhole telemetry systems are suggested and discussed. The influence of high-voltage interference on signal transmission through power line from downhole unit to ground based unit is simulated. Usage of error-correcting coding methods for data transmission such as Hamming code, Reed-Solomon code, BCH code is suggested, and its efficiency is demonstrated

Optimization of PV Systems Using Data Mining and Regression Learner MPPT Techniques
Supervised machine learning techniques such as artificial neural network (ANN) and ANFIS are powerful tools used to track the maximum power point (MPPT) in photovoltaic systems. However, these offline MPPT techniques still require large and accurate training data sets for successful tracking. This paper presents an innovative use of rational quadratic gaussian process regression (RQGPR) technique to generate the large and very accurate training data required for MPPT task. To confirm the effectiveness of the RQGPR technique, the combination of ANN and RQGPR as ANN-RQGPR technique results were compared with the conventional ANN technique results, and that of combined ANN and linear support vector machine regression as ANN-LSVM technique results under different weather conditions. Results show that ANN-RQGPR technique produced the overall best result and with an improved performance.
