ARM Controller and EEG based Drowsiness Tracking and Controlling during Driving
This paper discussed about EEG-Based Drowsiness Tracking during Distracted Driving based on Brain computer interfaces (BCI). BCIs are systems that can bypass conventional channels of communication (i.e., muscles and thoughts) to provide direct communication and control between the human brain and physical devices by translating different patterns of brain activity commands through controller device in real time. With these signals from brain in mat lab signals spectrum analyzed and estimates driver concentration and meditation conditions. If there is any nearest vehicles to this vehicle a voice alert given to driver for alert. And driver going to sleep gives voice alert for driver using voice chip. And give the information about traffic signal indication using RFID. The patterns of interaction between these neurons are represented as thoughts and emotional states. According to the human feelings, this pattern will be changing which in turn produce different electrical waves. A muscle contraction will also generate a unique electrical signal. All these electrical waves will be sensed by the brain wave sensor and it will convert the data into packets and transmit through Bluetooth medium. Level analyzer unit (LAU) is used to receive the raw data from brain wave sensor and it is used to extract and process the signal using Mat lab platform. The nearest vehicles information is information is taken through ultrasonic sensors and gives voice alert. And traffic signals condition is detected through RF technology
Universal Automobile Headlight Control Module for High Beam Adaptation during Night Vision Travel an Embedded Design Approach
Road accidents during night travel increases day by day and vision impairment due to high beam contributes to the majority of the total fatalities. Headlights of vehicles pose a great danger during night driving. [1] The drivers of most vehicles use high/bright beam while driving at night. This causes a discomfort to the person travelling from the opposite direction. The driver experiences a sudden glare caused due to the high intense headlight beam from the other vehicle coming towards him from the opposite direction. We are expected to dim the headlight to avoid this glare. This glare causes a temporary blindness to a person resulting in road accidents during the night. To avoid such incidents, an embedded prototype of Automatic Headlight adaptor module is proposed. This embedded module automatically switches the high beam to low beam and returns backs to high beam, thus reducing the sudden glare effect. It also eliminates the requirement of manual switching by the driver to switch back to low beam Universal Headlight adaptor module is a unique solution to achieve the above objective, the headlight intensity of the incoming vehicles causing the glare is automatically attenuated to low beam wirelessly by the nearby vehicles affected by high beam. The interconnected modules at every vehicle independently takes the decision on the head light control of the source vehicle causing the glare by evaluating various parameters like vehicle speed, current GPS location, direction of vehicle etc
Localized Transient Stability (LTS) Method for Real-time Localized Control
Very recently, a new methodology was introduced solely for the purpose of real-time localized control of transient stability. The proposed new method is based on the localized transient stability of a power system. This is completely a new idea in transient stability. In this method, the post-fault power system is represented by a two-generator localized power system at the site of each individual generator. If each of these localized power systems reaches its respective stable equilibrium, then the full power system also reaches its stable equilibrium. Therefore, in terms of real-time localized control of transient stability, if each of the localized power systems is driven to its respective stable equilibrium by local control actions with local computations using the locally measured data, then the full power system is driven to its stable equilibrium. Thus the method can be easily implemented for real-time localized control of transient stability. In this paper, the details of the mathematical formulations are presented. Some interesting test results on the well-known New England 39-bus 10-generator system are also presented in this paper to demonstrate the potential of the proposed method for use in real-time localized control of transient stability.
PV Smart Grid Monitoring System Based on Hybrid Telepot and Web Server
Monitoring system in the smart grid is a key aspect that determines the reliability of transmission and communication systems in the power grid. The aim of this research is to conduct monitoring in smart grid easier and obiquitous remotely. Measured electrical parameters in smart gird are monitored through Telegram social media and webservice internet-based wirelessly. The role of web service and telepot in the smart grid monitoring system are installed in Raspberry Pi 3 which responsible to receive and process data from sensor module on each nodes and saved in database. The MySQL database accommodates amounts of data containing information on the value of current, voltage, power and time stamp which deliver by sensor node. Web programming is designed using PHP to generate connection to the database and node sensor status that runs continuously. Processed data are conducted in telepot and it is converted in to *.csv file type before sent to the telegram user. The information were also shown in web site as well as in telegram over graph display form that utilize the Highcharts library. Graphs that shows information on voltage, current, and power values can be accessed through a browser using IP address from the Raspberry Pi 3 server. When the users request information to the server, they only need certain command through Telegram social media or open the web broser to access the information from the smart grid system
Health Promotion Model "Extracurricular" Approach of Reproductive Health among Early Adolescents
The behavior to maintenance of reproductive organs, and self-adjustment on changes during puberty become its own problems on early adolescence (10-14 years old). True knowledge can improve reproductive health and prevent of free sex behavior end up with unsafe abortion even death in adolescence. School has a major role in shaping positive attitudes in children towards reproductive health at puberty. It is important to find and develop a program of reproductive health school-based in the form of "extracurricular" health reproductive in early adolescence (10-14 years old) not existed in Indonesia up to now. To find and design a model school-based health promotion programs in the form of "extracurricular" reproductive health that can be applied to the early adolescence in school. Qualitative research with a phenomenology approach, to explore models of reproductive health promotion programs in the early adolescence. The mining data was qualitative of focus group discussion (FGD) and in-depth interview. Participants in this research were 36 people of purposive sampling technique into account maximum variation sampling, and data analyze used the thematic analysis. The study results found a reproductive health promotion model school-base with extracurricular approach of reproductive health. The program is carried out outside school hours learning activities on reproductive health, with a study of the self-development, social, physical, sexual violence and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections. Patient Safety Culture Status and Its Predictors among Healthcare Workers
Good patient safety culture of healthcare professionals brings about fine consequences for patients. This study, therefore, aimed in evaluating the current status and predictors of safety culture among healthcare workers in Mekelle Zone hospitals, Tigray, Northern Ethiopia. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 325 healthcare workers in three hospitals of Mekelle city from February to May, 2017. Simple random sampling technique was employed to select study subjects. Data was analyzed using SPSS. Logistic regression was used to determine the predictors of patient safety culture among healthcare workers at 95% confidence level and 5% level of significance. Statistical significance was set at p <0.05. Of the 325 Healthcare workers, 21.6% rated the culture of patient safety as satisfactory and 78.4% rated as unsatisfactory. Old aged healthcare workers (AOR=21.9, 95% of CI: 2.51-61.69) and ‘hospital management support for patient safety’ (AOR=2.68, 95% CI=1.06-6.79) were strong predictor of satisfactory patient safety culture. Satisfactory patient safety culture grade obtained was only 21.6%, indicating that health care professionals are not delivering patient centered service and there is a lot of work to be done in the hospitals to improve culture of patient safety among healthcare workers.
Affective Disorders in The Elderly: The Risk of Sleep Disorders
The purpose of this study is to look at the relationship of sleep disorders to the incidence of affective disorders. In addition, assess whether the relationship remains significant after controlled variable bullies that also affect the occurrence of sleep disorders and or affective disorders in elderly. Observational study with unmatched case control study design. Individual population age 60 years or older, sampling probability proportional to size, consist of case group that is experiencing sleep disturbance (n=165) and control group (n=330). Respondent sleep disturbance affective disorder 23.6%. There is a significant relationship of sleep disorders to affective disorders. Sleep disorders at risk 2.47 times affective disorder. Sleep disorders can be insomnia, awakening at night or waking up too early which can lead to psychological disorders such as psychological disorders such as anger, unstable emotions, sadness, distress, anxiety is also a physical disorder such as pain in the body. If not immediately addressed can continue to occur depression and even threaten psychiatric disorders. Further research needs to be done to overcome sleep disorders in the elderly.
Super Capacitor Electronic Circuit Design for Wireless Charging
Keeping time as base, a gadget has been proposed, where electrical accessories like Mobiles are charged within a fraction of minutes which is highly efficient and time saver as compared to the present time chargers which take nearly two hours to get fully charged. Objective of this project is to create a circuit which will be charged quickly and wireless. Wireless charging circuit works on the principle of inductive coupling. AC energy has been converted to DC energy through diode rectifier. Oscillator circuit produces high frequency passed by transmitter circuit to transmit magnetic field which is received by receiver circuit. A wireless charging concept with super capacitor will lead to faster charging and long operative life. Here super capacitor is used as a storage device. A Super capacitor has magnificent property, it can charge as well as discharge very quickly and linearly alike battery. The main difference between battery and super capacitor is specific energy, Super capacitor have 10-50 time less than battery
Design of an IOT Based Online Monitoring Digital Stethoscope
Acoustic stethoscopes have low sound levels. Digital stethoscope overcomes this issue by amplifying body sounds electronically. As the sound signals are transmitted electronically, it can be wireless and can provide noise reduction. Acoustic stethoscope can be changed into a digital stethoscope by inserting an electric capacity microphone onto its head. Heart sounds received from the microphone are processed, sampled and sound signals are converted analog to digital and sent wirelessly using the Internet of Things(IOT) techniques, so that multiple doctors can do auscultation and monitor conditions of the patient
