A gifted pupil and his experiences in the 1st grade of elementary school
Get PDFThe diploma thesis focuses on the experiences of a gifted student while attending the first stage of primary school. The aim of the thesis is to study a specific gifted student, to identify the stimuli and influences that have affected him during his schooling, and to describe (on the basis of understanding) his experiences. The topic is approached from the perspective of special education, with the thesis combining theoretical foundations and empirical findings. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of four chapters. In the first chapter I have summarised different definitions, models and types of giftedness. The second chapter describes the basic characteristics of gifted students, methods for their identification and approaches to their education. In the third chapter, I have analysed the basic theoretical framework regarding the experiences of gifted students. The fourth chapter focuses on legislation, implementing regulations and methodological guidelines that define the framework and procedures for the education of gifted students. It also touches on statistical data regarding the number of gifted students in the Czech Republic compared to the Pilsen region. This research uses a mixed...Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou prožitků nadaného žáka v průběhu jeho docházky na 1. stupeň ZŠ. Cílem práce je postihnout konkrétního nadaného žáka, identifikovat impulzy a vlivy, které na něj během školní docházky působily, a popsat (na základě porozumění) jeho prožitky. Téma je uchopeno z perspektivy speciální pedagogiky, přičemž práce kombinuje teoretická východiska a empirické poznatky. Teoretická část práce se skládá ze čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole jsem shrnula různé definice, modely a druhy nadání. Druhá kapitola popisuje základní charakteristiky nadaných žáků, metody jejich identifikace a postupy při jejich vzdělávání. Ve třetí kapitole jsem rozebrala základní teoretickou výbavu prožitků nadaných žáků. Čtvrtá kapitola je zaměřena na legislativu, prováděcí předpisy a metodické pokyny, které definují rámec i postupy při vzdělávání nadaných žáků. The Liability of Vicarious Agents in the Czech Civil Code
Get PDFThe Liability of Vicarious Agents in the Czech Civil Code Abstract This thesis focuses on the analysis of the concept of the direct liability of vicarious agents, which, although not widely known to the general public, intersects with many everyday situations. The aim of this thesis is to define the scope and content of the direct liability of a vicarious agent through an analysis of the current regulation of vicarious liability in the Czech Civil Code and the progressive development of Supreme Court case law. Since the time of the General Civil Code (OZO), this concept has undergone numerous changes in the Czech legal system. A significant shift occurred with the explicit exclusion of the direct liability of all vicarious agents under the Civil Code of 1964. However, the Civil Code of 2012, which replaced the Civil Code of 1964, did not specifically address the direct liability of vicarious agents, leading to discussions among legal experts about the legislator's intent and future judicial interpretation of these rules. The Supreme Court addressed this issue in its long-awaited decision NS 25 Cdo 1029/2021, which set a precedent resulting in case-based reasoning and inconsistency in its subsequent judicial practice. To achieve said aim, the first chapter examines the historical development of this concept...Odpovědnost pomocníka v občanském zákoníku Abstrakt Tato práce se věnuje analýze institutu přímé odpovědnosti pomocníka, který, ačkoliv není široké veřejnosti příliš známý, se prolíná mnoha každodenními situacemi. Cílem této diplomové práce je pojmenovat rozsah a obsah přímé odpovědnosti pomocníka, a to prostřednictvím analýzy současné právní úpravy odpovědnosti (za) pomocníka v českém občanském zákoníku a analýzy postupného vývoje judikatury Nejvyššího soudu. Od dob obecného zákoníku občanského prošel tento institut v českém právním prostředí mnoha změnami. Zásadní změnou bylo výslovné vyloučení přímé odpovědnosti všech pomocníků občanským zákoníkem z roku 1964. Občanský zákoník z roku 2012, který jej nahradil, však nově přímou odpovědnost pomocníků nijak neupravuje. Toto vedlo v odborných kruzích k diskusi ohledně úmyslu zákonodárce a budoucí soudní interpretaci těchto pravidel. Nejvyšší soud se touto problematikou zabýval ve svém dlouho očekávaném rozhodnutí NS 25 Cdo 1029/2021, které stanovilo precedens vedoucí ke kazuistice a nejednotnosti jeho navazující rozhodující praxe. The use of artificial intelligence technologies in law enforcement: the case of the European Union
No full textDiploma thesis deals with the issue of models using artificial intelligence and their application in the field of law enforcement within the member states of the European Union. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the current situation of the use models of predictive policing and facial recognition technologies in the EU and to highlight the new regulatory framework represented by the Artificial Intelligence Act. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the use of artificial intelligence in law enforcement with a focus on predictive policing and facial recognition technology. For both mentioned strategies, the development of their form up to the current state is briefly reviewed. In addition, a key concept for the perception of AI systems within the EU is introduced, namely the concept of trustworthiness, including its criticism. The practical part starts with a case study of the use of the studied AI systems in the context of police work in individual member states. The AI Act itself is also examined. The thesis focuses more closely on the passages related to the examined issue and calculates possible limitations in the effectiveness of the Act. Cílem práce je zanalyzovat aktuální situaci využívání modelů prediktivní policejní práce a technologií na rozpoznávání obličejů v EU a poukázat na nový regulatorní rámec, který představuje Akt o umělé inteligenci. Teoretická část práce se věnuje využití umělé inteligence v oblasti prosazování práva se zaměřením na prediktivní policejní práci a technologii rozpoznávání obličejů. U obou zmíněných využívaných strategií je stručně přestaven vývoj jejich podoby až do aktuálního stavu. Dále je představen klíčový koncept pro vnímání systémů umělé inteligence v rámci Evropské unie, tedy koncept důvěryhodnosti včetně jeho kritiky. Praktická část začíná případovou studií využívání zkoumaných systémů umělé inteligence v rámci policejní práce v jednotlivých členských státech. Zkoumán je i samotný Akt o umělé inteligenci. Práce se blíže zaměřuje na pasáže týkající se zkoumané problematiky a vypočítává možná omezení v efektivitě Aktu. Disinformation and public policy: an analysis of measures and debates during the Russian invasion of Ukraine
No full textThis diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of public policy measures against disinformation discussed in the Czech media environment during the year following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Disinformation threatening national security represents a serious problem that can undermine trust in the state institutions and weaken democratic society. The thesis employs the "What's the Problem Represented to be" (WPR) approach, applied to emerging or merely debated policy proposals. This approach revealed that behind the explicit problem of disinformation lies the implicit problem of hybrid warfare strategies utilized by the Russian Federation. Several key findings emerged from the content analysis conducted in the ATLAS.ti software. Media coverage of the topic was extensive, but the media did not act as a significant agenda-setting actor. Instead, they often reflected the chaos and raised questions about the government's approach. The development of public policy measures was turbulent, characterized by chaotic and non-transparent communication among key actors. Measures such as the government's Media and Disinformation Commissioner or the Action Plan to Combat Disinformation were unsuccessful. Dezinformace ohrožující národní bezpečnost představují závažný problém, který může podkopávat důvěru ve státní instituce a oslabovat demokratickou společnost. Práce využívá přístup "What's the Problem Represented to be" (WPR), který byl aplikován na vznikající či teprve diskutované návrhy politik. Přístup rozkryl, že za explicitním problémem dezinformací stojí implicitní problém strategie hybridní války využívaný Ruskou federací. Z obsahové analýzy provedené v softwaru ATLAS.ti vyplynulo několik podstatných zjištění. Mediální pokrytí tématu bylo rozsáhlé, ale média nefungovala jako významný aktér pro nastolení agendy. Často reflektovala chaos a vyvolávala otázky ohledně vládního postupu. Vývoj veřejněpolitických opatření byl turbulentní a byl charakterizován chaotičností a netransparentností komunikace hlavních aktérů. Interspecific hybridization within genus Aconitum
Get PDFHybridization is a significant evolutionary mechanism that can lead to the emergence of new species or influence the genetic diversity of existing populations. The genus Aconitum is represented in Central Europe by several species, most of which are classified as endangered. Some taxa within this genus have endemic distributions, such as Aconitum plicatum in the Bohemian Massif and Aconitum firmum subsp. moravicum in the Western Carpathians. Effective conservation of these species requires a detailed understanding of the extent of interspecific hybridization. Both of these endemic taxa undergo heteroploid hybridization with Aconitum variegatum. This study aimed to quantify the frequency of hybridization between A. plicatum and A. variegatum in the High Sudetes (Krkonoše and Jeseníky Mountains) and between A. firmum subsp. moravicum and A. variegatum in the Beskydy Mountains. Hybridization was assessed using flow cytometry, which enables the detection of relative genome size and the presence of polyploid individuals, and by analyzing pollen viability as an indicator of hybrid fertility. The results indicate a low frequency of hybrid individuals, with hybrids exhibiting significantly reduced pollen fertility compared to the parental taxa. These findings suggest limited potential for backcrossing and...Hybridizace představuje významný evoluní mechanismus, který může vést k vytvoření nových druhů nebo ovlivnit genetickou diverzitu existujících populací. Rod Aconitum je ve střední Evropě reprezentován několika druhy, které jsou vesměs hodnoceny jako ohrožené. Některé taxony rodu mají endemické rozšíření, například Aconitum plicatum v eském masivu a Aconitum firmum subsp. moravicum v Západních Karpatech. Efektivní ochrana těchto druhů vyžaduje detailní znalost míry jejich mezidruhové hybridizace. U obou zmíněných endemitů dochází k heteroploidní hybridizaci s Aconitum variegatum. Cílem této práce bylo kvantifikovat etnost hybridizace mezi A. plicatum a A. variegatum ve Vysokých Sudetech (Krkonoše, Jeseníky) a mezi A. firmum subsp. moravicum a A. variegatum v Beskydech. Hybridizace byla hodnocena pomocí průtokové cytometrie, která umožňuje detekovat relativní velikost genomu a přítomnost polyploidních jedinců, a dále prostřednictvím analýzy životaschopnosti pylu jako ukazatele fertility hybridů. Výsledky ukazují na nízkou frekvenci hybridních jedinců, přiemž hybridy vykazují výrazně nižší fertilitu pylu ve srovnání s rodiovskými taxony. Tyto výsledky naznaují omezenou schopnost hybridů ke zpětnému křížení a jejich minimální vliv na genetickou diverzitu rodiovských populací. The Bulgarian participation during the Crimean War in relation to Bulgarian National Revival and Commemorative culture from 1856 to 1877
Get PDFThe thesis examines the course of the Crimean War from the perspective of Bulgarian volunteers who took part in the conflict on the side of the Russian Empire in order to liberate their country from Ottoman rule. It traces how the Bulgarian troops were formed, what influence the governments of the Russian Empire and the Principality of Serbia had on their organisation, and how their combat deployment took place. A key issue of the work is the degree of involvement of the Russian and Serbian governments in the organization of these troops and the relations between their government officials and the Bulgarian patriots. The thesis also traces the life paths of several key figures of the Bulgarian national revival against the background of the war events and the building of Bulgarian troops in exile. The Image of Death in the Czech Sign Language
Get PDF(in English) This bachelor's thesis aims to reconstruct the linguistic image of death in Czech sign language and the communication of Czech Deaf people, especially with support from works on the linguistic and cultural image of death in Czech. With a background in cognitive linguistic and ethnolinguistic approaches, the concepts of cognitive linguistics, linguistic image of the world, and metaphor are explained. Death is presented as a target and source area of metaphors in Czech and Czech sign language and as one of the taboo topics in these languages. Based on the research conducted by semi-structured interviews with five Deaf respondents, the thesis deals with the sign vocabulary related to the semantic area of death and dying, the question of its taboo nature, and the way of thematisation of death in the communication of Czech Deaf people. The thesis includes a glossary of selected features related to the semantic area of death, especially focusing on the features of DEATH/DEAD/DYING, including their variants. The thesis deals with the specifics of these labour relations, which are often not governed by the Labour Code as the basic labour law. The author's aim in this work is to analyse these employment relationships, in particular to highlight their specifics, which distinguish them from other professions, and to examine the occurrence of the features of dependent work as a basic concept of the Labour Code, even in cases where the legal regulation contained in the Labour Code does not apply to the relationships arising in the exercise of this profession. This thesis refers mainly to the Czech legislation, because international legislation does not deal with the topic of these labour relations, but it also analyses the topic in relation to Czech settled case law. The basic legal regulations governing the subject are the Act on Advocacy, Act on Courts and Judges and the Labour Code. Práce se zabývá specifiky těchto pracovněprávních vztahů, které se často neřídí zákoníkem práce jakožto základním pracovněprávním předpisem. Autorka si v této práci klade za cíl analyzovat tyto pracovněprávní vztahy, zejména pak upozornit na jejich specifika, jimiž se od ostatních profesí liší, a zkoumat výskyt znaků závislé práce, jakožto základního pojmu zákoníku práce, a to i v případech, kdy se právní úprava obsažená v zákoníku práce na vztahy vzniklé při výkonu této profese nepoužije. Tato práce odkazuje zejména na českou právní úpravu, a to z důvodu, že mezinárodní právní úprava se tématem těchto pracovněprávních vztahů nezabývá, ovšem analyzuje témata i ve vztahu k české judikatuře.
