National audienceOn account of activities such as hunting, fruit, flower or mushroom gathering, setting of snares to catch thrushes and collecting of firewood, the communal forests of the Ardennes region are still remarkably populated. It is surprising to note, however, that women are now practically absent from this space. Beyond classic interpretations of the sexual division of roles and spaces, this new phenomenon raises the contemporary question of how such practices are integrated by the couple and by the family cell. The analysis of discourses relating to such cynegetic activities, mingling the fantasmatic woman with the devoted wife, reveal the contradictions in the relationships between the sexes and within the couple.

On the other hand the value of the immunological techniques to make the diagnosis of loaiasis as well as the difficulties to treat this affection are stressed upon
