Visible, exposée… mais pas disposée à céder : Être femme en terrain politisé au Liban

    No full text

Statistical analysis of thermal and non-thermal components of oceanic pCO2 time series at fixed position

International audienceThe ocean plays a critical role in regulating Earth's climate by acting as a major sink for atmospheric CO2, absorbing approximately 25 % of anthropogenic CO2 emissions annually (Friedlingstein et al., 2023). However, at smaller spatial and temporal scales, the dynamics of ocean-atmosphere CO2 fluxes become more intricate. These fluxes are not always directed towards the ocean, as they depend on the partial pressure of CO2 (pCO2) difference, which is primarily influenced by fluctuations in oceanic pCO2 (Robache et al., 2024). This complexity is particularly evident in coastal regions, where spatio-temporal variability is high. In such regions, both thermal and non-thermal fluctuations of oceanic pCO2 play a significant role in driving these high-frequency dynamics. In this context, we used high-resolution data (30-minute intervals) from the ASTAN buoy, located in Brittany (France), which included measurements of sea surface temperature, salinity, fluorescence, oxygen saturation, and oceanic pCO2 (Gac et al., 2020). We further separated the thermal and non-thermal components of pCO2 using the methodology outlined by Takahashi et al. (1993, 2009). These datasets were analyzed using turbulence framework methods: Fourier spectral analysis to assess scaling properties, triple correlation function for reversibility analysis, and the Liang-Kleeman information flow index for causality analysis. Our results revealed that all data series exhibited scaling properties close to 5/3, as predicted by Kolmogorov-Obukhov in 1941 for homogeneous and isotropic turbulence. Notably, even the non-thermal component of pCO2 followed this pattern. Reversibility analysis suggested that biological processes appear to be reversible, whereas physical processes are not. Finally, we explored the causality between these time series, uncovering non-linear behavior, with varying values observed across different timescales.References :Friedlingstein, P. et al. (2023). Dopant‐induced Morphology of Organic Semiconductors Resulting in High Doping Performance

    No full text
International audienceDoping plays a crucial role in modulating and enhancing the performance of organic semiconductor (OSC) devices. In this study, the critical role of dopants is underscored in shaping the morphology and structure of OSC films, which in turn profoundly influences their properties. Two dopants, trityl tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl) (TrTPFB) and N , N ‐dimethylanilinium tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)borate (DMA‐TPFB), are examined for their doping effects on poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and PBBT‐2T host OSCs. It is found that although TrTPFB exhibits higher doping efficiency, OSCs doped with DMA‐TPFB achieve comparable or even enhanced electrical conductivity. Indeed, the electrical conductivity of DMA‐TPFB‐doped P3HT reaches over 67 S cm −1 , which is a record‐high value for mixed‐solution‐doped P3HT. This can be attributed to DMA‐TPFB inducing a higher degree of crystallinity and reduced structural disorder. Moreover, the beneficial impact of DMA‐TPFB on the OSC films' morphology and structure results in superior thermoelectric performance in the doped OSCs. These findings highlight the significance of dopant‐induced morphological and structural considerations in enhancing the film characteristics of OSCs, opening up a new avenue for optimization of dopant performance

Sexual orientation: The development of European case-law

    No full text
International audienceIn just over half a century, Europe has come a long way towards equal treatment on the grounds of sexual orientation. The two European Courts have played a major role in this process, often as a result of strategic lawsuits initiated by transnational NGOs. This paper explores the case law of these two European courts. It is divided in two parts. The first one focuses on the developments that have led to ending the criminalization of same-sex relationships, but also to condemning mechanisms of exclusion from the public space which are also found in access to employment. The second part deals with developments in European jurisprudence regarding the legal recognition of same-sex couples, as well as the resulting family and social rights

Impact de séances de méditation de pleine conscience sur la symptomatologie du trouble de stress post-traumatique en rééducation cardiovasculaire

    No full text
International audienceGiven the close link between cardiovascular disease and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), it is appropriate to focus on the symptoms of PTSD throughout the cardiology care pathway. The aim of the study presented here, which involved 67 patients, was to integrate an intervention based on mindfulness meditation into a cardiovascular rehabilitation programme and then to assess its impact on the symptoms of PTSD.Compte tenu du lien étroit existant entre les maladies cardiovasculaires et le trouble de stress post-traumatique (TSPT), il convient de s’intéresser aux symptômes de ce dernier tout au long du parcours de soins en cardiologie.
