Energy Router: A Sustainable Solution for Future Residential Buildings
No full textInternational audienceElectric energy consumption is increasing much faster than the predicted growth in energy generation. Although the installed capacity of renewable energy sources is also expanding, grid congestion remains unavoidable without adopting smart energy management systems (EMS) and flexible power electronics structures. Given the significant installed capacity of photovoltaic (PV) systems in the residential sector, moving towards zero-emission buildings (ZEBs) through the use of storage systems and smart power electronics is essential. This article provides a detailed review of power electronics solutions for ZEBs and offers strategies to address related challenges. By exploring the promising future of the low-voltage dc (LVDC) industry in ZEBs, it presents and compares grid connection scenarios and evaluates their overall efficiencies across hybrid, dc, and ac technologies. Furthermore, it addresses the integration of dc and ac systems in energy resources (ER), proposing solutions for challenges related to protection, grounding, and leakage currents. Finally, it examines the latest EMS solutions, emphasizing the shift to full digitalization through a combination of cloud-based and edge-computing platform
La crédibilité des accompagnateurs pédagogiques dans les dispositifs de formation des nouveaux enseignants-chercheurs

Gensbittel analyzes how these individuals are perceived by the lecturers themselves, using credibility categories adapted from the framework established by Deandra Little and David A. Green (2002). As a complementary perspective, Grenoble INP -UGA Graduate schools of Engineering and Management presents its "Marche d’approche" program, with a comparative analysis of credibility at the level of the institution's governance and participants. Additionally, the training programs from Clermont-Auvergne University, the University of Orléans, Sorbonne Nouvelle University, and Panthéon-Sorbonne University will be reviewed to highlight common pitfalls and recommend strategies for enhancing the credibility of both facilitators and their messaging.Symposium RESUMECe symposium analyse les composantes de la crédibilité des personnes intervenant dans l'écosystème que constituent les dispositifs de formation des enseignant.es chercheur.es nouvellement recruté.es. Electrically induced negative differential resistance states mediated by oxygen octahedra coupling in manganites for neuronaldynamics
No full textInternational audienceThe precipitous rise of consumer network applications reiterates the urgency to redefine computing hardware with low power footprint. Neuromorphic computing utilizing correlated oxides offers an energy-efficient solution. By designing anisotropic functional properties in LSMO on a twinned LAO substrate and driving it out of thermodynamic equilibrium, we demonstrate two distinct negative differential resistance states in such volatile memristors. These were harnessed to exhibit oscillatory dynamics in LSMO at different frequencies and an artificial neuron with leaky integrate-and-fire dynamics. A material based modelling incorporating bond angle distortions in neighboring perovskites and capturing the inhomogeneity of domain distribution and propagation explains both the NDR regimes. Our findings establish LSMO as an important material for neuromorphic computing hardware
Le partage social des émotions chez 140 psychologues-psychothérapeutes français
No full textInternational audienceContextTherapists must manage high emotional demands due to the nature of their work. Emotional regulation is crucial not only for their personal well-being but also for the quality of the therapeutic relationship. Ineffective emotional regulation can compromise the therapeutic relationship and increase the risk of burnout. While many studies have explored emotional regulation by therapists during sessions, few have investigated how these emotions are managed outside of sessions, particularly through the social sharing of emotions (SSE) after an interaction with a patient. SSE allows people to express and share emotions with their social environment, which can help regulate negative emotions and strengthen social bonds.Materials and methodsThis study aims to explore the use of SSE among therapists. A sample of 140 French psychologists completed an online questionnaire on the characteristics of emotional sharing outside of therapy following emotions felt during a session. Participants were asked to recall a negative emotional event related to their therapeutic relationship with a patient. Then, they described the intensity and valence of the emotions experienced, and their use of SSE (sharing partner, frequency, and other modalities). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlations.ResultsIn total, 98.57% of participants engaged in SSE after emotionally charged events related to their practice, primarily on the same day as the event. The most frequent sharing partners were colleagues (62.3%) and life partners (55.1%), followed by peer therapists and supervisors. On average, SSE was initiated by the participants themselves and occurred shortly after the emotional event. The frequency of sharing was positively correlated with the intensity of the emotions felt (emotional intensity at the time of the event: tau = 0.245; p < 0.001 and emotional intensity at the time of the study: tau = 0.151; p = 0.026). However, there was no significant correlation with the timing of sharing or its exhaustiveness. Higher emotional intensity was associated with more frequent SSE, suggesting an increased need for sharing when facing intense emotions.ConclusionThe results show that therapists widely use SSE as an emotional regulation strategy, primarily with colleagues and life partners. This highlights the importance of this emotional regulation strategy in their professional practice. Sharing plays a crucial role in providing emotional support, strengthening professional bonds, and facilitating the management of difficult emotions. However, sharing can sometimes become repetitive and unresolved, leading to rumination. Furthermore, excessive sharing with close ones raises ethical and professional concerns, as well as emotional repercussions for the surrounding environment. It is essential to prioritize a professional setting for SSE to maximize its benefits while minimizing the risks of emotional overload and co-rumination. The study thus emphasizes the importance of promoting a professional environment that encourages the social sharing of emotions among colleagues or peers while avoiding excessive involvement of close ones. Future research should explore how to structure this sharing to maximize emotional and professional benefits while minimizing the risks of emotional overload and vicarious impact on close ones. Targeted interventions, such as regular supervision and peer support groups, could strengthen the emotional resilience of therapists, enhance their professional well-being, and, in turn, improve the quality of care offered to patients.ContexteLes psychologues-psychothérapeutes sont confrontés à des expériences émotionnelles variées au cours de leur pratique, plaçant ainsi la question de la régulation émotionnelle au cœur de leur vie professionnelle. Cette étude s’est intéressée à une stratégie de régulation émotionnelle spécifique qu’est le partage social des émotions. Elle visait à explorer son usage et ses caractéristiques dans un échantillon de psychologues-psychothérapeutes français.Matériels et méthodesLes participants ont rempli un auto-questionnaire en ligne, élaboré sur la base d’une sélection d’items provenant de recherches antérieures sur le partage social des émotions. Ils devaient se remémorer un événement émotionnel négatif lié à leur relation thérapeutique avec un patient, afin d’évaluer les caractéristiques du recours au partage social des émotions avec leur environnement social (conjoint, amis, collègues…).RésultatsLes données révèlent que 98,57 % des psychologues-psychothérapeutes interrogés ont partagé leurs émotions suite à une situation professionnelle, principalement le jour même, de manière répétée, avec des collègues de travail en premier lieu, suivis de leur conjoint. De plus, des corrélations significatives ont été observées entre l’intensité émotionnelle (IE) et la fréquence du PSE (IE initiale : tau = 0,245 ; p < 0,001 et IE actuelle : tau = 0,151 ; p = 0,026), mais aucune corrélation significative avec le délai ou l’exhaustivité du partage émotionnel.ConclusionLes psychothérapeutes ont recours au partage social des émotions en contexte professionnel de manière similaire à la population générale. Ceci souligne l’importance de cette stratégie de régulation émotionnelle au sein de leur pratique professionnelle. Bien que ce partage offre un soutien émotionnel et renforce les liens professionnels, il présente également des risques tels que la rumination et soulève des questions éthiques lorsqu’il implique des proches. Pour maximiser les bénéfices du PSE tout en limitant les risques, il est crucial de privilégier un cadre professionnel structuré, comme la supervision et les groupes de soutien entre collègues ou entre pairs, afin de favoriser le bien-être émotionnel des psychothérapeutes et améliorer la qualité des soins prodigués aux patients

This massive training program, totally free of charge, is offered by the APPRENDRE program (Appui à la professionnalisation des pratiques enseignantes et au développement de ressources), coordinated by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), financed by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and developed by CY Cergy Paris Université. The aim is twofold: (1) to develop digital didactic and pedagogical skills in teachers, and (2) to instill in teachers the desire to acquire a digital culture.Ce rapport permet de présenter le processus mis en place pour former les enseignants du primaire, du secondaire et leurs superviseurs pédagogiques, dans les pays francophones émergents et en développement, aux usages des technologies de l’information et de la communication en éducation. Ce dispositif massif de formation, totalement gratuit, est proposé par le programme APPRENDRE (Appui à la professionnalisation des pratiques enseignantes et au développement de ressources), coordonné par l’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), financé par l’Agence Française de Développement (AFD) et élaboré par CY Cergy Paris Université. Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of a New Biphenyl-Based Organogold(III) Complex with In Vitro and In Vivo Anticancer Activity
No full textInternational audienceDespite recent advances in cancer treatment, there is still a need for novel compounds with antineoplastic activity. Among, 11 biphenyl-based organogold(III) N-heterocyclic carbene (BGC) complexes of the general formula [(C^C)Au(NHC-pyr)X], where (C^C) = 4,4'-diterbutylbiphenyl, X = Cl or phenylacetylide, and (NHC-pyr) is a pyridyl-substituted NHC ligand, the complex BGC4 bearing a 4-CF3-pyridyl substituent and a chloride ligand showed promising antineoplastic activity on the triple negative breast cancer cell line. BGC4 was able to induce cell apoptosis but had no effect on the cell cycle. In vivo, BGC4 reduced the tumor growth rate by increasing the necrosis area and decreasing the mitotic activity. Repeated injections of BGC4 did not induce common side effects. The present investigation shows that BGC4 is a promising antineoplastic candidate. Its potential as a future chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer will be strengthened by evaluating its efficacy in combined treatment with current chemotherapy

Flag versions of quiver Grassmannians for Dynkin quivers have no odd cohomology
No full text19 pagesInternational audienceWe prove the conjecture that flag versions of quiver Grassmannians (also known as Lusztig's fibers) for Dynkin quivers (types A, D, E) have no odd cohomology groups over an arbitrary ring. Moreover, for types A and D we prove that these varieties have affine pavings. We also show that to prove the same statement for type E, it is enough to check this for indecomposable representations. We also give a flag version of the result of Cerulli Irelli-Esposito-Franzen-Reineke on rigid representations: we prove that flag versions of quiver Grassmannians for rigid representations have a diagonal decomposition. In particular, they have no odd cohomology groups
Environmental Criteria Optimization of a Power Module

Sizing criteria are selected as optimization variables. The power module is considered as an application case.Findings – The results indicate that the selection of the current rating to maximize efficiency is not always in alignment with minimizing environmental impacts. A sensitivity analysis was conducted to assess the impact of variations in the operating cycle and energy mix on the results.Originality – This work presents novel parametric models founded upon Life Cycle Analysis, which are utilized to quantify the environmental impacts associated with voltage and current ratings.
